গীতসংহিতা 85

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। কোরহ সন্তানদের সঙ্গীত। হে সদাপ্রভুু, তুমি তোমার দেশের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ দেখিয়েছ, তুমি যাকোবের মঙ্গল ফিরিয়েছ।

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. LORD, Thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 ২ তুমি তোমার লোকদের অপরাধ ক্ষমা করেছ, তুমি তাদের সমস্ত পাপ ঢেকে দিয়েছ।

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. (Selah)

3 ৩ তুমি তোমার সমস্ত ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছ, তুমি তোমার ক্রোধ থেকে ফিরে এসেছ।

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned [thyself] from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 ৪ আমাদেরকে ফেরাও, ঈশ্বর আমাদের উদ্ধারকর্তা এবং আমাদের সঙ্গে তোমার অসন্তোষ দূর কর।

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

5 ৫ তুমি কি আমাদের ওপরে চিরকাল রেগে থাকবে? তুমি কি ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের মধ্যে তোমার রাগ রাখবে?

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 ৬ তুমি কি আবার আমাদেরকে জীবিত করবে না? তখন তোমার লোকেরা তোমাতে আনন্দ করবে।

Wilt thou not quicken us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 ৭ হে সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার বিশ্বস্ততার নিয়ম আমাদেরকে দেখাও, আর তোমার পরিত্রান আমাদেরকে দান কর।

Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

8 ৮ ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুু যা বলবেন, আমি তা শুনব; কারণ তিনি তাঁর লোকদের, তাঁর বিশ্বস্ত অনুগামীদের কাছে শান্তির কথা বলবেন; কিন্তু তারা আবার মূর্খতায় না ফিরুক।

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 ৯ সত্যিই তাঁর পরিত্রান তাদেরই কাছে থাকে, যারা তাঁকে ভয় করে। তখন আমাদের দেশে মহিমা থাকবে।

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 ১০ বিশ্বস্ততার চুক্তি ও বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা পরস্পর মিলল, ধার্ম্মিকতা ও শান্তি একে অপরকে চুম্বন করল।

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 ১১ ভূমি থেকে বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতার অঙ্কুর ওঠে এবং স্বর্গ থেকে বিজয় নীচু হয়ে দেখছে।

Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.

12 ১২ হ্যাঁ, সদাপ্রভুু তাঁর ভালো আশীর্বাদ দেবেন। এবং আমাদের দেশ তার ফসল উত্পন্ন করবে।

Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 ১৩ ধার্ম্মিকতা তার আগে যাবে এবং তাঁর পদচিহ্নকে পথ সরূপ করবে।

Righteousness shall go before him; and shall make his footsteps a way [to walk in].
