কলসীয় 3
1 তাহলে, তোমরা যেহেতু খ্রীষ্টের সঙ্গে উত্থাপিত হয়েছ, তাই ঈশ্বরের ডানদিকে, যেখানে খ্রীষ্ট উপবিষ্ট আছেন, সেই স্বর্গীয় বিষয়সমূহে মনোনিবেশ করো।
If then ye have risen with the Messiah, seek the things on high, where the Messiah sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 তোমরা পার্থিব বিষয়সমূহে নয়, স্বর্গীয় বিষয়ে মনোযোগী হও।
Think of things on high; not of the things on earth:
3 কারণ তোমাদের মৃত্যু হয়েছে এবং এখন তোমাদের জীবন খ্রীষ্টের সঙ্গে ঈশ্বরে নিহিত আছে।
for ye are dead; and your life is hidden with the Messiah, in God.
4 তোমাদের জীবনস্বরূপ খ্রীষ্ট যখন প্রকাশিত হবেন, তখন তোমরাও তাঁর সঙ্গে মহিমায় প্রকাশিত হবে।
And when the Messiah, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also be manifested with him in glory.
5 তাই তোমাদের সমস্ত পার্থিব প্রবৃত্তিকে নাশ করো—অনৈতিক যৌনাচার, অশুদ্ধতা, ব্যভিচার, কামনাবাসনা এবং লোভ যা হল প্রতিমাপূজা।
Mortify therefore your members that are on the earth; whoredom, impurity, and the passions, and evil concupiscence, and avarice which is idolatry.
6 এসব কারণেই যারা অবাধ্য, তাদের উপর ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধ নেমে এসেছে।
For on account of these things, the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.
7 বিগত জীবনে, এক সময় তোমরা এসব কিছুতেই অভ্যস্ত ছিলে।
And in these things ye also formerly walked, when ye lived in them.
8 কিন্তু এখন তোমরা এসব বিষয় পরিত্যাগ করো: ক্রোধ, রোষ, বিদ্বেষ ও পরনিন্দা, এবং মুখে অশ্লীল ভাষা উচ্চারণ করা।
But now, put away from you all these, wrath, anger, malice, reviling, filthy talking:
9 পরস্পরের কাছে মিথ্যা কথা বোলো না, কারণ তোমরা তোমাদের পুরোনো সত্তাকে তার কার্যকলাপসহ পরিত্যাগ করে
and lie not one to another; but put off the old man, with all his practices;
10 নতুন সত্তাকে পরিধান করেছ, যা তার স্রষ্টার প্রতিমূর্তিতে ঈশ্বরের জ্ঞানে নতুন হয়ে উঠছে।
and put ye on the new man, that is renewed in knowledge, after the likeness of his Creator;
11 এখানে গ্রিক বা ইহুদি, সুন্নত হওয়া বা সুন্নতবিহীন, বর্বর, স্কুথীয়, ক্রীতদাস বা স্বাধীন বলে কিছু নেই, খ্রীষ্টই সব এবং তিনি সকলের মধ্যে আছেন।
where there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision, neither Greek nor barbarian, neither bond nor free; but the Messiah is all, and in all.
12 অতএব, ঈশ্বরের মনোনীত, পবিত্র ও প্রিয়জনরূপে সহানুভূতি, দয়া, নম্রতা, সৌজন্যবোধ এবং সহিষ্ণুতায় নিজেদের আবৃত করো।
Therefore, holy and beloved, as the elect of God, put ye on compassions, and tenderness, and suavity, and humbleness of mind, and gentleness, and long suffering.
13 পরস্পরের প্রতি সহনশীল হও। একের বিরুদ্ধে অপরের কোনো ক্ষোভ থাকলে, পরস্পরকে ক্ষমা করো। প্রভু যেমন তোমাদের ক্ষমা করেছেন, তোমরাও তেমনই করো।
And be ye indulgent towards one another, and forgiving to one another: and if any one has a complaint against his neighbor, as the Messiah forgave you, so also do ye forgive.
14 এসব গুণের ঊর্ধ্বে ভালোবাসাকে পরিধান করো, যা সেইসব গুণকে পূর্ণ ঐক্যের বাঁধনে আবদ্ধ করে।
And with all these, join love, which is the girdle of perfection.
15 খ্রীষ্টের শান্তি তোমাদের হৃদয়ে কর্তৃত্ব করুক, কারণ একই দেহের অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গরূপে তোমরা শান্তির উদ্দেশে আহূত হয়েছ। আর তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞ হও।
And let the peace of the Messiah direct your hearts; for to that ye have been called, in one body; and be ye thankful to the Messiah.
16 তোমাদের অন্তরে খ্রীষ্টের বাক্য প্রচুর পরিমাণে অবস্থিতি করুক; তোমরা সমস্ত বিজ্ঞতায় বিভূষিত হয়ে পরস্পরকে শিক্ষাদান ও সচেতন করো এবং গীত, স্তুতি ও আত্মিক সংকীর্তনে মুখর হয়ে ঈশ্বরের প্রতি তোমাদের হৃদয়ের কৃতজ্ঞতায় তা করো।
And let his word dwell in you richly, in all wisdom. And teach and admonish yourselves, by psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, and with grace in your hearts sing ye unto God.
17 আর কথায় ও কাজে, তোমরা যা কিছুই করো, সবই প্রভু যীশুর নামে করো, তাঁরই মাধ্যমে পিতা ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ দিতে দিতে তা করো।
And whatever ye do in word or act, do it in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, and give thanksgiving through him to God the Father.
18 স্ত্রীরা, স্বামীর বশ্যতাধীন হও। প্রভুতে এরকম আচরণই সংগত।
Wives, be ye subject to your husbands, as is right in the Messiah.
19 স্বামীরা, তোমরা নিজের নিজের স্ত্রীকে ভালোবেসো। তাদের প্রতি রূঢ় আচরণ কোরো না।
Husbands, love ye your wives, and be not bitter towards them.
20 সন্তানেরা, সব বিষয়ে বাবা-মার বাধ্য হও, কারণ এরকম আচরণই প্রভুর প্রীতিজনক।
Children, obey your parents in every thing; for this is pleasing before our Lord.
21 পিতারা, সন্তানদের উত্যক্ত কোরো না, করলে তারা উৎসাহ হারিয়ে ফেলবে।
Parents, anger not your children, lest they be discouraged.
22 ক্রীতদাসেরা, তোমরা সব বিষয়ে জগতের মনিবদের আজ্ঞা পালন করো; তাদের অনুগ্রহ লাভের জন্য বা তারা যখন তোমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখে, তখনই শুধু নয়, কিন্তু অকপট হৃদয়ে প্রভুর প্রতি সম্ভ্রমবশত তা করো।
Servants, obey in all things your bodily masters; not in the sight of the eye only, as those who please men, but with a simple heart, and in the fear of the Lord.
23 মানুষের জন্য নয়, প্রভুরই জন্য করছ মনে করে, যা কিছুই করো, মনপ্রাণ দিয়ে করো,
And whatever ye do, do it with your whole soul, as unto our Lord, and not as to men:
24 কারণ তোমাদের জানা আছে, প্রভুর কাছ থেকে তোমরা পুরস্কাররূপে এক অধিকার লাভ করবে। তোমরা প্রভু খ্রীষ্টেরই সেবায় রত আছ।
and know ye, that from our Lord ye will receive a recompense as the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord the Messiah.
25 অন্যায়কারী তার অন্যায়ের প্রতিফল পাবে, কারণ ঈশ্বরের কাছে কোনও পক্ষপাতিত্ব নেই।
But the delinquent will receive a recompense, according to the delinquency; and there is no respect of persons.
