হোশেয় ভাববাদীর বই 6
1 “এসো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরে যাই। তিনি আমাদের খণ্ড খণ্ড করেছেন, কিন্তু তিনিই আমাদের আরোগ্য করবেন; তিনি আমাদের জখম করেছেন, কিন্তু তিনিই আমাদের ক্ষতসকল বেঁধে দেবেন।
“Come, and let us return unto the Lord; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind up our wounds.
2 দু-দিন পরে তিনি আমাদের পুনরুজ্জীবিত করবেন; তৃতীয় দিনে তিনি আমাদের করবেন পুনঃপ্রতিষ্ঠিত, যেন আমরা তাঁর সান্নিধ্যে বসবাস করি।
He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his presence.
3 এসো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুকে জ্ঞাত হই, তাঁকে জানার জন্য স্থিরসংকল্প নিয়ে দ্রুত এগিয়ে যাই। অরুণোদয়ের মতোই সুনিশ্চিত তাঁর আবির্ভাব; তিনি আসবেন আমাদের কাছে বৃষ্টির বারিধারার মতো, আসবেন ভূমি-সেচনকারী শেষ বর্ষার মতো।”
And let us feel it, that we may strive to know the Lord; bright as the morning-dawn is his rising; and he will come as the rain unto us, as the latter rain that maketh fruitful the earth.”
4 “ইফ্রয়িম, আমি তোমাকে নিয়ে কী করব? যিহূদা, আমি তোমাকে নিয়েই বা কী করব? তোমাদের ভালোবাসা তো সকালের কুয়াশার মতো, ভোরের শিশির, যা প্রত্যুষেই অন্তর্হিত হয়।
What shall I do unto thee, O Ephraim? what shall I do unto thee, O Judah? for your piety is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away.
5 তাই, আমি ভাববাদীদের দ্বারা তোমাদের খণ্ডবিখণ্ড করেছি, আমার মুখের বাক্য দ্বারা আমি তোমাদের হত্যা করেছি; আমার দণ্ডাজ্ঞা বিদ্যুতের মতো তোমাদের উপরে আছড়ে পড়েছে।
Therefore did I hew [them] down by means of the prophets; I slew them by the words of my mouth: and thy punishments go forth like the light.
6 কারণ আমি দয়া চাই, বলিদান নয়, এবং হোমবলির চেয়ে চাই ঈশ্বরকে স্বীকৃতি দান।
For piety I desired, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God, more than burnt-offerings.
7 আদমের মতো তারা নিয়ম ভেঙে ফেলেছে; তারা ওখানেও আমার প্রতি অবিশ্বস্ত হয়েছিল।
But they, like an ordinary man, have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
8 গিলিয়দ হল দুষ্ট ও অধর্মাচারীদের নগর, তা রক্তাক্ত পদচিহ্নে কলঙ্কিত।
Gil'ad is become a city of workers of wickedness, is full of traces of blood.
9 লুণ্ঠনকারী ব্যক্তিরা যেমন কোনো মানুষের অপেক্ষায় ওৎ পেতে থাকে, তেমনই করে থাকে যাজকের দল; তারা শিখিমের পথে লোকেদের হত্যা করে, তারা লজ্জাকর অপরাধ সংঘটিত করে।
And as troops that lie in wait for a man, so is the band of priests, they murder on the way in unison; for they commit scandalous deeds.
10 আমি ইস্রায়েল কুলে এক ভয়ংকর ব্যাপার দেখেছি। সেখানে ইফ্রয়িম বেশ্যাবৃত্তিতে জড়িয়েছে, আর ইস্রায়েল হয়েছে কলুষিত।
On the house of Israel have I seen a horrible thing: there is lewdness in Ephraim, Israel is become defiled.
11 “এবং যিহূদা, তোমার জন্যও, নিরূপিত আছে এক শস্যচয়নের কাল। “আমি যখনই আমার লোকেদের পরিস্থিতি পুনরুদ্ধার করব,
Also for thee, O Judah, will a harvest be prepared, when I bring back the captivity of my people.
