শমূয়েলের দ্বিতীয় বই 22
1 সদাপ্রভু যখন দাউদকে তাঁর সব শত্রুর তথা শৌলের হাত থেকে উদ্ধার করলেন, তখন সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তিনি এই গানের কথাগুলি গেয়ে উঠেছিলেন।
And David spoke unto the Lord the words of this song, and on the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
2 তিনি বললেন: “সদাপ্রভু আমার শৈল, আমার উচ্চদুর্গ ও আমার উদ্ধারকর্তা;
And he said, Lord, my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
3 আমার ঈশ্বরই আমার শৈল, যাঁতে আমি আশ্রয় নিই, আমার ঢাল ও আমার ত্রাণশৃঙ্গ। তিনিই আমার দুর্গ, আমার আশ্রয়স্থল ও আমার পরিত্রাতা। মারমুখী লোকদের হাত থেকে তুমিই আমাকে রক্ষা করে থাকো।
God, my rock, in whom I trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour! from violence dost thou save me!
4 “আমি সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকলাম, যিনি প্রশংসার যোগ্য, এবং শত্রুদের হাত থেকে উদ্ধার পেয়েছি।
Praised, I cried, be the Lord, and from my enemies was I saved.
5 মৃত্যুর বাঁধন আমাকে আবদ্ধ করেছিল; ধ্বংসের স্রোত আমাকে বিধ্বস্ত করেছিল।
For the waves of death encompassed me, the floods of destruction made me afraid;
The bonds of hell encircled me, the snares of death seized on me: (Sheol h7585)
7 “সংকটে আমি সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকলাম; আমার ঈশ্বরের কাছে ডাকলাম। তাঁর মন্দির থেকে তিনি আমার গলার স্বর শুনলেন; আমার কান্না তাঁর কানে পৌঁছাল।
[When] in my distress I called upon the Lord, and to my God I cried; and he heard from his temple my voice, and my complaint [entered] into his ears.
8 তখন পৃথিবী টলে উঠল, কেঁপে উঠল, আকাশমণ্ডলের ভিত্তি নড়ে উঠল; কেঁপে উঠল তাঁর ক্রোধের কারণে।
Then shook and trembled the earth; the foundations of the heavens were moved; and they shook, because he was wroth.
9 তাঁর নাক থেকে ধোঁয়া উঠল; মুখ থেকে গ্রাসকারী আগুন বেরিয়ে এল, জ্বলন্ত কয়লা প্রজ্বলিত হল।
Smoke went up in his anger, and consuming fire out of his mouth, coals flamed forth from him.
10 তিনি আকাশমণ্ডল ভেদ করলেন ও নেমে এলেন; তাঁর পায়ের তলায় অন্ধকার মেঘ ছিল।
And he bent the heavens, and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet.
11 করূবের পিঠে চড়ে তিনি উড়ে গেলেন; বাতাসের ডানায় তিনি উড়ে এলেন।
And he rode upon a cherub, and flew along, and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12 তিনি অন্ধকারকে তাঁর চারপাশের আচ্ছাদন করলেন, আকাশের অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন মেঘ চতুর্দিকে ঘিরে রাখল তাঁকে।
And he made darkness round about him into pavilions, heavy masses of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
13 তাঁর উপস্থিতির উজ্জ্বলতা থেকে বজ্রপাতে আগুন ফেটে পড়েছিল।
From the brightness before him flamed forth coals of fire.
14 আকাশ থেকে সদাপ্রভু বজ্রনাদ করলেন; শিলাবৃষ্টি ও বজ্রবিদ্যুতের মাঝে প্রতিধ্বনিত হল পরাৎপরের কণ্ঠস্বর।
The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered forth his voice.
15 তিনি তাঁর তির ছুঁড়লেন ও শত্রুদের ছত্রভঙ্গ করে দিলেন, বজ্রবিদ্যুতের সাথে তাদের পর্যুদস্ত করলেন।
And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16 সদাপ্রভুর আদেশে তাঁর নাকের নিঃশ্বাসের বিস্ফোরণে, সাগরের তলদেশ উন্মুক্ত হল, আর পৃথিবীর ভিত্তিমূল অনাবৃত হল।
And then were seen the channels of the sea, there were laid open the foundations of the world; at the rebuke of the Lord, through the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 “তিনি আকাশ থেকে হাত বাড়ালেন ও আমাকে ধারণ করলেন; গভীর জলরাশি থেকে আমাকে টেনে তুললেন।
He stretched out from above [his hand], he took me; he drew me out from the mighty waters.
18 আমার শক্তিশালী শত্রুর কবল থেকে তিনি আমাকে রক্ষা করলেন, যারা আমাকে ঘৃণা করত তাদের হাত থেকে, আর তারা আমার জন্য খুবই শক্তিশালী ছিল।
He delivered me from my enemy, the strong, from those that hated me, when they were too mighty for me.
19 আমার বিপদের দিনে তারা আমার মোকাবিলা করেছিল, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আমার সহায় ছিলেন।
They overcame me on the day of my calamity; but the Lord became my stay;
20 তিনি আমায় মুক্ত করে এক প্রশস্ত স্থানে আনলেন, তিনি আমায় উদ্ধার করলেন, কারণ তিনি আমাতে সন্তুষ্ট ছিলেন।
And he brought me forth into a large space: he delivered me, because he had delight in me.
21 “আমার ধার্মিকতা অনুযায়ী সদাপ্রভু আমায় প্রতিফল দিলেন, আমার হাতের পরিচ্ছন্নতা অনুযায়ী আমাকে পুরস্কৃত করলেন।
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the purity of my hands did he recompense me.
22 কারণ আমি সদাপ্রভুর নির্দেশিত পথে চলেছি, আমার ঈশ্বরকে পরিত্যাগ করার অপরাধী আমি নই।
For I had kept the ways of the Lord, and had not wickedly departed from my God.
23 তাঁর সব বিধান আমার সামনে রয়েছে, তাঁর আদেশ থেকে আমি কখনও দূরে সরে যাইনি।
For all his ordinances were before me, and from none of his statutes did I depart.
24 তাঁর সামনে আমি নিজেকে নির্দোষ রেখেছি আর পাপ থেকে নিজেকে সরিয়ে রেখেছি।
I was also upright toward him, and I guarded myself against my iniquity.
25 যা ন্যায়পরায়ণ তা পালন করার জন্য সদাপ্রভু আমায় পুরস্কার দিয়েছেন, তাঁর দৃষ্টিতে আমার বিশুদ্ধতা দেখে।
Therefore did the Lord recompense me according to my righteousness, according to my purity before his eyes.
26 “যারা বিশ্বস্ত, তাদের প্রতি তুমি বিশ্বস্ত, যারা নির্দোষ, তাদের প্রতি তুমি সিদ্ধ,
With the kind thou wilt show thyself kind; with the upright mighty man thou wilt show thyself upright.
27 যারা শুদ্ধ, তাদের প্রতি তুমি শুদ্ধ, কিন্তু যারা কুটিল, তাদের প্রতি তুমি চতুর আচরণ করো।
With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt wage a contest.
28 তুমি নম্রকে রক্ষা করো, কিন্তু অহংকারীদের নত করার জন্য তোমার দৃষ্টি তাদের উপর আছে।
And the afflicted people thou wilt save; but thy eyes are upon the haughty, [that] thou mayest bring [them] down.
29 তুমি, সদাপ্রভু, আমার প্রদীপ; সদাপ্রভু আমার আঁধার আলোতে পরিণত করলেন।
For thou art my lamp, O Lord! and the Lord will enlighten my darkness.
30 তোমার সাহায্যে আমি বিপক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে অগ্রসর হতে পারি; আমার ঈশ্বর সহায় হলে আমি প্রাচীর অতিক্রম করতে পারি।
For [aided] by thee I run through a troop: [helped] by my God I leap over a wall.
31 “ঈশ্বরের সমস্ত পথ সিদ্ধ: সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য নিখুঁত; যারা তাঁতে শরণ নেয় তিনি তাদের ঢাল।
As for God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried; he is a shield to all that trust in him.
32 কারণ সদাপ্রভু ছাড়া আর ঈশ্বর কে আছে? আমাদের ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর শৈল কে আছে?
For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?
33 ঈশ্বর আমায় শক্তি জোগান আর আমার পথ সুরক্ষিত রাখেন।
God is my strength and power; and he rendereth free from obstruction my way.
34 তিনি আমার পা হরিণের পায়ের মতো করেন; উঁচু স্থানে দাঁড়াতে আমাকে সক্ষম করেন।
He maketh my feet like those of the hinds, and upon my high places he causeth me to stand.
35 তিনি আমার হাত যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রশিক্ষিত করেন; আমার বাহু পিতলের ধনুক বাঁকাতে পারে।
He teaches my hands for the war, so that a brazen bow is bent by my arms.
36 রক্ষাকারী সাহায্য দিয়ে আমার ঢাল গড়েছ; তোমার দেওয়া সাহায্য আমায় মহান করেছে।
And thou gavest me the shield of thy salvation; and thy assistance hath made me great.
37 তুমি আমার চলার পথ প্রশস্ত করেছ, যেন আমার পা পিছলে না যায়।
Thou enlargest my steps under me, so that my joints do not slip.
38 “আমি শত্রুদের পিছনে ধাওয়া করে তাদের চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ করেছি; তারা ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি পিছু হটিনি।
I pursue my enemies and destroy them; and I return not again until I have made an end of them.
39 আমি তাদের পুরোপুরি চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ করেছি, যেন তারা আর উঠে দাঁড়াতে না পারে; তারা আমার পায়ের তলায় পতিত হয়েছে।
And I make an end of them, and I crush them, that they cannot rise; and they fall under my feet.
40 যুদ্ধের জন্য তুমি আমাকে শক্তি দিয়েছ; আমার সামনে আমার বিপক্ষদের তুমি নত করেছ।
For thou hast girded me with strength for the war; thou subduest my opponents under me.
41 আমার শত্রুদের তুমি পিছু ফিরে পালাতে বাধ্য করেছ, আর আমি আমার প্রতিপক্ষদের ধ্বংস করেছি।
And my enemies thou causest to turn their back to me; those that hate me, —that I may destroy them.
42 তারা সাহায্যের জন্য আর্তনাদ করেছে, কিন্তু কেউ তাদের রক্ষা করেনি, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ডেকেছে কিন্তু তিনি তাদের ডাকে সাড়া দেননি।
They look about, but there is none to help; unto the Lord—but he answereth them not.
43 পৃথিবীর ধূলিকণার মতো মিহি করে আমি তাদের গুঁড়ো করেছি; পথের কাদা-মাটির মতো আমি তাদের পিষ্ট করে মাড়িয়েছি।
And I beat them small as the dust of the earth; as the mire of the street, I stamp them, I tread them down.
44 “তুমি আমাকে লোকেদের আক্রমণ থেকে বাঁচিয়েছ; তুমি আমাকে জাতিদের কর্তারূপে তুমি আমায় রক্ষা করেছ। আমার অপরিচিত লোকেরাও এখন আমার সেবা করে,
Thou hast also delivered me from the contests of my people: thou preservest me to be the head of nations, a people which I know not shall serve me.
45 অইহুদিরা আমার সামনে মাথা নত হয়ে থাকে; যে মুহূর্তে তারা আমার আদেশ শোনে, তা পালন করে।
The children of the stranger shall utter flattery unto me; as soon as their ear heareth they shall be obedient unto me.
46 তারা সবাই সাহস হারায়; কাঁপতে কাঁপতে তারা তাদের দুর্গ থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে।
The children of the stranger shall fade away, and come forth tottering out of their close places.
47 “সদাপ্রভু জীবিত! আমার শৈলের প্রশংসা হোক! আমার ঈশ্বর, আমার শৈল, আমার পরিত্রাতার গৌরব হোক!
The Lord liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God, the Rock of my salvation;
48 তিনিই সেই ঈশ্বর যিনি আমার হয়ে প্রতিশোধ নেন, যিনি জাতিদের আমার অধীনস্থ করেন,
The God, that granteth me vengeance, and bringeth down nations under me;
49 যিনি শত্রুদের কবল থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করেন। আমার প্রতিপক্ষদের থেকে তুমি আমাকে উন্নত করেছ; মারমুখী লোকের কবল থেকে তুমি আমাকে রক্ষা করেছ।
And that bringeth me forth from my enemies: also above my opponents thou liftest me up, from the man of violence thou deliverest me.
50 তাই, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি জাতিদের মাঝে তোমার প্রশংসা করব; আমি তোমার নামের প্রশংসাগান করব।
Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the nations, and unto thy name will I sing praises;
51 “তিনি তাঁর রাজাকে মহান বিজয় প্রদান করেন; তাঁর অভিষিক্ত দাউদ ও তাঁর বংশধরদের প্রতি তিনি চিরকাল তাঁর অবিচল দয়া প্রদর্শন করেন।”
[To] the tower of salvation of his king, and who showeth kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed forever.
