২য় করিন্থীয় 6
1 ঈশ্বরের সহকর্মীরূপে আমরা তোমাদের নিবেদন করছি, তোমরা ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহ বৃথা গ্রহণ কোরো না।
We then, [as] workers together [with him], beseech [you] also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 কারণ তিনি বলেন, “আমার অনুগ্রহ প্রদর্শনকালে, আমি তোমার কথা শুনেছি, আর পরিত্রাণের দিনে আমি তোমাকে সাহায্য প্রদান করেছি।” আমি তোমাদের বলি, এখনই ঈশ্বরের সেই অনুগ্রহের সময়, আজই সেই পরিত্রাণের দিন।
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)
3 আমরা কারও পথে কোনো বাধার সৃষ্টি করি না, যেন আমাদের পরিচর্যা কলঙ্কিত না হয়।
Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 বরং, আমরা যেহেতু ঈশ্বরের পরিচারক, সবদিক দিয়ে নিজেদের যোগ্যপাত্ররূপে দেখাতে চাই: মহা ধৈর্যে, কষ্ট-সংকটে, কষ্টভোগ ও দুর্দশায়;
But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 প্রহারে, কারাবাসে ও গণবিক্ষোভে, কঠোর পরিশ্রমে, নিদ্রাহীন রাত্রিযাপনে ও অনাহারে;
In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 শুদ্ধতায়, জ্ঞানে, সহিষ্ণুতায় ও সদয়ভাবে, পবিত্র আত্মায় ও অকপট ভালোবাসায়;
By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 সত্যভাষণে ও ঐশ্বরিক পরাক্রমে, ডান ও বাঁ হাতে ধার্মিকতার অস্ত্রশস্ত্র নিয়ে;
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 গৌরব ও অসম্মানের মধ্যে, অখ্যাতি ও সুখ্যাতিক্রমে; আমরা সত্যনিষ্ঠ, অথচ বিবেচিত হই প্রতারকরূপে;
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and [yet] true;
9 পরিচিত, অথচ যেন অপরিচিতের মতো; মরণাপন্ন, তবুও বেঁচে আছি; প্রহারিত, তবুও নিহত নই;
As unknown, and [yet] well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 দুঃখার্ত, তবু যেন সবসময়ই আনন্দ করছি; দরিদ্র, তবুও অনেককে সমৃদ্ধ করছি; আমাদের কিছুই নেই, তবুও সবকিছুর অধিকারী।
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and [yet] possessing all things.
11 করিন্থের মানুষেরা, আমরা অবাধে তোমাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলছি এবং তোমাদের কাছে আমাদের হৃদয় উন্মুক্ত করেছি।
O [ye] Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
12 আমরা আমাদের ভালোবাসা তোমাদের দিতে অস্বীকার করিনি, কিন্তু তোমরা তোমাদের ভালোবাসা আমাদের দিতে অস্বীকার করছ।
Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.
13 শোভনীয় বিনিময়রূপে—আমি আমার সন্তানরূপে তোমাদের বলছি—তোমরাও তোমাদের হৃদয় উন্মুক্ত করো।
Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto [my] children, ) be ye also enlarged.
14 তোমরা অবিশ্বাসীদের সঙ্গে অসম জোয়ালে আবদ্ধ হোয়ো না। কারণ ধার্মিকতা ও দুষ্টতার মধ্যে কী সাদৃশ্য আছে? অথবা, অন্ধকারের সঙ্গে আলোর কী সহভাগিতা থাকতে পারে?
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 খ্রীষ্ট ও বলিয়ালের মধ্যেই বা কী ঐক্য? কোনো বিশ্বাসীর সঙ্গে অবিশ্বাসীরই বা কী মিল?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 ঈশ্বরের মন্দির ও প্রতিমার মধ্যেই বা কী সহযোগিতা থাকতে পারে? কারণ আমরাই তো জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের মন্দির! ঈশ্বর যেমন বলেছেন, “আমি তাদের মধ্যে বসতি করব ও তাদের মধ্যে গমনাগমন করব, আর আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব ও তারা আমার প্রজা হবে।”
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 অতএব, “তোমরা তাদের মধ্য থেকে বেরিয়ে এসো ও পৃথক হও, একথা প্রভু বলেন। কোনো অশুচি বস্তু স্পর্শ কোরো না, তাহলে আমি তোমাদের গ্রহণ করব।”
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
18 “আমি তোমাদের পিতা হব, আর তোমরা হবে আমার পুত্রকন্যা, সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু একথা বলেন।”
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
