1 সদাপ্রভুর হাত আমার উপরে ছিল এবং তিনি সদাপ্রভুর আত্মায় আমাকে বাইরে নিয়ে গিয়ে একটি উপত্যকার মাঝখানে রাখলেন; সেটি হাড়ে ভর্তি ছিল।
There has been a hand of YHWH on me, and He takes me forth in [the] Spirit of YHWH, and places me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones,
2 তিনি আমাকে তার মধ্যে দিয়ে যাতায়াত করালেন, আর আমি সেই উপত্যকার মধ্যে অসংখ্য হাড় দেখলাম, হাড়গুলি ছিল খুব শুকনো।
and He causes me to pass over by them, all around, and behold, very many [are] on the face of the valley, and behold—very dry.
3 তিনি আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “হে মানবসন্তান, এই হাড়গুলি কি বেঁচে উঠতে পারে?” আমি বললাম, “হে সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু, তুমিই কেবল তা জান।”
And He says to me, “Son of man, do these bones live?” And I say, “O Lord YHWH, You have known.”
4 তখন তিনি আমাকে বললেন, “এই হাড়গুলির উদ্দেশ্যে ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করো এবং তাদের বলো, ‘হে শুকনো হাড়, সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য শোনো!
And He says to me, “Prophesy concerning these bones, and you have said to them, O dry bones, hear a word of YHWH!
5 এই হাড়গুলিকে সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে নিঃশ্বাস ঢুকিয়ে দেব আর তোমরা জীবিত হবে।
Thus said Lord YHWH to these bones: Behold, I am bringing a spirit into you, and you have lived,
6 আমি তোমাদের উপরে শিরা দেব, তোমাদের উপরে মাংস তৈরি করব এবং চামড়া দিয়ে তা ঢেকে দেব; আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে নিঃশ্বাস দেব আর তোমরা জীবিত হবে। তখন তোমরা জানবে যে, আমিই সদাপ্রভু।’”
and I have given sinews on you, and cause flesh to come up on you, and covered you over with skin, and given a spirit in you, and you have lived, and you have known that I [am] YHWH.”
7 আমাকে যেমন আদেশ করা হয়েছিল তেমনই আমি ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করলাম। আর আমি যখন ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করছিলাম, তখন একটি আওয়াজ হল, একটি ঘর্ঘর শব্দ, আর হাড়গুলি প্রত্যেকটা নিজের নিজের হাড়ের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হল।
And I have prophesied as I have been commanded, and there is a noise as I am prophesying, and behold, a rushing, and the bones draw near, bone to its bone.
8 আমি দেখলাম, আর তাদের উপরে শিরা হল ও মাংস উৎপন্ন হল এবং চামড়া দিয়ে তা ঢাকা পড়ল, কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে শ্বাস ছিল না।
And I beheld, and behold, sinews [are] on them, and flesh has come up, and skin covers them over above—and there is no spirit in them.
9 তখন তিনি আমাকে বললেন, “বাতাসের উদ্দেশ্যে ভাববাণী বলো; হে মনুষের সন্তান, ভাববাণী বলো আর তাকে বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, হে বাতাস, তুমি চারদিক থেকে এসো এবং এসব নিহত লোকদের মধ্যে শ্বাস দাও যেন তারা জীবিত হয়।’”
And He says to me: “Prophesy to the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and you have said to the Spirit, Thus said Lord YHWH: Come in from the four winds, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain, and they live.”
10 সেইজন্য তাঁর আদেশমতোই আমি ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী বললাম আর তখন তাদের মধ্যে শ্বাস ঢুকল; তারা জীবিত হয়ে পায়ে ভর দিয়ে উঠে দাঁড়াল, তারা ছিল এক বিরাট সৈন্যদল।
And I have prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit comes into them, and they live, and stand on their feet—a very, very great force.
11 তারপর তিনি আমাকে বললেন, “হে মানবসন্তান, এই হাড়গুলি হল সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল কুল। তারা বলছে, ‘আমাদের হাড়গুলি শুকিয়ে গেছে আর আমাদের আশাও চলে গেছে; আমরা মরে গেছি।’
And He says to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they are saying, Our bones have dried up, And our hope has perished, We have been cut off by ourselves.
12 এজন্য তুমি ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করো এবং তাদের বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, হে আমার লোকসকল, আমি তোমাদের কবর খুলে দেব এবং তোমাদের সেখান থেকে বার করে আনব; তোমাদের আমি আবার ইস্রায়েল দেশে ফিরিয়ে আনব।
Therefore, prophesy, and you have said to them, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am opening your graves, And have brought you up out of your graves, O My people, And brought you into the land of Israel.
13 আমি যখন তোমাদের কবর খুলে তোমাদের বের করে আনব তখন আমার লোকেরা জানবে যে, আমিই সদাপ্রভু।
And you have known that I [am] YHWH, In My opening your graves, And in My bringing you up out of your graves, O My people.
14 আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে আমার আত্মা দেব এবং তোমরা জীবিত হবে ও আমি তোমাদের নিজেদের দেশে বাস করাব। তখন তোমরা জানবে যে, আমি সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেছি এবং সেইমতো কাজ করেছি, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।’”
And I have given My Spirit in you, and you have lived, And I have caused you to rest on your land, And you have known that I, YHWH, have spoken, and I have done [it], A declaration of YHWH.”
15 সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,
And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
16 “হে মানবসন্তান, একটি কাঠের লাঠি নিয়ে তুমি তার উপর এই কথা লেখ, ‘যিহূদা ও তাঁর সঙ্গের ইস্রায়েলীদের জন্য।’ তারপর আরও একটি কাঠের লাঠি নিয়ে তার উপর লেখ, ‘যোষেফের লাঠি (মানে ইফ্রয়িমের) ও তাঁর সঙ্গের সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীদের জন্য।’
“And you, son of man, take one stick for yourself, and write on it, For Judah, and for the sons of Israel, his companions; and take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and all the house of Israel, his companions,
17 সেই দুটো লাঠি জোড়া দিয়ে একটি লাঠি বানাও যেন তোমার হাতে সেই দুটো একটি লাঠিই হয়।
and bring them near to one another, to you, for one stick, and they have become one in your hand.
18 “তোমার জাতির লোকেরা যখন তোমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবে, ‘তুমি কি এর মানে আমাদের বলবে না?’
And when sons of your people speak to you, saying, Do you not declare to us what these [are] to you?
19 তাদের বোলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: আমি যোষেফের লাঠি গ্রহণ করব—যেটি ইফ্রয়িমের হাতে আছে—এবং ইস্রায়েলীদের গোষ্ঠীগুলির যে লাঠিটি আছে আমি সেটি নিয়ে যিহূদার লাঠির সঙ্গে জোড়া দিয়ে একটি কাঠের লাঠিই বানাব, আর সেই দুই লাঠি আমার হাতে একটিই হবে।’
Speak to them, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am taking the stick of Joseph, that [is] in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and have given them to him, with the stick of Judah, and have made them become one stick, and they have been one in My hand.
20 যে লাঠির উপর তুমি লিখেছ সেগুলি তোমার চোখের সামনে তুলে ধরো
And the sticks on which you write have been in your hand before your eyes,
21 আর তাদের বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ইস্রায়েলীরা যেসব জাতিদের মধ্যে আছে সেখান থেকে আমি তাদের বার করে আনব এবং চারদিক থেকে তাদের জড়ো করে তাদের নিজেদের দেশে ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যাব।
and speak to them, Thus said Lord YHWH: Behold, I am taking the sons of Israel, From among the nations to where they have gone, And have gathered them from all around, And I have brought them into their land.
22 ইস্রায়েলের পাহাড়গুলির উপরে আমি তাদের একই জাতি করব। তাদের সকলের উপরে একজনই রাজা হবে এবং তারা কখনও দুই জাতি হবে না কিংবা দুই রাজ্যে বিভক্ত হবে না।
And I have made them become one nation in the land, on mountains of Israel, And one king is to them all for king, And they are no longer as two nations, Nor are they divided anymore into two kingdoms again.
23 তাদের সব প্রতিমা, ঘৃণ্য মূর্তি কিংবা তাদের কোনও অন্যায় দিয়ে তারা আর নিজেদের অশুচি করবে না, কারণ আমি তাদের সব পাপ ও বিপথে যাওয়া থেকে তাদের রক্ষা করব এবং শুচি করব। তারা আমার প্রজা হবে, এবং আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব।
Nor are they defiled anymore with their idols, And with their abominations, And with any of their transgressions, And I have saved them out of all their dwellings, In which they have sinned, And I have cleansed them, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for God.
24 “‘আমার দাস দাউদ তাদের রাজা হবে এবং তাদের পালক একজনই হবে। তারা আমার নিয়ম পালন করবে ও আমার বিধানের বিষয় যত্নবান হবে।
And My servant David [is] king over them, And they all have one shepherd, And they go in My judgments, And they keep My statutes, and have done them.
25 যে দেশ আমি আমার দাস যাকোবকে দিয়েছি, যে দেশে তাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরা বাস করেছে সেখানেই তারা বাস করবে। তারা, তাদের ছেলেমেয়েরা ও নাতিপুতিরা সেখানে চিরকাল বাস করবে এবং আমার দাস দাউদ চিরকাল তাদের রাজা হবে।
And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son’s sons—for all time, And My servant David [is] their prince for all time.
26 আমি তাদের সঙ্গে এক শান্তির নিয়ম স্থাপন করব; সেটি হবে একটি চিরস্থায়ী বিধান। আমি তাদের বসাব ও সংখ্যায় বাড়াব এবং আমি আমার পবিত্রস্থান চিরকালের জন্য তাদের মধ্যে স্থাপন করব।
And I have made a covenant of peace with them, It is a perpetual covenant with them, And I have placed them, and multiplied them, And placed My sanctuary in their midst for all time.
27 আমার বাসস্থান তাদের মধ্যে হবে; আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব এবং তারা আমার প্রজা হবে।
And My dwelling place has been over them, And I have been to them for God, And they have been to Me for a people.
28 তখন জাতিগণ জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু যে ইস্রায়েলকে পবিত্র করেছে, যখন আমার পবিত্রস্থান চিরকাল তাদের মধ্যে থাকবে।’”
And the nations have known that I, YHWH, am sanctifying Israel, In My sanctuary being in their midst for all time!”
