বংশাবলির প্রথম খণ্ড 25

1 সৈন্যদলের কয়েকজন সেনাপতিকে সাথে নিয়ে দাউদ আসফ, হেমন ও যিদূথূনের ছেলেদের মধ্যে কয়েকজনকে বীণা, খঞ্জনি ও সুরবাহার নিয়ে ভাববাণীর পরিচর্যা করার জন্য আলাদা করে চিহ্নিত করে দিলেন। এই হল সেইসব লোকের তালিকা, যারা এই পরিচর্যা সম্পন্ন করলেন:

David also divided off with the chiefs of the host for the service of the sons of Assaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, those who uttered praise [accompanied] with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and their number was of the men [that did] the work in their service.

2 আসফের ছেলেদের মধ্যে থেকে: সক্কুর, যোষেফ, নথনিয় ও অসারেল। আসফের ছেলেরা সেই আসফের তত্ত্বাবধানের অধীনে ছিলেন, যিনি মহারাজের তত্ত্বাবধানের অধীনে থেকে ভাববাণী করতেন।

Of the sons of Assaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethanyah, and Asharelah, the sons of Assaph under the supervision of Assaph, who uttered praise under the supervision of the king.

3 যিদূথূনের কথা, তাঁর ছেলেদের মধ্যে থেকে: গদলিয়, সরী, যিশায়াহ, শিমিয়ি, হশবিয় ও মত্তিথিয়, মোট এই ছ-জন, যারা তাদের বাবা সেই যিদূথূনের তত্ত্বাবধানের অধীনে ছিলেন, যিনি সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ জানানোর ও তাঁর প্রশংসা করার জন্য বীণা বাজিয়ে ভাববাণী বলতেন।

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedalyahu, and Zeri, and Jesha'yahu, Chashahyahu, and Matthithyahu, six, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who uttered praise with a harp, in order to give thanks and to utter praise unto the Lord.

4 হেমনের কথা, তাঁর ছেলেদের মধ্যে থেকে: বুক্কিয়, মত্তনিয়, উষীয়েল, শবূয়েল, যিরীমোৎ, হনানিয়, হনানি, ইলীয়াথা, গিদ্দলতি, রোমামতী-এষর, যশবকাশা, মল্লোথি, হোথীর ও মহসীয়োৎ।

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiyahu, Matthanyahu, 'Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Chananyah, Chanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-'ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Machaz'oth;

5 (এরা সবাই রাজার দর্শক হেমনের ছেলে ছিলেন। তাঁকে উন্নত করার জন্যই ঐশ্বরিক প্রতিজ্ঞার মাধ্যমে তারা তাঁকে দত্ত হল। ঈশ্বর হেমনকে চোদ্দোটি ছেলে ও তিনটি মেয়ে দিলেন।)

All these sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, were to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 এইসব লোকজন ঈশ্বরের ভবনে পরিচর্যা করার জন্য তাদের বাবার তত্ত্বাবধানের অধীনে থেকে সুরবাহার, খঞ্জনি ও বীণা নিয়ে সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরে গানবাজনা করতেন। আসফ, যিদূথূন ও হেমন মহারাজের তত্ত্বাবধানের অধীনে ছিলেন।

All these were under the supervision of their father at the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, under the supervision of the king, Assaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 তাদের সব আত্মীয়স্বজন সমেত—যারা সবাই সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে গানবাজনায় প্রশিক্ষিত ও দক্ষ ছিলেন—তাদের সংখ্যা হল 288 জন।

And their number, with their brethren that were practised in singing unto the Lord, even all that were acquainted [therewith], was two hundred eighty and eight.

8 ছোটো-বড়ো, শিক্ষক-ছাত্র নির্বিশেষে সবাই তাদের দায়িত্ব সুনিশ্চিত করার জন্য গুটিকাপাতের দান চাললেন।

And they cast lots, division against [division], the small well as the great, the one acquainted with his business together with the scholar.

9 আসফের জন্য গুটিকার প্রথম দানটি পড়েছিল যোষেফের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন। দ্বিতীয়টি পড়েছিল গদলিয়ের নামে, তাঁর এবং তাঁর আত্মীয় ও ছেলেদের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

And there came forth the first lot for Assaph for Joseph; Gedalyahu was the second, he with his brethren and sons, being twelve:

10 তৃতীয়টি পড়েছিল সক্কুরের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The third was Zaccur, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

11 চতুর্থটি পড়েছিল যিষ্রির নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The fourth was for Yizri, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

12 পঞ্চমটি পড়েছিল নথনিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The fifth was Nethanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

13 ষষ্ঠটি পড়েছিল বুক্কিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The sixth was Bukkiyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

14 সপ্তমটি পড়েছিল যিমারেলার নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The seventh was Jessarelah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

15 অষ্টমটি পড়েছিল যিশয়াহের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The eighth was Jesha'yahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

16 নবমটি পড়েছিল মত্তনিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The ninth was Matthanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

17 দশমটি পড়েছিল শিমিয়ির নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The tenth was Shim'i, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

18 একাদশতমটি পড়েছিল অসারেলের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The eleventh was 'Asarel, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

19 দ্বাদশতমটি পড়েছিল হশবিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The twelfth was for Chashahyah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

20 ত্রয়োদশতমটি পড়েছিল শবুয়েলের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The thirteenth was Shuhael, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

21 চতুর্দশতমটি পড়েছিল মত্তিথিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The fourteenth was Matthithyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

22 পঞ্চদশতমটি পড়েছিল যিরেমোতের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The fifteenth was for Jeremoth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

23 ষোড়শতমটি পড়েছিল হনানিয়ের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The sixteenth was for Chananyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

24 সপ্তদশতমটি পড়েছিল যশবকাশার নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The seventeenth was for Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

25 অষ্টাদশতমটি পড়েছিল হনানির নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The eighteenth was for Chanani, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

26 উনবিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল মল্লোথির নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The nineteenth was for Mallothi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

27 বিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল ইলীয়াথার নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The twentieth was for Eliyathah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

28 একবিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল হোথীরের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The one and twentieth was for Hothir, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

29 দ্বাবিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল গিদ্দলতির নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The two and twentieth was for Giddalthi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

30 ত্রয়োবিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল মহসীয়োতের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন;

The three and twentieth was for Machasioth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

31 চর্তুবিংশতিতমটি পড়েছিল রোমামতী-এষরের নামে, তাঁর ছেলে ও আত্মীয়দের সংখ্যা 12 জন।

The four and twentieth was for Romamthi-'eser, his sons and his brethren, being twelve.
