1 এই হল সেই ইস্রায়েলীদের তালিকা—যারা বিভিন্ন বংশের কর্তাব্যক্তি, সহস্র-সেনাপতি ও শত-সেনাপতি, ও তাদের কর্মকর্তা হয়ে সারা বছর ধরে মাসের পর মাস সেনাবিভাগ-সংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে রাজার সেবা করে গেলেন। প্রত্যেক বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক থাকত।
Now the children of Israel after their number, [to wit], the chief fathers, and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course [were] twenty and four thousand.
2 প্রথম মাসের জন্য প্রথম বিভাগের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন সব্দীয়েলের ছেলে যাশবিয়াম। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
Over the first course for the first month [was] Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
3 তিনি পেরসের এক বংশধর ছিলেন এবং প্রথম মাসের জন্য সব সামরিক কর্মকর্তার প্রধান হলেন।
Of the children of Perez, [was] the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.
4 দ্বিতীয় মাসের জন্য সেই বিভাগের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন অহোহীয় দোদয়; তাঁর বিভাগের নেতা ছিলেন মিক্লোৎ। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
And over the course of the second month [was] Dodai an Ahohite, and of his course [was] Mikloth also the ruler: in his course likewise [were] twenty and four thousand.
5 তৃতীয় মাসের জন্য সৈন্যদলের তৃতীয় সেনাপতি হলেন যাজক যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায়। তিনিই প্রধান ছিলেন ও তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The third captain of the host for the third month [was] Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
6 তিনি সেই বনায়, যিনি সেই ত্রিশজনের মধ্যে একজন বলবান যোদ্ধা ছিলেন এবং সেই ত্রিশজনের নেতাও হলেন। তাঁর ছেলে অম্মীষাবাদ তাঁর বিভাগের নেতা ছিলেন।
This [is that] Benaiah, [who was] mighty [among] the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course [was] Ammizabad his son.
7 চতুর্থ মাসের জন্য চতুর্থ সেনাপতি হলেন যোয়াবের ভাই অসাহেল; তাঁর ছেলে সবদিয় তাঁর উত্তরাধিকারী হলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The fourth [captain] for the fourth month [was] Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
8 পঞ্চম মাসের জন্য পঞ্চম সেনাপতি হলেন যিষ্রাহীয় শমহূৎ। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The fifth captain for the fifth month [was] Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
9 ষষ্ঠ মাসের জন্য ষষ্ঠ (সেনাপতি) হলেন তকোয়ীয় ইক্কেশের ছেলে ঈরা। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The sixth [captain] for the sixth month [was] Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
10 সপ্তম মাসের জন্য সপ্তম সেনাপতি হলেন পলোনীয় হেলস, যিনি যাতে একজন ইফ্রয়িমীয় ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The seventh [captain] for the seventh month [was] Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
11 অষ্টম মাসের জন্য অষ্টম সেনাপতি হলেন হূশাতীয় সিব্বখয়, যিনি যাতে একজন সেরহীয় ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The eighth [captain] for the eighth month [was] Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
12 নবম মাসের জন্য নবম সেনাপতি হলেন অনাথোতীয় অবীয়েষর, যিনি যাতে একজন বিন্যামীনীয় ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The ninth [captain] for the ninth month [was] Abiezer the Anetothite, of the Benjaminites: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
13 দশম মাসের জন্য দশম সেনাপতি হলেন নটোফাতীয় মহরয়, যিনি যাতে একজন সেরহীয় ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The tenth [captain] for the tenth month [was] Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
14 একাদশতম মাসের জন্য একাদশতম সেনাপতি হলেন পিরিয়াথোনীয় বনায়, যিনি যাতে একজন ইফ্রয়িমীয় ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The eleventh [captain] for the eleventh month [was] Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
15 দ্বাদশতম মাসের জন্য দ্বাদশতম সেনাপতি হলেন নটোফাতীয় হিলদয়, যিনি অৎনীয়েলের বংশোদ্ভুক্ত ছিলেন। তাঁর বিভাগে 24,000 জন লোক ছিল।
The twelfth [captain] for the twelfth month [was] Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course [were] twenty and four thousand.
16 ইস্রায়েলের গোষ্ঠীসম্প্রদায়গুলির নেতারা হলেন: রূবেণীয়দের উপরে: সিখ্রির ছেলে ইলীয়েষর; শিমিয়োনীয়দের উপরে: মাখার ছেলে শফটিয়;
Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: the ruler of the Reubenites [was] Eliezer the son of Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah:
17 লেবির গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: কমূয়েলের ছেলে হশবিয়; হারোণের গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: সাদোক;
Of the Levites, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of the Aaronites, Zadok:
18 যিহূদা গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: দাউদের এক ভাই ইলীহূ; ইষাখর গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: মীখায়েলের ছেলে অম্রি;
Of Judah, Elihu, [one] of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:
19 সবূলূন গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: ওবদিয়ের ছেলে যিশ্মায়য়; নপ্তালি গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: অস্রীয়েলের ছেলে যিরেমোৎ;
Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel:
20 ইফ্রয়িমীয়দের উপরে: অসসিয়ের ছেলে হোশেয়; মনঃশির অর্ধেক গোষ্ঠীর উপরে: পদায়ের ছেলে যোয়েল;
Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:
21 গিলিয়দে বসবাসকারী মনঃশির অর্ধেক গোষ্ঠীর উপর: সখরিয়ের ছেলে যিদ্দো; বিন্যামীন গোষ্ঠীর উপর: অবনেরের ছেলে যাসীয়েল;
Of the half [tribe] of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:
22 দান গোষ্ঠীর উপর: যিরোহমের ছেলে অসরেল। এরাই ইস্রায়েলের বিভিন্ন গোষ্ঠীসম্প্রদায়ের নেতা।
Of Dan, Azareel the son of Jeroham. These [were] the princes of the tribes of Israel.
23 দাউদ, কুড়ি বছর বা তার কমবয়সি কোনও লোকের সংখ্যা গণনা করেননি, কারণ সদাপ্রভু ইস্রায়েলকে আকাশের তারার মতো বহুসংখ্যক করে দেবেন বলে প্রতিজ্ঞা করলেন।
But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.
24 সরূয়ার ছেলে যোয়াব জনগণনা করতে শুরু করলেন কিন্তু তা শেষ করেননি। এই জনগণনার কারণে ইস্রায়েলের উপর ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধ নেমে এসেছিল, এবং সেই সংখ্যাটি রাজা দাউদের ইতিহাস-গ্রন্থে নথিভুক্ত হয়নি।
Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
25 রাজকীয় ভাঁড়ারঘরগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল অদীয়েলের ছেলে অসমাবৎকে। প্রত্যন্ত জেলা, নগর, গ্রাম ও নজর-মিনারগুলিতে অবস্থিত ভাঁড়ারঘরগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল উষিয়ের ছেলে যোনাথনকে।
And over the king's treasures [was] Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the store-houses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, [was] Jehonathan the son of Uzziah:
26 দেশে যারা কৃষিকর্ম করত, তাদের দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল কলূবের ছেলে ইষ্রিকে।
And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground [was] Ezri the son of Chelub:
27 দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল রামাথীয় শিমিয়িকে। দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতে উৎপন্ন দ্রাক্ষারসের ভাণ্ডারগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল শিফমীয় সব্দিকে।
And over the vineyards [was] Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars [was] Zabdi the Shiphmite:
28 পশ্চিমদিকের পর্বতমালার পাদদেশে অবস্থিত পাহাড়ি এলাকার জলপাই ও দেবদারু-ডুমুর গাছগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল গদেরীয় বায়াল-হাননকে। জলপাই তেল জোগানোর দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল যোয়াশকে।
And over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that [were] in the low plains [was] Baal-hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil [was] Joash:
29 শারোণে চরে বেড়ানো গরু-ছাগলের পালগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল শারোণীয় সিট্রয়কে। উপত্যকাগুলিতে গরু-ছাগলের যেসব পাল ছিল, সেগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল অদলয়ের ছেলে শাফটকে।
And over the herds that fed in Sharon [was] Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds [that were] in the valleys [was] Shaphat the son of Adlai:
30 উটগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল ইশ্মায়েলীয় ওবীলকে। গাধাগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল মেরোণোথীয় যেহদিয়কে।
Over the camels also [was] Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses [was] Jehdeiah the Meronothite:
31 মেষের পালগুলি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হল হাগরীয় যাসীষকে। এরা সবাই রাজা দাউদের সম্পত্তি দেখাশোনা করার দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ছিলেন।
And over the flocks [was] Jaziz the Hagerite. All these [were] the rulers of the substance which [was] king David's.
32 দাউদের কাকা যোনাথন ছিলেন এমন একজন পরামর্শদাতা, যিনি জ্ঞানবুদ্ধিতে পরিপূর্ণ একজন মানুষ ও একজন শাস্ত্রবিদও ছিলেন। হকমোনির ছেলে যিহীয়েল রাজার ছেলেদের যত্ন নিতেন।
Also Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counselor, a wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni [was] with the king's sons:
33 অহীথোফল রাজার পরামর্শদাতা ছিলেন। অর্কীয় হূশয় রাজার অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু ছিলেন।
And Ahithophel [was] the king's counselor: and Hushai the Archite [was] the king's companion:
34 অহীথোফলের স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন অবিয়াথর ও বনায়ের ছেলে যিহোয়াদা। যোয়াব ছিলেন রাজকীয় সৈন্যদলের সেনাপতি।
And after Ahithophel [was] Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king's army [was] Joab.
