1 এর মধ্যে শৌল তখনও তাঁর শ্বাসপ্রশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে ভয় দেখাচ্ছিলেন ও প্রভুর শিষ্যদের হত্যা করতে উদ্যত ছিলেন। তিনি মহাযাজকের কাছে গিয়ে
But Saul still breathing out threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, having gone to the high priest,
2 দামাস্কাসের সমাজভবনগুলির উদ্দেশে তাঁর কাছে কয়েকটি পত্র লিখে দিতে অনুরোধ করলেন, যেন নারী-পুরুষ নির্বিশেষে সেই পথের অনুসারী যদি কাউকে দেখতে পান, তাদেরকে বন্দি করে জেরুশালেমে নিয়ে আসতে পারেন।
requested from him letters in Damascus to the synagogues, so that if any he shall find of the way being men both and women, bound he may bring [them] to Jerusalem.
3 দামাস্কাসে যাওয়ার পথে, যখন তিনি সে নগরের কাছে পৌঁছালেন, হঠাৎই আকাশ থেকে এক আলো তাঁর চারপাশে দ্যুতিমান হয়ে উঠল।
In now proceeding it came to pass [as] he [is] drawing near to Damascus, suddenly (also *N(k)O*) him flashed around a light (from *N(k)O*) heaven;
4 তিনি মাটিতে পড়ে গেলেন ও এক কণ্ঠস্বর শুনতে পেলেন তাঁকে বলছে, “শৌল, শৌল, তুমি কেন আমাকে নির্যাতন করছ?”
And having fallen on the ground he heard a voice saying to him; Saul Saul, why Me do you persecute?
5 শৌল জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “প্রভু, আপনি কে?” তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “আমি যীশু, যাঁকে তুমি নির্যাতন করছ।
He said then; Who are You, Lord? And [He said] (Lord said: *k*) I myself am Jesus whom you yourself are persecuting (hard to you to stingers to kick; *K*)
6 এখন ওঠো, আর নগরের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করো। তোমাকে যা করতে হবে, তা তোমাকে জানিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।”
(they tremble then and were astonished he said Lord what me you desire to do and the Lord [said] to him *K*) (But *NO*) do rise up and do enter into the city, and it will be told you (that *N(o)*) (what *NK(o)*) you it behooves to do.
7 শৌলের সহযাত্রীরা নির্বাক হয়ে সেখানে দাঁড়িয়ে রইল। তারা সেই শব্দ শুনলেও কাউকে দেখতে পেল না।
And the men those traveling with him had stood speechless, hearing indeed the voice, no one however seeing.
8 শৌল মাটি থেকে উঠে দাঁড়ালেন, কিন্তু তিনি চোখ খুললে পর কিছুই দেখতে পেলেন না। তাই তারা তাঁর হাত ধরে তাঁকে দামাস্কাসে নিয়ে গেল।
Rose up then (*k*) Saul from the ground, opened (however *NK(o)*) the eyes of him (no [thing] *N(k)O*) he was seeing; Leading by the hand then him they brought [him] to Damascus.
9 তিন দিন যাবৎ তিনি দৃষ্টিহীন রইলেন, খাবার বা পানীয় কিছুই গ্রহণ করলেন না।
And he was days three without seeing and neither did he eat nor drink.
10 দামাস্কাসে অননিয় নামে একজন শিষ্য ছিলেন। প্রভু এক দর্শনের মাধ্যমে তাঁকে ডাক দিলেন, “অননিয়!” তিনি উত্তর দিলেন, “হ্যাঁ প্রভু, দেখুন, এই আমি!”
There was now a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias, And said to him in a vision the Lord; Ananias. And he said; Behold me myself, Lord.
11 প্রভু তাঁকে বললেন, “তুমি সরল নামক রাস্তায় অবস্থিত যিহূদার বাড়িতে যাও এবং তার্ষ নগরের শৌল নামে এক ব্যক্তির সন্ধান করো, কারণ সে প্রার্থনা করছে।
And the Lord to him [said]; (Having risen up *NK(o)*) do go into the street which is being called Straight and do seek in [the] house of Judas Saul named of Tarsus; Behold for he is praying
12 এক দর্শনে সে দেখেছে যে, অননিয় নামে এক ব্যক্তি এসে তার উপরে হাত রাখলেন, যেন সে দৃষ্টিশক্তি ফিরে পায়।”
and he saw a man in a vision Ananias named having come and having put on him (the *no*) (hands, *N(K)O*) so that he may see again.
13 অননিয় উত্তর দিলেন, “প্রভু, আমি এই লোকটি সম্পর্কে বহু অভিযোগ এবং জেরুশালেমে তোমার পবিত্রগণের যে সমস্ত ক্ষতি করেছে, তা আমি শুনেছি।
Answered but (*k*) Ananias; Lord, (I have heard *N(k)O*) from many concerning man this, how many evils to the saints of You he did in Jerusalem;
14 আবার এখানেও যারা তোমার নামে ডাকে, তাদের সবাইকে গ্রেপ্তার করার জন্য সে প্রধান যাজকদের কাছ থেকে ক্ষমতা নিয়ে এসেছে।”
and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all those calling on the name of You.
15 কিন্তু প্রভু অননিয়কে বললেন, “তুমি যাও! অইহুদি সব জাতি ও তাদের রাজাদের কাছে এবং ইস্রায়েলী জনগণের কাছে আমার নাম প্রচার করার জন্য সে আমার মনোনীত পাত্র।
Said however to him the Lord; do go, for a vessel of choice is to Me this [man] to carry the name of Me before (the *o*) Gentiles (and *no*) also kings [the] sons then of Israel.
16 আমি তাকে দেখাব যে আমার নামের জন্য তাকে কত কষ্টভোগ করতে হবে।”
I myself for will show to him how much it behooves him for the name of Me to suffer.
17 অননিয় তখন সেই বাড়ির উদ্দেশে চলে গেলেন এবং সেখানে প্রবেশ করলেন। শৌলের উপরে হাত রেখে তিনি বললেন, “ভাই শৌল, প্রভু যীশু, যিনি তোমার আসার সময় পথে তোমাকে দর্শন দিয়েছেন, তিনি আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন, যেন তুমি দৃষ্টি ফিরে পাও ও পবিত্র আত্মায় পূর্ণ হও।”
Went away then Ananias and entered into the house, and having laid upon him the hands he said; Saul Brother, the Lord has sent me, Jesus the [One] having appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, that you may see again and you may be filled [of the] Spirit Holy.
18 সঙ্গে সঙ্গে, আঁশের মতো কোনো বস্তু শৌলের দু-চোখ থেকে পড়ে গেল এবং তিনি আবার দেখতে লাগলেন। তিনি উঠে বাপ্তাইজিত হলেন,
And immediately fell of him from the eyes (as *N(k)O*) scales, he regained his sight also (immediately *K*) And having risen up he was baptized,
19 এবং পরে কিছু খাবার খেয়ে তাঁর শক্তি ফিরে পেলেন। শৌল কয়েক দিন দামাস্কাসে শিষ্যদের সঙ্গে সময় কাটালেন।
and having taken food (he strengthened. *NK(o)*) He was now (Saul *k*) with those in Damascus [the] disciple, s days [for] some;
20 দেরি না করে তিনি সমাজভবনগুলিতে প্রচার করতে লাগলেন যে, যীশুই ঈশ্বরের পুত্র।
And immediately in the synagogues he was proclaiming (Jesus, *N(K)O*) that He is the Son of God.
21 যারা তাঁর কথা শুনল, তারা বিস্মিত হয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “এ কি সেই ব্যক্তি নয় যে জেরুশালেমে তাদের সর্বনাশ করেছিল যারা যীশুর নামে ডাকে, এবং তাদের বন্দি করে প্রধান যাজকদের কাছে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্যই কি সে এখানে আসেনি?”
Were amazed then all those hearing and were saying; Surely this is the [one] having caused havoc (in *N(k)O*) Jerusalem those calling on name this? And here for this he had come that bound them he may bring to the chief priests.
22 কিন্তু শৌল শক্তিতে উত্তরোত্তর বৃদ্ধি পেতে লাগলেন এবং যীশুই যে মশীহ, দামাস্কাসবাসী ইহুদিদের কাছে তা প্রমাণ করে তাদের হতবুদ্ধি করে দিলেন।
Saul however all the more was empowered and was confounding the Jews those dwelling in Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
23 এভাবে অনেকদিন কেটে যাওয়ার পর ইহুদিরা তাঁকে হত্যা করার ষড়যন্ত্র করল।
When now were passed days many, plotted together the Jews to execute him;
24 কিন্তু শৌল তাদের পরিকল্পনার কথা জানতে পারলেন। তাঁকে হত্যা করার উদ্দেশ্যে তারা দিনরাত নগরদ্বারগুলিতে সতর্ক পাহারা দিতে লাগল।
became known however to Saul the plot of them. (They were themselves watching now *N(k)O*) (also *no*) the gates by day and also night, so that him they may execute;
25 কিন্তু তাঁর অনুগামীরা একটি বড়ো ঝুড়িতে করে প্রাচীরের একটি ছিদ্রের মধ্য দিয়ে রাত্রিবেলা তাঁকে নামিয়ে দিলেন।
having taken however the disciples (of him *NO*) by night through the wall they let down him having lowered [him] in a basket.
26 তিনি যখন জেরুশালেমে এলেন, তিনি শিষ্যদের সঙ্গে যোগ দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করলেন। কিন্তু তাঁরা সকলেই তাঁর সম্পর্কে ভীত হলেন, বিশ্বাস করতে চাইলেন না যে, তিনি প্রকৃতই শিষ্য হয়েছেন।
Having arrived then (Saul *k*) (in *NK(o)*) Jerusalem (he was trying *N(k)O*) to join to the disciples; And all were afraid of him not believing that he is a disciple.
27 কিন্তু বার্ণবা তাঁর হাত ধরে তাঁকে প্রেরিতশিষ্যদের কাছে নিয়ে গেলেন। তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, শৌল কীভাবে তাঁর যাত্রাপথে প্রভুর দর্শন লাভ করেছেন এবং প্রভু তাঁর সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন, আবার দামাস্কাসে তিনি কেমন সাহসের সঙ্গে যীশুর নামে প্রচার করেছেন।
Barnabas however having taken him he brought [him] to the apostles and he related to them how on the road he had seen the Lord and that He had spoken to him and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
28 এভাবে শৌল তাঁদের সঙ্গে থেকে গেলেন। তিনি স্বচ্ছন্দে জেরুশালেমে এদিক-ওদিক যাতায়াত করতে লাগলেন, প্রভুর নামে সাহসের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে লাগলেন।
And he was with them coming in and going out (in *N(k)O*) Jerusalem,
29 তিনি গ্রিকভাষী ইহুদিদের সঙ্গে আলাপ-আলোচনা ও তর্কবিতর্কে যুক্ত হলেন, কিন্তু তারা তাঁকে হত্যা করার চেষ্টা করল।
(and *k*) speaking boldly in the name of the Lord (Jesus, *K*) He was speaking also and he was debating with the Hellenists; but they were seeking to execute him.
30 বিশ্বাসী ভাইয়েরা যখন একথা জানতে পারলেন, তাঁরা তাঁকে কৈসরিয়ায় নিয়ে গেলেন এবং সেখান থেকে তার্ষে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন।
Having known [it] however the brothers brought down him to Caesarea and sent away him to Tarsus.
31 এরপরে যিহূদিয়া, গালীল ও শমরিয়ার সর্বত্র মণ্ডলীগুলি শান্তি উপভোগ করতে লাগল ও শক্তিশালী হতে লাগল। তারা প্রভুর ভয়ে দিন কাটিয়ে ও পবিত্র আত্মার দ্বারা প্রেরণা লাভ করে সংখ্যায় বৃদ্ধিলাভ করল।
(the *N(k)O*) indeed then (church *N(K)O*) throughout all of Judea and Galilee and Samaria (had *N(k)O*) peace, (being edified *N(k)O*) and (going on *N(k)O*) in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit (it were multiplied. *N(k)O*)
32 পিতর যখন দেশের সর্বত্র যাতায়াত করছিলেন, তিনি লুদ্দায় পবিত্রগণের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন।
It came to pass that now Peter passing through all [quarters] descending also to the saints those inhabiting Lydda.
33 সেখানে তিনি ঐনিয় নামে এক ব্যক্তির সন্ধান পেলেন, সে ছিল পক্ষাঘাতগ্রস্ত ও আট বছর যাবৎ শয্যাশায়ী।
He found then there a man certain named Aeneas for years eight lying on (a bed *N(k)O*) who was paralyzed.
34 পিতর তাকে বললেন, “ঐনিয়, যীশু খ্রীষ্ট তোমার সুস্থ করছেন। তুমি ওঠো ও তোমার বিছানা গুটিয়ে নাও।” ঐনিয় সঙ্গে সঙ্গে উঠে দাঁড়াল।
And said to him Peter; Aeneas, heals you Jesus (*k*) Christ; do rise up and do make the bed for yourself. And immediately he rose up;
35 লুদ্দা ও শারোণ-নিবাসী সব মানুষ তাকে সুস্থ দেখতে পেল ও প্রভুকে গ্রহণ করল।
And saw him all those inhabiting Lydda and (Sharon, *NK(o)*) who turned to the Lord.
36 জোপ্পায় টাবিথা নামে এক মহিলা শিষ্য ছিলেন (এই নামের অনূদিত অর্থ, দর্কা); তিনি সবসময় সৎকর্ম করতেন ও দরিদ্রদের সাহায্য করতেন।
In Joppa now certain there was a disciple named Tabitha, which being translated is called Dorcas; She was full of works good and of alms that she was doing;
37 সেই সময় তিনি অসুস্থ হয়ে মারা যান। তাঁর শরীর ধুয়ে দিয়ে উপরতলার একটি ঘরে রেখে দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
It came to pass however in the days those [that] having become sick she to die; Having washed [her] then put [her] they in an upper room.
38 লুদ্দা জোপ্পার কাছেই ছিল, তাই শিষ্যেরা যখন শুনল যে, পিতর লুদ্দায় আছেন, তারা তাঁর কাছে দুজন লোককে পাঠিয়ে মিনতি করল, “অনুগ্রহ করে আপনি এখনই চলে আসুন!”
Near now being Lydda to Joppa the disciples having heard that Peter is in it, sent two men to him imploring; Not (you may delay *N(k)O*) coming to (us. *N(K)O*)
39 পিতর তাদের সঙ্গে গেলেন। তিনি সেখানে পৌঁছালে তাঁকে উপরতলার সেই ঘরে নিয়ে যাওয়া হল। বিধবারা কাঁদতে কাঁদতে তাঁর চারপাশে দাঁড়িয়েছিল, দর্কা তাদের সঙ্গে থাকার সময় যে সমস্ত আলখাল্লা ও অন্যান্য পোশাক তৈরি করেছিলেন, সেসব তাঁকে দেখাতে লাগল।
Having risen up then Peter went with them; who having arrived they brought [him] into the upper room, And stood by him all the widows weeping and showing [the] tunics and garments how much was making with them being Dorcas.
40 পিতর তাদের সবাইকে সেই ঘর থেকে বের করে দিলেন। তারপর তিনি নতজানু হয়ে প্রার্থনা করলেন। মৃত মহিলার দিকে ফিরে তিনি বললেন, “টাবিথা, ওঠো।” তিনি তাঁর চোখ খুললেন এবং পিতরকে দেখে উঠে বসলেন।
Having put then outside all Peter and having bowed the knees he prayed; And having turned to the body he said; Tabitha, do arise. And she opened the eyes of her and having seen Peter she sat up.
41 তিনি তাঁর হাত ধরলেন ও তাঁর দু-পায়ে ভর দিয়ে তাঁকে উঠে দাঁড়াতে সাহায্য করলেন। তারপর তিনি সব বিধবা ও অন্য বিশ্বাসীদের ডেকে তাদের কাছে তাঁকে জীবিত অবস্থায় উপস্থিত করলেন।
Having given then to her [his] hand he raised up her; Having called then the saints and the widows he presented her living.
42 জোপ্পার সর্বত্র একথা প্রকাশ পেল, আর বহু মানুষ প্রভুর উপরে বিশ্বাস করল।
Known then it became throughout all of Joppa, and believed many on the Lord.
43 পিতর কিছুকাল জোপ্পায় শিমোন নামে এক চর্মকারের বাড়িতে থাকলেন।
It came to pass then days many staying (he *ko*) in Joppa with a certain Simon a tanner.
