1 আদমের বংশধরেরা হলেন শেথ, ইনোশ,
Adam, Seth, Enosh,
2 কৈনন, মহললেল, যেরদ,
Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared,
3 হনোক, মথূশেলহ, লেমক, নোহ।
Enoch, Methushelah, Lemech,
4 নোহের ছেলেরা: শেম, হাম ও যেফৎ।
Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 যেফতের ছেলেরা: গোমর, মাগোগ, মাদয়, যবন, তূবল, মেশক ও তীরস।
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 গোমরের ছেলেরা: অস্কিনস, রীফৎ এবং তোগর্ম।
— And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
7 যবনের ছেলেরা: ইলীশা, তর্শীশ, কিত্তীম এবং রোদানীম।
And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Rodanim.
8 হামের ছেলেরা: কূশ, মিশর, পূট ও কনান।
The sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim, Phut and Canaan.
9 কূশের ছেলেরা: সবা, হবীলা, সব্তা, রয়মা ও সব্তেকা। রয়মার ছেলেরা: শিবা ও দদান।
— And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
10 কূশ সেই নিম্রোদের বাবা, যিনি পৃথিবীতে এক বলশালী যোদ্ধা হয়ে উঠলেন।
And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
11 মিশর ছিলেন সেই লূদীয়, অনামীয়, লহাবীয়, নপ্তুহীয়,
— And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
12 পথ্রোষীয়, কস্লূহীয় (যাদের থেকে ফিলিস্তিনীরা উৎপন্ন হয়েছে) ও কপ্তোরীয়দের বাবা।
and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim out of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphtorim.
13 কনান ছিলেন তাঁর বড়ো ছেলে সীদোনের, ও হিত্তীয়,
— And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
14 যিবূষীয়, ইমোরীয়, গির্গাশীয়,
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 হিব্বীয়, অর্কীয়, সীনীয়,
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
16 অর্বদীয়, সমারীয় ও হমাতীয়দের বাবা।
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
17 শেমের ছেলেরা: এলম, অশূর, অর্ফক্ষদ, লূদ ও অরাম। অরামের ছেলেরা: ঊষ, হূল, গেথর ও মেশক।
The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
18 অর্ফক্ষদ হলেন শেলহের বাবা, এবং শেলহ ছিলেন এবরের বাবা।
— And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
19 এবরের দুটি ছেলের জন্ম হল: একজনের নাম দেওয়া হল পেলগ, কারণ তাঁর সময়কালেই পৃথিবী বিভিন্ন ভাষাবাদী জাতির আধারে বিভক্ত হল; তাঁর ভাইয়ের নাম দেওয়া হল যক্তন।
And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 যক্তন হলেন অলমোদদ, শেলফ, হৎসর্মাবৎ, যেরহ,
And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 হদোরাম, ঊষল, দিক্ল,
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 ওবল, অবীমায়েল, শিবা,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 ওফীর, হবীলা ও যোববের বাবা। তারা সবাই যক্তনের বংশধর ছিলেন।
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were sons of Joktan.
24 শেম, অর্ফক্ষদ, শেলহ,
Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
25 এবর, পেলগ, রিয়ূ,
Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 সরূগ, নাহোর, তেরহ
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 ও অব্রাম (অর্থাৎ, অব্রাহাম)।
Abram: the same is Abraham.
28 অব্রাহামের ছেলেরা: ইস্হাক ও ইশ্মায়েল।
The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.
29 এই তাদের বংশধরেরা: ইশ্মায়েলের বড়ো ছেলে নবায়োৎ, এছাড়াও কেদর, অদবেল, মিবসম,
These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam;
30 মিশমা, দুমা, মসা, হদদ, তেমা,
Mishma and Dumah; Massa, Hadad, and Tema;
31 যিটূর, নাফীশ ও কেদমা। তারাও ইশ্মায়েলের ছেলে।
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedmah: those are the sons of Ishmael.
32 অব্রাহামের উপপত্নী কটূরার গর্ভে যে ছেলেদের জন্ম হল, তারা হলেন: সিম্রণ, যক্ষণ, মদান, মিদিয়ন, যিষবক ও শূহ। যক্ষণের ছেলেরা: শিবা ও দদান।
— And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
33 মিদিয়নের ছেলেরা: ঐফা, এফর, হনোক, অবীদ ও ইলদায়া। এরা সবাই কটূরার বংশধর ছিলেন।
And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.
34 অব্রাহাম ছিলেন ইস্হাকের বাবা। ইস্হাকের ছেলেরা: এষৌ ও ইস্রায়েল।
And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
35 এষৌর ছেলেরা: ইলীফস, রূয়েল, যিয়ূশ, যালম ও কোরহ।
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
36 ইলীফসের ছেলেরা: তৈমন, ওমার, সেফো, গয়িতম ও কনস; তিম্নার ছেলে: অমালেক।
— The sons of Eliphaz: Teman and Omar, Zephi and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 রূয়েলের ছেলেরা: নহৎ, সেরহ, শম্ম ও মিসা।
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 সেয়ীরের ছেলেরা: লোটন, শোবল, শিবিয়োন, অনা, দিশোন, এৎসর ও দীশন।
And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 লোটনের ছেলেরা: হোরি ও হোমম। তিম্না ছিলেন লোটনের বোন।
— And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
40 শোবলের ছেলেরা: অলবন, মানহৎ, এবল, শফী ও ওনম। সিবিয়োনের ছেলেরা: অয়া ও অনা।
— The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
41 অনার সন্তানেরা: দিশোন। দিশোনের ছেলেরা: হিমদন, ইশ্বন, যিত্রণ ও করাণ।
— The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
42 এৎসরের ছেলেরা: বিলহন, সাবন ও আকন। দীশনের ছেলেরা: ঊষ ও অরাণ।
— The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
43 কোনও ইস্রায়েলী রাজা রাজত্ব করার আগে যে রাজারা ইদোমে রাজত্ব করে গেলেন, তারা হলেন: বিয়োরের ছেলে বেলা, যাঁর রাজধানী নগরের নাম দেওয়া হল দিনহাবা।
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 বেলা যখন মারা যান, বস্রানিবাসী সেরহের ছেলে যোবব তখন রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন।
And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 যোবব যখন মারা যান, তৈমন দেশ থেকে আগত হূশম রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন।
And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 হূশম যখন মারা যান, বেদদের ছেলে সেই হদদ তখন রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন, যিনি মোয়াব দেশে মিদিয়নীয়দের পরাজিত করলেন। তাঁর নগরের নাম দেওয়া হল অবীৎ।
And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
47 হদদ যখন মারা যান, মস্রেকানিবাসী সম্ল তখন রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন।
And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 সম্ল যখন মারা যান, সেই নদীর নিকটবর্তী রহোবোৎ নিবাসী শৌল তখন রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন।
And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
49 শৌল যখন মারা যান, অকবোরের ছেলে বায়াল-হানন তখন রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন।
And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 বায়াল-হানন যখন মারা যান, হদদ রাজারূপে তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হলেন। তাঁর নগরের নাম দেওয়া হল পায়ূ, এবং তাঁর স্ত্রীর নাম মহেটবেল, যিনি মট্রেদের মেয়ে, ও মেষাহবের নাতনি ছিলেন।
And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
51 হদদও মারা গেলেন। ইদোমের দলপতিরা হলেন: তিম্ন, অলবা, যিথেৎ,
And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
52 অহলীবামা, এলা, পীনোন,
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
53 কনস, তৈমন, মিবসর,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
54 মগ্দীয়েল ও ঈরম। এরাই ইদোমের দলপতি ছিলেন।
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
