1 দাউদ ইত্যবসরে আবার ইস্রায়েলের 30,000 দক্ষ যুবককে একত্রিত করলেন।

2 তিনি ও তাঁর সব লোকজন যিহূদার বালা থেকে ঈশ্বরের সেই নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি আনতে গেলেন, যেটি সেই নামে—সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর নামে পরিচিত, যিনি নিয়ম-সিন্দুকে দুটি করূবের মাঝখানে বিরাজমান।

3 তারা ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি নতুন একটি গাড়িতে তুলে দিলেন এবং সেটি পাহাড়ের উপর অবস্থিত গিবিয়ায় অবীনাদবের বাড়ি থেকে নিয়ে এলেন। অবীনাদবের দুই ছেলে উষ ও অহিয়ো সেই নতুন গাড়িটি চালাচ্ছিল

4 ও ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি সেটির উপর রাখা ছিল, এবং গিবিয়ায় বসবাসকারী অবীনাদবের ছেলে অহিয়ো সেটির আগে আগে হাঁটছিল।

5 দাউদ ও সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল সদাপ্রভুর সামনে গান গেয়ে ও বীণা, খঞ্জনি, তবলা, সুরবাহার ও করতাল বাজিয়ে আনন্দ প্রকাশ করছিলেন।

6 তারা যখন নাখোনের খামারে পৌঁছেছিলেন, উষ হাত বাড়িয়ে ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি ধরেছিল, কারণ বলদগুলি হোঁচট খেয়েছিল।

7 উষের এই ভক্তিহীন আচরণ দেখে সদাপ্রভু তার উপর ক্রোধে জ্বলে উঠেছিলেন; তাই ঈশ্বর তাকে যন্ত্রণা করলেন, ও সে সেখানে ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকের পাশেই পড়ে মারা গেল।
and to be incensed face: anger LORD in/on/with Uzzah and to smite him there [the] God upon [the] irreverence and to die there with ark [the] God
8 সদাপ্রভুর ক্রোধ উষের উপর ফেটে পড়তে দেখে দাউদ তখন ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন, এবং আজও পর্যন্ত সেই স্থানটিকে পেরস-উষ বলে ডাকা হয়।
and to be incensed to/for David upon which to break through LORD breach in/on/with Uzzah and to call: call by to/for place [the] he/she/it Perez-uzzah Perez-uzzah till [the] day: today [the] this
9 সেদিন দাউদ সদাপ্রভুকে ভয় পেয়ে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি তবে কীভাবে আমার কাছে আসবে?”

10 দাউদ-নগরে তিনি তাঁর সঙ্গে সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি নিয়ে যেতে চাননি। তার পরিবর্তে তিনি সেটি গাতীয় ওবেদ-ইদোমের বাড়িতে এনে রেখেছিলেন।
and not be willing David to/for to turn aside: remove to(wards) him [obj] ark LORD upon city David and to stretch him David house: home Obed-edom Obed-edom [the] Gittite
11 সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি গাতীয় ওবেদ-ইদোমের বাড়িতে তিন মাস ধরে রাখা ছিল, এবং সদাপ্রভু তাকে ও তার সম্পূর্ণ পরিবারকে আশীর্বাদ করলেন।

12 রাজা দাউদকে বলা হল, “ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকের খাতিরে সদাপ্রভু ওবেদ-ইদোম ও তার সবকিছুকে আশীর্বাদ করেছেন।” তাই ওবেদ-ইদোমের বাড়ি থেকে ঈশ্বরের নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি দাউদ-নগরে নিয়ে আসার জন্য দাউদ আনন্দ করতে করতে সেখানে গেলেন।

13 সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুক বহনকারী লোকেরা ছয়পা যেতে না যেতেই তিনি একটি বলদ ও একটি হৃষ্টপুষ্ট বাছুর বলি দিলেন।

14 মসিনার এফোদ গায়ে দিয়ে দাউদ সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তাঁর সব শক্তি নিয়ে নেচে যাচ্ছিলেন,

15 এবং এভাবেই তিনি ও সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল চিৎকার-চেঁচামেচি করে ও শিঙা বাজিয়ে সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি নিয়ে আসছিলেন।

16 সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি যখন দাউদ-নগরে প্রবেশ করছিল, শৌলের মেয়ে মীখল জানলা থেকে তা লক্ষ্য করলেন। যখন তিনি দেখেছিলেন যে রাজা দাউদ সদাপ্রভুর সামনে লাফালাফি ও নাচানাচি করছেন, তিনি তখন মনে মনে তাঁকে তুচ্ছজ্ঞান করলেন।

17 তারা সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম-সিন্দুকটি সেই তাঁবুর মধ্যে এনে রেখেছিল, যেটি দাউদ সেটি রাখার জন্যই খাটিয়ে রেখেছিলেন, এবং দাউদ সদাপ্রভুর সামনে হোমবলি ও মঙ্গলার্থক বলি উৎসর্গ করলেন।
and to come (in): bring [obj] ark LORD and to set [obj] him in/on/with place his in/on/with midst [the] tent which to stretch to/for him David and to ascend: offer up David burnt offering to/for face: before LORD and peace offering
18 হোমবলি ও মঙ্গলার্থক বলি উৎসর্গ করার পর তিনি সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর নামে প্রজাদের আশীর্বাদ করলেন।
and to end: finish David from to ascend: offer up [the] burnt offering and [the] peace offering and to bless [obj] [the] people in/on/with name LORD Hosts
19 পরে তিনি স্ত্রী-পুরুষ নির্বিশেষে, ইস্রায়েলী জনতার এক একজনকে একটি করে রুটি, খেজুরের পিঠে ও কিশমিশের পিঠে দিলেন। প্রজারা সবাই নিজেদের ঘরে ফিরে গেল।
and to divide to/for all [the] people to/for all crowd Israel to/for from man and till woman to/for man: anyone bun food: bread one and raisin bun one and raisin bun one and to go: went all [the] people man: anyone to/for house: home his
20 পরিবারের লোকজনকে আশীর্বাদ করার জন্য যখন দাউদ ঘরে ফিরে গেলেন, শৌলের মেয়ে মীখল তাঁর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে বেরিয়ে এলেন ও তাঁকে বললেন, “ইস্রায়েলের রাজা আজ এ কীভাবে নিজেকে সম্মানিত করলেন, অন্য যে কোনো নীচ লোকের মতো আপনিও কি না আপনার দাসদের ক্রীতদাসীদের সামনে অর্ধ-উলঙ্গ হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ালেন!”

21 দাউদ মীখলকে বললেন, “আমি সেই সদাপ্রভুর সামনেই তা করেছি, যিনি তোমার বাবা বা তাঁর পরিবারের অন্য কোনও লোককে না বেছে আমাকেই সদাপ্রভুর প্রজা ইস্রায়েলের উপর শাসনকর্তারূপে নিযুক্ত করলেন—আমি সদাপ্রভুর সামনেই আনন্দ প্রকাশ করব।
and to say David to(wards) Michal to/for face: before LORD which to choose in/on/with me from father your and from all house: household his to/for to command [obj] me leader upon people LORD upon Israel and to laugh to/for face: before LORD
22 আমি এর থেকেও আরও নীচ হব, ও আমি নিজের দৃষ্টিতে হীন হব। কিন্তু তুমি যেসব ক্রীতদাসীর কথা বললে, আমি তাদের কাছে সম্মানিতই থেকে যাব।”
and to lighten still from this and to be low in/on/with eye my and with [the] maidservant which to say with them to honor: honour
23 আর শৌলের মেয়ে মীখলের আমৃত্যু কোনও সন্তান হয়নি।
and to/for Michal daughter Saul not to be to/for her youth till day death her
