1 এই হল আদমের বংশাবলির লিখিত নথি। ঈশ্বর যখন মানবজাতিকে সৃষ্টি করলেন, তখন তিনি তাদের ঈশ্বরের প্রতিমূর্তিতেই তৈরি করলেন।

2 তিনি তাদের পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী করে সৃষ্টি করলেন এবং তাদের আশীর্বাদও করলেন। আর তারা যখন সৃষ্ট হলেন তখন তিনি তাদের “মানবজাতি” নাম দিলেন।
God formede hem male and female, and blesside hem, and clepide the name of hem Adam, in the day in which thei weren formed.
3 130 বছর বয়সে আদম তাঁর নিজের সাদৃশ্যে, তাঁর নিজের প্রতিমূর্তিতে এক ছেলে লাভ করলেন; আর তিনি তাঁর নাম দিলেন শেথ।
Forsothe Adam lyuede an hundrid yeer and thretti, and gendride a sone to his ymage and liknesse, and clepide his name Seth.
4 শেথের জন্ম হওয়ার পর, আদম 800 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন এবং তাঁর আরও ছেলেমেয়ে হল।
And the daies of Adam after that he gendride Seth weren maad eiyte hundrid yeer, and he gendride sones and douytris.
5 সব মিলিয়ে, আদম মোট 930 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন, আর পরে তিনি মারা যান।
And al the tyme in which Adam lyuede was maad nyne hundrid yeer and thretti, and he was deed.
6 105 বছর বয়সে শেথ ইনোশের বাবা হলেন।
Also Seth lyuede an hundrid and fyue yeer, and gendride Enos.
7 ইনোশের বাবা হওয়ার পর শেথ 807 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন এবং তাঁর আরও ছেলেমেয়ে হল।
And Seth lyuede aftir that he gendride Enos eiyte hundrid and seuen yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.

And Caynan lyuede after that he gendride Malalehel eiyte hundrid and fourti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
14 সব মিলিয়ে, কৈনন মোট 910 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন, পরে তিনি মারা যান।

22 মথূশেলহের বাবা হওয়ার পর হনোক 300 বছর ধরে বিশ্বস্ততাপূর্বক ঈশ্বরের সাথে চলাফেরা করলেন, এবং তাঁর আরও ছেলেমেয়ে হল।
And Enoth yede with God; and Enoth lyuede after that he gendride Matusalem thre hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
23 সব মিলিয়ে, হনোক মোট 365 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন।
And alle the daies of Enoth weren maad thre hundride and fyue and sexti yeer.
24 হনোক বিশ্বস্ততাপূর্বক ঈশ্বরের সাথে চলাফেরা করলেন; পরে তিনি অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেলেন, কারণ ঈশ্বর তাঁকে তুলে নিলেন।
And Enoth yeed with God, and apperide not afterward, for God took hym awei.
25 187 বছর বয়সে মথূশেলহ, লেমকের বাবা হলেন।
Also Matusalem lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and seuene, and gendride Lameth.
26 লেমকের বাবা হওয়ার পর মথূশেলহ 782 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন এবং তাঁর আরও ছেলেমেয়ে হল।
And Matusalem lyuede after that he gendride Lameth seuene hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and twei, and gendride sones and douytris.
27 সব মিলিয়ে, মথূশেলহ মোট 969 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন, পরে তিনি মারা যান।

28 182 বছর বয়সে লেমকের এক ছেলে হল।

29 তিনি তার নাম দিলেন নোহ এবং বললেন, “সদাপ্রভুর দ্বারা জমি অভিশপ্ত হওয়ার কারণে হাতে কাজ করতে গিয়ে আমাদের যে ব্যথা ও কষ্টকর পরিশ্রম ভোগ করতে হচ্ছে, তা থেকে এই ছেলেটি আমাদের স্বস্তি দেবে।”
and clepide his name Noe, and seide, This man schal comforte vs of the werkis and traueilis of oure hondis, in the loond which the Lord curside.
30 নোহের জন্ম হওয়ার পর, লেমক 595 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন এবং তাঁর আরও ছেলেমেয়ে হল।
And Lameth lyuede after that he gendride Noe fyue hundrid `nynti and fyue yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
31 সব মিলিয়ে, লেমক মোট 777 বছর বেঁচেছিলেন, পরে তিনি মারা যান।
And alle the daies of Lameth weren maad seuene hundrid `thre scoor and seuentene yeer, and he was deed.
32 500 বছর বয়সে নোহ, শেম, হাম ও যেফতের বাবা হলেন।
Forsothe Noe whanne he was of fyue hundrid yeer gendride Sem, Cham, and Jafeth.
