২য় করিন্থীয় 8
1 এখন ভাইবোনেরা, ম্যাসিডোনিয়ার মণ্ডলীগুলিকে ঈশ্বর যে অনুগ্রহ প্রদান করেছেন, আমরা চাই, তোমরা সে সম্পর্কে অবহিত হও।
Now, brothers, I wish to tell you about the grace of God which has been manifest in the churches of Macedonia.
2 কষ্টের চরম পরীক্ষার মধ্যেও তাদের আনন্দের উচ্ছ্বাস ও নিদারুণ দারিদ্র্য, প্রচুর দানশীলতায় উপচে পড়েছে।
For although in heavy trial of affliction, their overbrimming happiness, even in spite of their deep poverty, abounded to the opulence of their unselfishness.
3 কারণ আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি, তারা তাদের সাধ্যমতো, এমনকি, সাধ্যেরও অতিরিক্ত পরিমাণে, দান করেছে। তারা নিজেদের ইচ্ছায়
For I can testify that according to their ability, and even beyond their ability, of their own free will, too, they have given help.
4 প্রবল আগ্রহের সঙ্গে, পবিত্রগণের এই সেবায় অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ লাভের জন্য আমাদের মিনতি জানিয়েছে।
With earnest entreaty they craved of me the privilege of a share in ministering to the saints in Jerusalem.
5 তারা আমাদের প্রত্যাশাকে ছাড়িয়ে কাজ করল। ঈশ্বরের ইচ্ছা অনুসারে তারা প্রথমে প্রভুর, পরে আমাদেরও কাছে নিজেদের প্রদান করল।
And this not as I had expected, but in accordance with the will of God, they first gave themselves to God and to me.
6 তাই আমরা তীতকে অনুরোধ করলাম, তোমাদের মধ্যে সেই অনুগ্রহের কাজ শেষ করার জন্য, যা তিনি আগেই শুরু করেছিলেন।
With the result that I have been begging Titus that, as he had been the one to begin the work with you, so he should complete among you this grace also.
7 কিন্তু যেমন তোমরা সব বিষয়ে উৎকর্ষ লাভ করছ—বিশ্বাসে, বক্তৃতায়, জ্ঞানে, সম্পূর্ণ আন্তরিকতায় ও ভালোবাসায়, যা তোমাদের মধ্যে আমরা উদ্দীপিত করেছি—দেখো, দান দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে এই অনুগ্রহেও তোমরা যেন উৎকর্ষ লাভ করো।
Now then, as you excel in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and all zeal and in your love to me, see to it that you excel in this grace also.
8 আমি তোমাদের আদেশ করছি না, কিন্তু অপর মানুষদের আন্তরিকতার সঙ্গে তুলনা করে আমি তোমাদের ভালোবাসার সততাকে পরীক্ষা করতে চাই।
I do not say this by way of command, but by the zeal of others I am trying to prove the reality of your love.
9 কারণ তোমরা আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের অনুগ্রহের কথা জানো যে, তিনি যদিও ধনী ছিলেন, তবুও তোমাদের কারণে তিনি দরিদ্র হলেন, যেন তোমরা তাঁর দারিদ্র্যের মাধ্যমে ধনী হতে পারো।
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, how though he was rich, for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
10 আর এ বিষয়ে তোমাদের পক্ষে যা সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট, সে সম্পর্কে আমার পরামর্শ এই: গত বছর, তোমরা যে কেবলমাত্র প্রথমে দান করেছিলে, তা নয়, কিন্তু তা করার আগ্রহও প্রকাশ করেছিলে।
And I will give you my opinion in this matter; for this offering is fitting in your case, considering that you made a beginning before others, not only in the willingness to do something but also in actually doing something a year ago.
11 এখন সেই কাজ সম্পূর্ণ করো, যেন তা করার জন্য তোমাদের আগ্রহ তোমাদের সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী তা সম্পন্ন করার সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ হয়।
So now complete the doing of it also, in order that just as there was the readiness to will, so there may be the accomplishment according to your means.
12 কারণ আগ্রহ যদি থাকে, তবে যার যা আছে, সেই অনুযায়ী দান গ্রহণযোগ্য হয়, তার যা নেই, সেই অনুযায়ী নয়।
For if there be first willing mind, the gift is accepted according to what a man has, and not according to what he has not.
13 আমাদের ইচ্ছা এই নয় যে অন্যেরা স্বস্তি বোধ করে এবং তোমরা প্রবল চাপ অনুভব করো, কিন্তু যেন সাম্যভাব বজায় থাকে।
Nor are other people to be relieved, and you to be distressed;
14 বর্তমানে তোমাদের প্রাচুর্যে তাদের যা প্রয়োজন, তা পূরণ করবে, যেন তার পরিবর্তে, তাদের প্রাচুর্য সময়মতো তোমাদের প্রয়োজন পূরণ করবে। তখনই সমতা বজায় থাকবে,
but burdens are to be equalized. Now your abundance at this present time present time is a supply for their want, in supply for your want; and so burdens be equalized,
15 যেমন লেখা আছে, “যে বেশি পরিমাণে কুড়িয়েছিল তার কাছে খুব বেশি ছিল না, এবং যে কম পরিমাণে কুড়িয়েছিল তার কাছেও খুব কম ছিল না।”
even as it is written, He who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little did not lack.
16 আমি ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ দিই যে, তিনি তীতের অন্তরে সেই একই প্রকার প্রবল আগ্রহ দিয়েছেন, যেমন তোমাদের প্রতি আমার আছে।
But thanks be to God who has inspired in the heart of Titus the same zeal on your behalf that I have.
17 কারণ তীত আমাদের আবেদনকে কেবলমাত্র স্বাগতই জানাননি, কিন্তু ভীষণ উদ্যোগী হয়ে স্বেচ্ছায় তিনি তোমাদের কাছে যাচ্ছেন।
For he not only consented to my request, but being thoroughly in earnest, comes to you of his own accord.
18 আর আমরা তাঁর সঙ্গে সেই ভাইকে পাঠাচ্ছি, যিনি সুসমাচারের প্রতি তাঁর সেবাকাজের জন্য মণ্ডলীগুলির দ্বারা প্রশংসিত হয়েছেন।
And I am sending with him that brother whose fame in the service of the gospel is spread through all the churches.
19 শুধু তাই নয়, আমরা যখন সেই দান বহন করে নিয়ে যাই, আমাদের সঙ্গী হওয়ার জন্য তিনিও মণ্ডলীগুলির দ্বারা মনোনীত হয়েছেন। প্রভুর গৌরবের জন্য ও সহায়তা প্রদানে আমাদের ঐকান্তিক আগ্রহ প্রকাশের জন্য আমরা এই পরিচর্যা সম্পন্ন করছি।
More than that, he is the one chosen by the churches to accompany me on my journey, in administering this gift of yours for the Lord’s glory. And this has my full consent,
20 সুপ্রচুর এই দান আমরা যেভাবে তদারকি করছি, আমরা চাই না যে কেউ তার সমালোচনা করে।
because I am on my guard in this, that no one should blame me, in respect to this bounty which I am administering.
21 কারণ কেবলমাত্র প্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে নয়, কিন্তু সব মানুষের দৃষ্টিতেও যা ন্যায়সংগত, আমরা তাই করার জন্য প্রাণপণ করছি।
For I aim at being above reproach, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
22 সেই সঙ্গে তাঁদের সঙ্গী করে আমাদের আর একজন ভাইকে পাঠাচ্ছি, যিনি বিভিন্নভাবে বহুবার আমাদের কাছে তাঁর উদ্যমের পরিচয় দিয়েছেন, এমনকি, তোমাদের প্রতি তাঁর গভীর আস্থার জন্য তিনি এখন আরও অনেক বেশি উদ্যমী হয়েছেন।
With them I am sending our brother of whose zeal I have often had proof in many ways, and who is now zealous because of his great confidence in you.
23 তীতের বিষয়ে বলতে হলে, তিনি আমার অংশীদার ও তোমাদের মধ্যে আমার সহকর্মী। আর আমাদের ভাইদের সম্পর্কে বলি, তাঁরা মণ্ডলীগুলির দ্বারা প্রেরিত ও খ্রীষ্টের গৌরবস্বরূপ।
As for Titus, remember that he is a partner of mine, and is also my associate in labors for you. As for the other brothers, remember that they are delegates from the churches, men in whom Christ is glorified.
24 অতএব, তাঁদের কাছে তোমাদের ভালোবাসা ও তোমাদের সম্পর্কে আমাদের গর্ববোধের প্রমাণ প্রদর্শন করো, যেন সব মণ্ডলী তা দেখতে পায়।
So show to the churches an evidence of your love, and a justification to these brothers of my boasting about you.
