যিহিস্কেল ভাববাদীর বই 6

1 সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

2 “হে মানবসন্তান, তুমি ইস্রায়েলের পর্বতের দিকে মুখ করে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে ভবিষ্যদ্‌বাণী করো

“Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and you shall prophesy against them,

3 এবং বলো: ‘হে ইস্রায়েলের পর্বত, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য শোনো। পাহাড় ও পর্বত, খাদ ও উপত্যকার প্রতি সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে তরোয়াল নিয়ে আসব এবং তোমাদের উচ্চ স্থানগুলি ধ্বংস করে দেব।

and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and hills and cliffs and valleys: Behold, I will lead over you the sword. And I will destroy your exalted places.

4 তোমাদের বেদি সব ধ্বংস করা হবে এবং তোমাদের ধূপবেদিগুলি ভেঙে ফেলা হবে; আর তোমাদের প্রতিমাগুলির সামনে তোমাদের লোকদের আমি মেরে ফেলব।

And I will demolish your altars. And your graven images will be broken apart. And I will throw down your slain before your idols.

5 আমি ইস্রায়েলীদের মৃতদেহগুলি তাদের প্রতিমাদের সামনে রাখব এবং তোমাদের বেদির চারপাশে তোমাদের হাড়গুলি ছড়িয়ে দেব।

And I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel before the face of your idols. And I will scatter your bones around your altars.

6 তোমরা যেখানেই বসবাস করো না কেন সেখানকার নগরগুলি খালি পড়ে থাকবে এবং পূজার্চনার উঁচু স্থানগুলি ধ্বংস হবে, তার ফলে তোমাদের বেদিগুলি জনশূন্য ও বিধ্বস্ত অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকবে, তোমাদের প্রতিমাগুলি চুরমার ও ধ্বংস হবে, তোমাদের ধূপবেদিগুলি ভেঙে পড়ে যাবে এবং তোমাদের তৈরি সবকিছু নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে যাবে।

In all of your habitations, the cities will be made desolate, and the exalted places will be torn down and scattered. And your altars will be broken and destroyed. And your idols will cease to exist. And your shrines will be crushed. And your works will be wiped away.

7 তোমাদের মধ্যে তোমাদের লোকেরা মরে পড়ে থাকবে, আর তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।

And the slain will fall in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.

8 “‘কিন্তু আমি কিছু লোককে বাঁচিয়ে রাখব, তোমাদের কিছু যখন বিভিন্ন দেশে ও জাতির মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে পড়বে তখন সেই লোকেরা তরোয়াল থেকে মৃত্যুর হাত এড়াতে পারবে।

And I will leave among you those who will escape the sword among the Gentiles, when I will have dispersed you upon the earth.

9 আর যে সকল জাতির মধ্যে তাদের বন্দি করে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে, যারা রক্ষা পাবে তারা আমায় মনে রাখবে—তাদের ব্যভিচারী হৃদয় আমাকে কেমন দুঃখ দিয়েছে, যার কারণে আমাকে ত্যাগ করেছে, এবং তাদের চোখ, যা তাদের প্রতিমাদের প্রতি কামনা করেছ। তাদের সব মন্দ ও জঘন্য কাজের জন্য তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের ঘৃণা করবে।

And your liberated shall remember me among the nations to which they were led away as captives. For I have crushed their heart, which fornicated and withdrew from me, and their eyes, which fornicated after their idols. And they will be displeased with themselves over the evils that they have done by all their abominations.

10 আর তারা জানতে পারবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু; তাদের উপর এই বিপদ আনতে আমি অনর্থক বলিনি।

And they shall know that I, the Lord, have not spoken in vain, that I would do this evil to them.”

11 “‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, তুমি করাঘাত ও মাটিতে পদাঘাত করো আর চেঁচিয়ে বলো “হায়!” কারণ ইস্রায়েল কুল তাদের মন্দ ও জঘন্য কাজের জন্য যুদ্ধে, দুর্ভিক্ষে ও মহামারিতে মারা পড়বে।

Thus says the Lord God: “Strike with your hand, and stomp with your foot, and say: ‘Alas, to all the abominations of the evils of the house of Israel!’ For they will fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

12 যে দূরে আছে সে মহামারিতে মরবে, এবং যে কাছে আছে সে যুদ্ধে মারা পড়বে, আর যে বেঁচে যাবে সে দুর্ভিক্ষে মরবে। এইভাবে আমার ক্রোধ আমি তাদের উপর সম্পূর্ণভাবে ঢেলে দেব।

Whoever is far away will die of pestilence. But whoever is near will fall by the sword. And whoever remains and is besieged will die by famine. And I will fulfill my indignation among them.

13 আর তারা জানতে পারবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু, তাদের লোকেরা যখন বেদির চারপাশে প্রতিমাগুলির মধ্যে, সমস্ত বড়ো বড়ো পাহাড়ের উপরে, ডালপালা ছড়ানো প্রত্যেকটি গাছের নিচে এবং পাতাভরা এলা গাছের তলায়—যেখানে তারা তাদের প্রতিমাগুলি উদ্দেশ্যে ধূপ জ্বালাত সেইসব জায়গায় তারা মরে পড়ে থাকবে।

And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain will be in the midst of your idols, all around your altars, on every exalted hill, and on the summits of all the mountains, and under every dense tree, and under every leafy oak: the places where they burned sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.

14 আর আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আমার হাত বাড়াব এবং মরুএলাকা থেকে দিব্‌লা পর্যন্ত জনশূন্য ও ধ্বংসস্থান করব—তারা যেখানেই থাকুক। তখন তারা জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।’”

And I will extend my hand over them. And I will make the earth desolate and destitute: from the desert of Riblah to all their dwelling places. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
