গীতসংহিতা 84

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকারের জন্য। স্বর, গিত্তীৎ। কোরহ সন্তানদের গান। হে বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার বাসস্থান কেমন প্রিয়।

“For the leader of the music. On the Gittith. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” How lovely are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

2 ২ আমার প্রাণ সদাপ্রভুুর প্রাঙ্গণের জন্য আকাঙ্খা করে, এমন কি মূর্চ্ছিত হয়, আমার হৃদয় ও আমার মাংস জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে উচ্চ ধ্বনি করে।

My soul longeth, yea, fainteth, for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry aloud for the living God.

3 ৩ এমনকি চড়াই পাখি তার একটা ঘর পেয়েছে, দোয়েল পাখি নিজের সন্তানদের রাখার এক বাসা পেয়েছে; তোমার বেদিই সেই জায়গা, হে বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুু, আমার রাজা আমার ঈশ্বর।

The very sparrow findeth an abode, And the swallow a nest, where they may lay their young, By thine altars, O LORD of hosts, My king and my God!

4 ৪ ধন্য তারা, যারা তোমার গৃহে বাস করে, তারা সর্বদা তোমার প্রশংসা করবে।

Happy they who dwell in thy house, Who are continually praising thee! (Pause)

5 ৫ ধন্য সেই লোক, যার বল তোমাতে, সিয়োনগামী রাজপথ যার হৃদয়ে রয়েছে।

Happy the man whose glory is in thee, In whose heart are the ways [[to Jerusalem]]!

6 ৬ তারা কান্নার তলভূমি দিয়ে গমন করে, তারা পানীয় জলের ঝরনার সন্ধান পায়; প্রথম বৃষ্টি তা জলাধারের জল দিয়ে ঢেকে দেয়।

Passing through the valley of Baca, they make it a fountain; and the early rain covereth it with blessings.

7 ৭ তারা শক্তিশালী থেকে আরো শক্তিশালী হয়ে ওঠে, তাদের প্রত্যেকে সিয়োনের ঈশ্বরের সামনে উপস্থিত হয়৷

They go on from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

8 ৮ হে সদাপ্রভুু, বাহিনীদের ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রার্থনা শোন হে যাকোবের ঈশ্বর মনোযোগ দাও।

Hear my prayer, O LORD, God of hosts! Give ear, O God of Jacob! (Pause)

9 ৯ দেখ হে ঈশ্বর আমাদের ঢাল, দেখ তোমার অভিষিক্তের মুখের প্রতি।

Look down, O God! our shield, And behold the face of thine anointed!

10 ১০ কারণ তোমার প্রাঙ্গণে একদিন ও হাজার দিনের র চেয়ে উত্তম; বরং আমি ঈশ্বরের ঘরের দরজায় দরোয়ান হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকব, তবু দুষ্টতার তাঁবুতে বাস করা ভালো নয়।

For a day spent in thy courts is better than a thousand: I would rather stand on the threshold of the house of my God, Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 ১১ কারণ সদাপ্রভুু ঈশ্বর আমাদের সূর্য্য ও ঢাল; সদাপ্রভুু অনুগ্রহ ও প্রতাপ দেন; যারা সিদ্ধতায় চলে, তাদের মঙ্গল করতে অস্বীকার করবেন না।

For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; The LORD giveth grace and glory; No good thing doth he withhold From them that walk uprightly.

12 ১২ হে বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুু, ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি, যে তোমার উপরে নির্ভর করে।

O LORD of hosts! Happy the man who trusteth in thee!
