২য তীমথি 3
1 কিন্তু একথা মনে রেখো: শেষের দিনগুলিতে ভীষণ দুঃসময় ঘনিয়ে আসবে;
This, also, know, that in latter days perilous times will come.
2 মানুষ হবে আত্মপ্রেমী, অর্থপ্রিয়, দাম্ভিক, অহংকারী, পরনিন্দুক, বাবা-মার অবাধ্য, অকৃতজ্ঞ, অপবিত্র,
For men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, proud, defamers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 প্রেমহীন, ক্ষমাহীন, কুৎসা-রটনাকারী, আত্মসংযমহীন, নৃশংস, ভালো সবকিছুকে ঘৃণা করবে,
without natural affection, bargain-breakers, slanderers, incontinent, fierce, haters of good men,
4 বিশ্বাসঘাতক, বেপরোয়া, আত্মাভিমানী, ঈশ্বরকে ভালোবাসার চেয়ে তারা ভোগ-বিলাসকেই বেশি ভালোবাসবে।
headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God;
5 তারা ভক্তির ছদ্মবেশ ধারণ করবে, কিন্তু তাঁর পরাক্রমকে তারা অস্বীকার করবে। তুমি তাদের সঙ্গে কোনো সম্পর্ক রেখো না।
having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it. Now, from these, turn away.
6 তারা কৌশলে ঘরে ঘরে প্রবেশ করে পাপ-ভারাক্রান্ত ও সমস্ত রকমের দুষ্প্রবৃত্তির দ্বারা চালিত, দুর্বলচিত্ত স্ত্রীলোকদের উপরে আধিপত্য বিস্তার করে।
Of these, indeed, are they who go into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts;
7 তারা সর্বদা শিক্ষা লাভ করলেও, কখনোই সত্য স্বীকার করতে পারে না।
always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 যান্নি এবং যাম্ব্রি যেমন মোশির বিরুদ্ধতা করেছিল, তারাও তেমনই সত্যের প্রতিরোধ করে। তাদের মন দূষিত, যাদের বিশ্বাস সম্বন্ধে যতদূর বলা যেতে পারে, তারা কোনো পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হতে পারবে না।
Now, in the manner that Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men wholly corrupted in mind, reprobate as to the faith.
9 তারা বেশি দূর এগিয়ে যেতে পারবে না কারণ সেই দুই ব্যক্তির মতো তাদের মূর্খতাও সকলের সামনে প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়বে।
However, they shall not proceed further; for their foolishness shall be very plain to all, as theirs also was.
10 তুমি অবশ্য আমার শিক্ষা, আমার জীবনচর্যা, আমার উদ্দেশ্য, বিশ্বাস, ধৈর্য, ভালোবাসা, সহিষ্ণুতা,
But you have fully known my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, meekness, love, patience,
11 লাঞ্ছনা, দুঃখকষ্ট, সবকিছু জানো—যেসব ঘটনা আন্তিয়খ, ইকনিয় ও লুস্ত্রাতে আমার প্রতি ঘটেছিল এবং যেসব নির্যাতন আমি সহ্য করেছিলাম। তবুও প্রভু সে সমস্ত থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করেছেন।
persecutions, sufferings, such as befell me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra: such persecutions I endured; but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 প্রকৃতপক্ষে, খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে যারা ভক্তিপূর্ণ জীবনযাপন করতে চায়, তারা নির্যাতিত হবেই।
And all, indeed, who will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall be persecuted:
13 কিন্তু একই সময়ে, দুষ্ট প্রকৃতির লোকেরা ও প্রতারকেরা, ক্রমাগত মন্দ থেকে নিকৃষ্টতার দিকে যাবে, তারা অন্যদের প্রতারণা করবে এবং নিজেরাও প্রতারিত হবে।
but wicked men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 কিন্তু তুমি যা শিখেছ এবং বিশ্বাস করেছ, তা পালন করে চলো। কারণ, তুমি জানো যে তুমি কাদের কাছে শিক্ষা পেয়েছ,
In the meantime, do you continue in the things which you have learned, and with which you have been intrusted, knowing from whom you have learned them;
15 এবং ছোটোবেলা থেকে কীভাবে পবিত্র শাস্ত্র জেনেছ, তাও তুমি জানো। সে সবকিছু খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে পরিত্রাণের জন্য তোমাকে বিজ্ঞ করে তুলতে সক্ষম।
and that, from a child, you have known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 সমস্ত শাস্ত্রলিপি ঈশ্বর-নিশ্বসিত এবং শিক্ষা, তিরস্কার, সংশোধন ও ধার্মিকতায় প্রশিক্ষণের জন্য উপযোগী,
All scripture, given by divine inspiration, is indeed profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 যেন ঈশ্বরের লোক পরিপক্ব ও সমস্ত সৎকর্মের জন্য সুসজ্জিত হয়।
that the man of God may be perfect--completely fitted for every good work.
