১ম তীমথি 6
1 যারা ক্রীতদাসত্বের জোয়ালে আবদ্ধ, তারা তাদের প্রভুকে সম্পূর্ণ শ্রদ্ধার যোগ্য বলে মনে করুক, যেন ঈশ্বরের নাম এবং আমাদের শিক্ষার নিন্দা না হয়।
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God, and his teaching, be not reviled.
2 যাদের মনিবরা বিশ্বাসী, প্রভুতে ভাই হওয়ার কারণে সেই মনিবদের প্রতি তাদের যেন শ্রদ্ধার অভাব না দেখা যায়। বরং, আরও ভালোভাবে তারা তাঁদের সেবা করবে, কারণ যাঁরা তাদের সেবার দ্বারা উপকৃত হচ্ছে, তাঁরাও বিশ্বাসী এবং তাদের প্রিয়জন। এই সমস্ত বিষয় তুমি তাদের শিক্ষা দাও এবং অনুনয় করো।
And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren: but rather let them serve them, because they who partake of the benefit of their service, are believers and beloved brethren. These things enforce in your teaching and exhortation.
3 কেউ যদি ভ্রান্ত ধর্মশিক্ষা দেয় এবং আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের অভ্রান্ত নির্দেশ ও ঐশ্বরিক শিক্ষার সঙ্গে একমত না হয়,
If any one teaches other things, and does not assent to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the teaching which is according to godliness,
4 তাহলে সে গর্বে অন্ধ ও নির্বোধ। ঝগড়া ও তর্কবিতর্কের প্রতিই তার অকারণ আগ্রহ, ফলে সৃষ্টি হয় ঈর্ষা, বিবাদ, বিদ্বেষপূর্ণ কথাবার্তা, হীন সন্দেহ;
he is mad with conceit, knowing nothing, but has a morbid fondness for questions and contentions about words, out of which come envy, strife, railing, evil suspicions,
5 এবং কলুষিতমনা লোকদের মধ্যে সৃষ্টি হয় অবিরত দ্বন্দ্ব। তারা সত্যভ্রষ্ট হয়েছে এবং ভক্তিকে তারা অর্থলাভের উপায় বলে মনে করে।
and wranglings, on the part of men who are corrupt in mind, and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a source of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
6 প্রকৃতপক্ষে ভক্তি মহালাভজনক, যদি তার সঙ্গে থাকে পরিতৃপ্তি;
But godliness, with a contented disposition, is great gain.
7 কারণ এ জগতে আমরা কিছুই আনিনি এবং এখান থেকে কিছু নিয়েও যেতে পারি না।
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out.
8 কিন্তু যদি আমাদের অন্নবস্ত্রের সংস্থান থাকে, তাহলে তাতেই আমরা সন্তুষ্ট থাকব।
And having food and raiment, with these let us be content.
9 যারা ধনী হতে চায়, তারা প্রলোভনে পড়ে। তারা বহু অবোধ ও ক্ষতিকর বাসনার ফাঁদে পড়ে, যা মানুষকে বিনাশ ও ধ্বংসের গর্তে ছুঁড়ে দেয়।
But those who will be rich fail into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful desires, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 কারণ অর্থের প্রতি আসক্তি সকল প্রকার অনর্থের মূল। অর্থলোভী কিছু মানুষ বিশ্বাস থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়েছে ও গভীর দুঃখে নিজেদের বিদ্ধ করেছে।
For the love of money is the root of all evil; through the desire of which, some have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 তুমি কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের লোক, এসব বিষয় থেকে পালিয়ে যাও এবং ধার্মিকতা, ভক্তি, বিশ্বাস, ভালোবাসা, ধৈর্য এবং মৃদুতার অনুসরণ করো।
But do you, O man of God, shun these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, patience, meekness.
12 তুমি বিশ্বাসের উত্তম যুদ্ধে সংগ্রাম করো। অনন্ত জীবনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত থাকো, কারণ এরই জন্য তোমাকে আহ্বান করা হয়েছে এবং বহু সাক্ষীর সামনে তোমার উত্তম প্রতিজ্ঞা স্বীকার করেছ। (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you have been called, and for which you confessed the good confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 যিনি সকলকে জীবন দান করেন, সেই ঈশ্বরের দৃষ্টিতে ও খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর দৃষ্টিতে, যিনি পন্তীয় পীলাতের দরবারে সাক্ষ্য দেওয়ার সময় উত্তম স্বীকারোক্তি করেছিলেন, আমি তোমাকে আদেশ দিচ্ছি,
I charge you, in the sight of God, who makes all things alive, and before Christ Jesus, who, before Pontius Pilate, confessed a good confession,
14 আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের আগমনের পূর্ব পর্যন্ত এই আজ্ঞা নিষ্কলঙ্ক ও অনিন্দনীয়রূপে পালন করো,
that you keep this commandment, so that you may be spotless and blameless till the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 যা ঈশ্বর তাঁর উপযুক্ত সময়ে প্রদর্শন করবেন—যিনি পরমধন্য, একমাত্র সম্রাট, রাজাদের রাজা ও প্রভুদের প্রভু,
which, in his own times, he will show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 একমাত্র অমর, অগম্য জ্যোতির মাঝে যাঁর অবস্থান, যাঁকে কেউ কখনও দেখেনি এবং দেখতেও পারে না—তাঁরই প্রতি হোক সমাদর এবং চিরস্থায়ী পরাক্রম। আমেন। (aiōnios g166)
who alone has immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, whom no man has seen, nor can see, to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 এই বর্তমান জগতে যারা ধনবান, তাদের আদেশ দাও, তারা যেন উদ্ধত না হয়, তাদের অনিশ্চিত সম্পদের উপরে তারা যেন আশাভরসা না করে, কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের উপরে প্রত্যাশা রাখে, যিনি আমাদের উপভোগের জন্য সবকিছুই সম্পূর্ণরূপে জুগিয়ে দেন। (aiōn g165)
Charge those who are rich in this age, that they be not proud, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us all things richly for our enjoyment, (aiōn g165)

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, liberal,
19 এভাবে তারা নিজেদের জন্য ধন সঞ্চয় করে তাদের ভবিষ্যতে দৃঢ় ভিত্তিমূল স্থাপন করবে এবং যা প্রকৃতই জীবন, সেই জীবন ধরে রাখতে পারবে।
treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
20 তিমথি, তোমার তত্ত্বাবধানে যা দেওয়া হয়েছে, তা সযত্নে রক্ষা করো। অসার বাক্যালাপ এবং বিরুদ্ধ মতবাদ থেকে দূরে থেকো, যা ভ্রান্তিরূপে “জ্ঞান” বলে অভিহিত।
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to your charge, avoiding those profane and empty babblings, and disputations about knowledge falsely so called;
21 কিছু মানুষ তা স্বীকার করেছে, এর ফলে বিশ্বাস থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়েছে। অনুগ্রহ তোমাদের সহবর্তী হোক।
by making a profession of this knowledge, some have erred as it respects the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
