1 ইস্রায়েলের ছেলেরা হলেন: রূবেণ, শিমিয়োন, লেবি, যিহূদা, ইষাখর, ও সবূলূন,

These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

2 দান, যোষেফ, বিন্যামীন, নপ্তালি, গাদ এবং আশের।

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 যিহূদার ছেলেরা: এর, ওনন এবং শেলা। তাঁর এই তিন ছেলে এমন এক কনানীয়া মহিলার গর্ভে জন্মেছিল, যিনি শূয়ার মেয়ে ছিলেন। যিহূদার বড়ো ছেলে এর সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে দুষ্ট প্রতিপন্ন হল; তাই সদাপ্রভু তাকে মেরে ফেলেছিলেন।

The sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three [who] were born unto him of the daughter of Shua' the Canaanitess. And 'Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the eyes of the Lord: and he slew him.

4 যিহূদার পুত্রবধূ তামর যিহূদার ঔরসে পেরস ও সেরহকে জন্ম দিলেন। যিহূদার ছেলেদের সংখ্যা মোট পাঁচজন।

And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore unto him Perez and Zerach. All the sons of Judah were five.

5 পেরসের ছেলেরা: হিষ্রোণ এবং হামূল।

The sons of Perez: Chezron and Chamul.

6 সেরহের ছেলেরা: সিম্রি, এথন, হেমন, কলকোল এবং দার্দা—মোট পাঁচজন।

And the sons of Zerach: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara'; all of them five.

7 কর্মির ছেলে: আখর, যে উৎসর্গীকৃত বস্তুগুলি নেওয়ার উপর যে নিষেধাজ্ঞা বজায় ছিল, তা লঙ্ঘন করার মাধ্যমে ইস্রায়েলের ক্ষেত্রে সমস্যা উৎপন্ন করল।

And the sons of Carmi: 'Achar the troubler of Israel, who trespassed against the devoted things.

And the sons of Ethan: 'Azaryah.

9 হিষ্রোণের যে ছেলেরা জন্মেছিলেন, তারা হলেন: যিরহমেল, রাম এবং কালেব।

And the sons of Chezron, that were born unto him: Jerachmeel, and Ram, and Kelubai.

10 রাম অম্মীনাদবের বাবা ছিলেন, এবং অম্মীনাদব সেই নহশোনের বাবা ছিলেন, যিনি যিহূদা বংশের নেতা ছিলেন।

And Ram begat 'Amminadab, and 'Amminadab begat Nachshon, the prince of the children of Judah;

11 নহশোন সল্‌মনের বাবা ছিলেন, সল্‌মন ছিলেন বোয়সের বাবা,

And Nachshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Bo'az,

12 বোয়স ছিলেন ওবেদের বাবা এবং ওবেদ ছিলেন যিশয়ের বাবা।

And Bo'az begat 'Obed, and 'Obed begat Jesse,

13 যিশয় তাঁর বড়ো ছেলে ইলীয়াবের বাবা ছিলেন; তাঁর দ্বিতীয় ছেলে অবীনাদব, তৃতীয়জন শম্ম,

And Ishai begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shim'a the third,

14 চতুর্থজন নথনেল, পঞ্চমজন রদ্দয়,

Nathanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 ষষ্ঠজন ওৎসম এবং সপ্তমজন দাউদ।

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;

16 তাদের বোনেরা হলেন সরূয়া এবং অবীগল। সরূয়ার তিন ছেলে হলেন অবীশয়, যোয়াব এবং অসাহেল।

And their sisters were Zeruyah, and Abigayil. And the sons of Zeruyah: Abshai, and Joab, and 'Assahel, three.

17 অবীগল হলেন সেই অমাসার মা, যাঁর বাবা হলেন ইশ্মায়েলীয় যেথর।

And Abigayil bore 'Amassa: and the father of 'Amassa was Jether the Ishme'elite.

18 হিষ্রোণের ছেলে কালেব তাঁর স্ত্রী অসূবার দ্বারা (এবং যিরিয়োতের দ্বারা) সন্তান লাভ করলেন। অসূবার ছেলেরা হলেন: যেশর, শোবব এবং অর্দোন।

And Caleb the son of Chezron begat [children] of 'Azubah his wife, and of Jeri'oth; and these are her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19 অসূবা মারা যাওয়ার পর কালেব সেই ইফ্রাথাকে বিয়ে করলেন, যিনি তাঁর ঔরসে হূরকে জন্ম দিলেন।

And 'Azubah died, when Caleb took unto himself Ephrath, who bore unto him Chur.

20 হূর ঊরির বাবা ছিলেন, এবং ঊরি ছিলেন বৎসলেলের বাবা।

And Chur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.

21 পরে হিষ্রোণের বয়স যখন ষাট বছর, তখন তিনি গিলিয়দের বাবা মাখীরের মেয়েকে বিয়ে করলেন। তিনি তাঁর সাথে সহবাস করলেন, এবং তাঁর স্ত্রী তাঁর ঔরসে সগূবকে জন্ম দিলেন।

And afterward came Chezron to the daughter of Machir the father of Gil'ad, and he took her [for wife] when he was sixty years old: and she bore unto him Segub.

22 সগূব সেই যায়ীরের বাবা, যিনি গিলিয়দে তেইশটি নগরকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতেন।

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gil'ad.

23 (কিন্তু গশূর ও অরাম হবৎ-যায়ীর দখল করে নিয়েছিল, এছাড়াও তারা কনাৎ ও সেটির পার্শ্ববর্তী উপনিবেশগুলিও—অর্থাৎ ষাটটি নগর দখল করে নিয়েছিল) এরা সবাই গিলিয়দের বাবা মাখীরের বংশধর।

But Geshur and Aram took the small towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Gil'ad.

24 কালেব-ইফ্রাথায় হিষ্রোণ মারা যাওয়ার পর হিষ্রোণের স্ত্রী অবিয়া তাঁর ঔরসে তকোয়ের বাবা অস্‌হূরকে জন্ম দিলেন।

And after Chezron was dead in Calebephratah, then bore Chezron's wife Abiyah unto him Ashchur the father of Thekoa'.

25 হিষ্রোণের বড়ো ছেলে যিরহমেলের ছেলেরা: তাঁর বড়ো ছেলে রাম, পরে যথাক্রমে বূনা, ওরণ, ওৎসম ও অহিয়।

And the sons of Jerachmeel the first-born of Chezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Achiyah.

26 যিরহমেলের অন্য আর এক স্ত্রীও ছিলেন, যাঁর নাম অটারা; তিনি ওনমের মা।

Yerachmeel had also another wife, whose name was 'Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

27 যিরহমেলের বড়ো ছেলে রামের ছেলেরা: মাষ, যামীন ও একর।

And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerachmeel were, Ma'az, and Jamin, and 'Eker.

28 ওনমের ছেলেরা: শম্ময় ও যাদা। শম্ময়ের ছেলেরা: নাদব ও অবীশূর।

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada'. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.

29 অবীশূরের স্ত্রীর নাম অবীহয়িল, যিনি তাঁর ঔরসে অহবান ও মোলীদকে জন্ম দিলেন।

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abichayil, and she bore unto him Achban, and Molid.

30 নাদবের ছেলেরা: সেলদ ও অপ্পয়িম। সেলদ নিঃসন্তান অবস্থায় মারা গেলেন।

And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appayim; and Seled died without children.

31 অপ্পয়িমের ছেলে: যিশী, যিনি শেশনের বাবা। শেশন অহলয়ের বাবা।

And the sons of Appayim: Yish'i. And the sons of Yish'i: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Achlai.

32 শম্ময়ের ভাই যাদার ছেলেরা: যেথর ও যোনাথন। যেথর নিঃসন্তান অবস্থায় মারা গেলেন।

And the sons of Jada' the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.

33 যোনাথনের ছেলেরা: পেলৎ ও সাসা। এরাই হলেন যিরহমেলের বংশধর।

And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerachmeel.

34 শেশনের কোনও ছেলে ছিল না—ছিল শুধু কয়েকটি মেয়ে। যার্হা নামে তাঁর মিশরীয় এক দাস ছিল।

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarcha'.

35 শেশন তাঁর মেয়ের সাথে তাঁর দাস যার্হার বিয়ে দিলেন, এবং তিনি যার্থার ঔরসে অত্তয়ের জন্ম দিলেন।

And Sheshan gave his daughter unto Jarcha' his servant for wife: and she bore unto him 'Attai.

36 অত্তয় নাথনের বাবা, নাথন সাবদের বাবা,

And 'Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad.

37 সাবদ ইফললের বাবা, ইফলল ওবেদের বাবা,

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat 'Obed.

38 ওবেদ যেহূর বাবা, যেহূ অসরিয়র বাবা,

And 'Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat 'Azaryah,

39 অসরিয় হেলসের বাবা, হেলস ইলীয়াসার বাবা,

And 'Azaryah begat Chelez, and Chelez begat El'assah,

40 ইলীয়াসা সিসময়ের বাবা, সিসময় শল্লুমের বাবা,

And El'assah begat Sissmai, and Sissmai begat Shallum.

41 শল্লুম যিকমিয়ের বাবা, এবং যিকমিয় ইলীশামার বাবা।

And Shallum begat Jekamyah, and Jekamyah begat Elishama'.

42 যিরহমেলের ভাই কালেবের ছেলেরা: তাঁর বড়ো ছেলে মেশা, যিনি সীফের বাবা, এবং তাঁর ছেলে মারেশা, যিনি হিব্রোণের বাবা।

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerachmeel were, Mesha', his first-born, who was the father of Ziph, and of the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

43 হিব্রোণের ছেলেরা: কোরহ, তপূহ, রেকম ও শেমা।

And the sons of Hebron: Korach, and Thappuach, and Rekem, and Shema'.

44 শেমা রহমের বাবা, এবং রহম যর্কিয়মের বাবা। রেকম শম্ময়ের বাবা।

And Shema' begat Racham, the father of Jorke'am; and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 শম্ময়ের ছেলে মায়োন, এবং মায়োন বেত-সূরের বাবা।

And the son of Shammai was Ma'on; and Ma'on was the father of Beth-zur.

46 কালেবের উপপত্নী ঐফা হারণ, মোৎসা ও গাসেসের মা। হারণ গাসেসের বাবা।

And 'Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Charan, and Moza, and Gazez; and Charan begat Gazez.

47 যেহদয়ের ছেলেরা: রেগম, যোথম, গেসন, পেলট, ঐফা ও শাফ।

And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and 'Ephah, and Sha'aph.

48 কালেবের উপপত্নী মাখা শেবর ও তির্হনহ।

Ma'achah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirchanah.

49 এছাড়াও তিনি মদ্‌মন্নার বাবা শাফ এবং মক্‌বেনার ও গিবিয়ার বাবা শিবাকে জন্ম দিলেন। কালেবের মেয়ের নাম অক্‌ষা।

She bore also! Sha'aph the father of Madmannah. Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gib'a: ! and the daughter of Caleb was 'Achsah.

50 এরাই হলেন কালেবের বংশধর। ইফ্রাথার বড়ো ছেলে হূরের ছেলেরা: কিরিয়ৎ-যিয়ারীমের বাবা শোবল,

These were the sons of Caleb: Benchur, the first-born of Ephratah, Shobal the father of Kiryath-ye'arim,

51 বেথলেহেমের বাবা শল্‌ম, এবং বেথ-গাদের বাবা হারেফ।

Salma the father of Beth-lechem, Chareph the father of Beth-gader.

52 কিরিয়ৎ-যিয়ারীমের বাবা শোবলের বংশধরেরা: মনূহোতীয়দের অর্ধাংশ হরোয়া,

And Shobal the father of Kir'yath-ye'arim had sons: Haroeh, and Chazi-hammenuchoth.

53 এবং কিরিয়ৎ-যিয়ারীমের বংশ: যিত্রীয়, পূথীয়, শূমাথীয় মিশ্রায়ীয়রা। এদের থেকেই সরাথীয় ও ইষ্টায়োলীয়রা উৎপন্ন হল।

And the families of Kir'yath-ye'arim are the Yithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishra'ites: from these came the Zor'athites, and the Eshthaulites.

54 শল্‌মের বংশধরেরা: বেথলেহেম, নটোফাতীয়, অট্রোৎ-বেৎযোয়াব, মনহতীয়দের অর্ধাংশ, সরায়ীয়,

The sons of Salma: Beth-lechem, and the Netophathites, 'Ataroth of the house of Joab, and Chazi-hammanachthi, the Zor'ite.

55 এবং যাবেষে বসবাসকারী শাস্ত্রবিদদের বংশ: তিরিথীয়, শিমিয়থীয় ও সূখাথীয়রা। এরা সেই কেনীয়, যারা রেখবীয়দের বাবা হম্মতের বংশজাত।

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Thirathites, the Shim'athites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came from Chammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
