যিহিস্কেল ভাববাদীর বই 34

1 সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 “হে মানবসন্তান, ইস্রায়েলের পালকদের বিরুদ্ধে তুমি ভাববাণী বলো; ভবিষ্যদ্‌বাণী করো এবং তাদের বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ধিক্ ইস্রায়েলের সেই পালকদের যারা শুধু নিজেদেরই দেখাশোনা করে! মেষপালের দেখাশোনা করা কি পালকের কর্তব্য নয়?

Son of man, prophesy concerning the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say unto them, unto the shepherds, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Woe to the shepherds of Israel who do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

3 তোমরা তো দই খাও, পশম দিয়ে কাপড় বানিয়ে পর এবং বাছাই করা মেষ বলিদান করো, কিন্তু মেষদের যত্ন নাও না।

The fat ye eat, and with the wool ye clothe yourselves, those that are well fed ye slaughter; but the flock ye feed not.

4 তোমরা দুর্বলদের সবল করোনি, অসুস্থদের সুস্থ করোনি, আহতদের ক্ষত বেঁধে দাওনি। যারা বিপথে গেছে তাদের ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে আসোনি কিংবা যারা হারিয়ে গেছে তাদের খোঁজ করোনি। তোমরা তাদের কড়া ও নিষ্ঠুরভাবে শাসন করেছ।

The diseased have ye not strengthened, and the sick have ye not healed, and that which had a limb broken have ye not bound up, and the strayed have ye not brought back again, and what was lost have ye not sought for; but with force have ye ruled them and with rigor.

5 তারা ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে কারণ তাদের পালক নেই আর ছড়িয়ে পড়ার দরুন তারা বন্যপশুদের খাবার হয়েছে।

And they were scattered for want of a shepherd; and they became food unto all the beasts of the field, and they were scattered.

6 আমার মেষেরা সমস্ত পাহাড় ও উচ্চ গিরির উপরে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে। তারা সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে, এবং তাদের খোঁজ করেনি।

My sheep have to wander about on all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, over all the face of the land are my flock scattered, and there is none that inquireth and none that seeketh [after them].

7 “‘অতএব, হে পালকেরা, সদাপ্রভুর কথা শোনো।

Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord,

8 সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য দিয়ে বলছি, পালকের অভাবে আমার পাল লুটের জিনিস হয়েছে এবং বন্যপশুর খাবার হয়েছে, আর যেহেতু আমার পালকেরা আমার পালের খোঁজ করেনি বরং তারা নিজেদেরই দেখাশোনা করেছে আমার পালের যত্ন নেয়নি,

As I live, saith the Lord Eternal, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became food unto every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds did not inquire for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and my flock they fed not:

9 অতএব, হে পালকেরা, সদাপ্রভুর কথা শোনো:

Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord,

10 সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমি পালকদের বিপক্ষে এবং আমার পালের জন্য তাদের কাছ থেকে হিসেব নেব। আমি তাদের পালের দেখাশোনা করা থেকে সরিয়ে দেব যেন পালকেরা আর নিজেদের জন্য খাবার না পায়। আমিই আমার পালকে তাদের গ্রাস থেকে উদ্ধার করব, এবং তাদের খাবার হতে দেব না।

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against the shepherds, and I will require my flock from their hand, and I will stop them from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more: and I will deliver my flock out of their mouth, that they may not serve them for food.

11 “‘কারণ সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমি নিজেই আমার মেষদের খুঁজব এবং তাদের যত্ন নেব।

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am here, and I will both inquire for my flocks, and search for them.

12 পালক যেমন তার ছড়িয়ে পড়া পালের খোঁজ করে যখন সে তাদের সঙ্গে থাকে তেমনি আমি আমার মেষকে খুঁজব। মেঘ ও অন্ধকারের দিনে তারা যেসব জায়গায় ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে আমি সেখান থেকে তাদের উদ্ধার করব।

As a shepherd searcheth for his flock on the day that he is among his flocks that are scattered: so will I search for my flocks; and I will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered on the day of clouds and [tempestuous] darkness.

13 আমি তাদের জাতিগণের মধ্যে থেকে বের করে আনব ও বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে সংগ্রহ করব এবং আমি তাদের নিজের দেশে নিয়ে আসব। আমি তাদের ইস্রায়েলের পাহাড়ে, গিরিখাতে এবং দেশের সব বসতিস্থানগুলিতে চরাব।

And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them to their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

14 তাদের আমি ভালো চরানিতে চরাব, এবং ইস্রায়েলের পাহাড়গুলি তাদের চরানিস্থান হবে। ভালো চরানিতে তারা শোবে, এবং তারা ইস্রায়েলের পাহাড়ে ভালো চরানিতে খাবে।

On a good pasture will I feed them, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall be their fold: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel.

15 আমিই নিজের মেষদের চরাব এবং তাদের শোয়াব, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।

I myself will feed my flock, and I myself will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Eternal.

16 যারা হারিয়ে গেছে তাদের আমি খোঁজ করব এবং যারা বিপথে গেছে তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনব। আমি আহতদের ক্ষত বেঁধে দেব এবং দুর্বলদের বলযুক্ত করব, কিন্তু মোটাসোটা ও বলবানদের ধ্বংস করব। আমি ন্যায়বিচারে সেই পালের যত্ন নেব।

That which was lost will I seek for, and that which was gone astray will I bring back again, and that which had a limb broken will I bind up, and the sick will I strengthen: but the fat and the strong will I destroy; I will feed them in justice.

17 “‘আর তোমাদের বিষয়, হে আমার পাল, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমি ভালো ও খারাপ মেষদের মধ্যে বিচার করব, আবার মেষ ও ছাগলের মধ্যে বিচার করব।

And as for you, O my flock, thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will judge between lamb and lamb, between the wethers and the he-goats.

18 তোমাদের পক্ষে ভালো চারণভূমিতে খাওয়া কি যথেষ্ট নয়? আবার বাকি ঘাসগুলিও পা দিয়ে মাড়াতে হবে? তোমাদের পক্ষে পরিষ্কার জল খাওয়া কি যথেষ্ট নয়? আবার বাকি জলও কি পা দিয়ে ঘোলা করতে হবে?

Is it too little for you that ye can feed on the good pasture, that ye must tread down the residue of your pastures with your feet? and that ye can drink clear waters, that ye must render muddy with your feet what is left?

19 তোমরা পা দিয়ে যা মাড়িয়েছ এবং যে জল ঘোলা করেছ তাই কি আমার মেষগুলিকে খেতে হবে?

And as for my flock, what ye have trodden with your feet must they eat; and what ye have made muddy with your feet must they drink.

20 “‘অতএব সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু তাদের এই কথা বলেন, দেখো, আমি নিজেই মোটা আর রোগা মেষের মধ্যে বিচার করব।

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal unto them, Behold, I am here, and I will judge between the fat lamb and the lean lamb.

21 যেহেতু তোমরা দেহ এবং কাঁধ দিয়ে তাদের ঠেলছ, শিং দিয়ে দুর্বলদের গুঁতিয়ে তাড়িয়ে দিচ্ছ,

Because ye thrust with side and with shoulder, and push with your horns all the diseased, till ye have scattered them abroad:

22 আমি আমার পালকে রক্ষা করব, এবং তারা আর লুটের জিনিস হবে না। আমি এক মেষের সঙ্গে আরেক মেষের বিচার করব।

Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between lamb and lamb.

23 আমি তাদের উপর এক পালককে নিযুক্ত করব, আমার দাস দাউদকে, যে তাদের পালন করবে; সে তাদেরকে চরাবে এবং তাদের পালক হবে।

And I will appoint over them one shepherd, and he shall feed them, namely, my servant David: he it is that shall feed them, and he it is that shall be unto them for a shepherd.

24 আমি সদাপ্রভু তাদের ঈশ্বর হব, এবং আমার দাস দাউদ তাদের মধ্যে শাসনকর্তা হবে, আমি সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলছি।

And I the Lord—I will be unto them for a God, and my servant David shall be a prince in their midst: I the Lord have spoken it.

25 “‘আমি তাদের সঙ্গে শান্তির এক বিধান স্থাপন করব এবং দেশ থেকে হিংস্র পশুদের শেষ করব যেন তারা নিরাপদে প্রান্তরে বাস করতে পারে এবং বনে ঘুমাতে পারে।

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and I will cause the wild beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell in the wilderness in safety, and sleep in the forests.

26 আমি তাদের এবং আমার পাহাড়ের চারপাশের জায়গাগুলিকে আশীর্বাদ করব। আমি ঠিক সময়ে বৃষ্টি পাঠাব; সেখানে আশীর্বাদের ধারা বর্ষাবে।

And I will make them and the environs of my hill a blessing; and I will cause the rain to come down in its season; rains of blessing shall they be.

27 মাঠের গাছে গাছে ফল ধরবে এবং মাটি ফসল দেবে; লোকেরা তাদের জায়গায় নিরাপদে থাকবে। তারা জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু, যখন আমি তাদের জোয়ালের খিল ভেঙে ফেলব এবং যারা তাদের দাসত্ব করাচ্ছে তাদের হাত থেকে তাদের উদ্ধার করব।

And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield her products, and they shall be on their land in safety: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I break the bands of their yoke, and deliver them out of the hand of those that had made them labor for them.

28 তারা আর জাতিগণের লুটের জিনিস হবে না কিংবা বন্যপশুরা তাদের খেয়ে ফেলবে না। তারা নিরাপদে বাস করবে আর কেউ তাদের ভয় দেখাবে না।

And they shall be no more a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the land shall not devour them; but they shall dwell in safety, with none to make them afraid.

29 আমি তাদের উর্বর জমি দেব, আর দেশের মধ্যে তারা দুর্ভিক্ষের হাতে পড়বে না কিংবা অন্যান্য দেশের অসম্মানের পাত্র হবে না।

And I will raise up for them a plantation for a [perpetual] renown, and they shall be no more taken away by hunger in the land, neither bear the shameful reproach of the nations any more.

30 তখন তারা জানবে যে আমি, সদাপ্রভু তাদের ঈশ্বর, তাদের সহবর্তী এবং তারা, ইস্রায়েল কুল, আমার প্রজা, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।

Thus shall they experience that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord Eternal.

31 তোমরা আমার মেষ, আমার চরাণির মেষ এবং আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।’”

And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, [and] I am your God, saith the Lord Eternal.
