1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর, শোশন্নীম–এদুৎ। আসফের একটি গীত। হে ইস্রায়েলের পালক অবধান কর, যে তুমি যোষেফকে ভেড়ার পালের মতো চালাও, যে তুমি করূবদের উর্ধ্বে বসে আছ, আমাদের ওপরে দীপ্তিময় হও।

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you that lead Joseph like a flock; you that dwell between the cherubims, shine forth.

2 ২ ইফ্রয়িম, বিন্যামীন ও মনঃশির সামনে নিজের পরাক্রমকে সতেজ কর, আমাদের পরিত্রান কর।

Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up your strength, and come and save us.

3 ৩ ঈশ্বর আমাকে ফেরাও, তোমার মুখ উজ্জ্বল কর, তাতে আমরা পরিত্রান পাব।

Turn us again, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

4 ৪ সদাপ্রভুু, বাহিনীগনের ঈশ্বর, তুমি নিজের লোকেদের প্রতি ও তাদের প্রার্থনার প্রতি আর কত দিন রেগে থাকবে?

O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

5 ৫ তুমি খাওয়ার জন্য তাদের চোখের জল দিয়েছ, বহু পরিমাণে চোখের জল পান করিয়েছ।

You feed them with the bread of tears; and give them tears to drink in great measure.

6 ৬ তুমি প্রতিবেশীদের মধ্যে আমাদেরকে বিবাদের পাত্র করেছ, আমাদের শত্রুরা তাদের নিজেদের মধ্যে আমাদেরকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা করে।

You make us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 ৭ বাহিনীগনের ঈশ্বর, আমাদেরকে ফেরাও, তোমার মুখ উজ্জ্বল কর, তাতে আমরা রক্ষা পাব।

Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

8 ৮ তুমি মিশর থেকে একটি আঙ্গুর গাছ এনেছ, জাতিদেরকে দূর করে তা রোপণ করেছ।

You have brought a vine out of Egypt: you have cast out the heathen, and planted it.

9 ৯ তুমি তার জন্য জমি পরিষ্কার করেছ, তার মূল গভীরে গিয়ে দেশের মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল।

You prepared room before it, and did cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.

10 ১০ তার ছায়ায় পর্বত ঢেকে যায়, তার শাখাগুলি ঈশ্বরের এরস গাছের মত হয়।

The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.

11 ১১ তা সমুদ্র পর্যন্ত নিজের শাখা, নদী পর্যন্ত নিজের পল্লব বিস্তার করে।

She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.

12 ১২ তুমি কেন তার বেড়া ভেঙে ফেললে? লোকেরা সব তার পাতা ছেড়ে।

Why have you then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?

13 ১৩ বন থেকে শূকরেরা এসে তা ধ্বংস করে এবং মাঠের পশুরা তা মুড়িয়ে খেয়ে ফেলে।

The boar out of the wood does waste it, and the wild beast of the field does devour it.

14 ১৪ বিনয় করি, বাহিনীগনের ঈশ্বর, স্বর্গ থেকে চেয়ে দেখ, এই আঙ্গুরলতার যত্ন কর;

Return, we plead to you, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

15 ১৫ রক্ষা কর তা, যা তোমার দক্ষিণে হাত রোপণ করেছেন, আর সেই পুত্রকে, যাকে তুমি নিজের জন্য সবল করছ।

And the vineyard which your right hand has planted, and the branch that you made strong for yourself.

16 ১৬ তা আগুনে দগ্ধ হয়েছে, তা কেটে ফেলা হয়েছে; তোমার মুখের তিরস্কারে লোকেরা বিনষ্ট হচ্ছে।

It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of your countenance.

17 ১৭ তোমার হাত তোমার ডান হাতের মানুষের উপরে থাকুক, সেই মনুষ্যপুত্রের উপরে থাকুক যাকে তুমি তোমার জন্য শক্তিশালী করেছ।

Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, upon the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.

18 ১৮ তাতে আমরা তোমার থেকে ফিরে যাব না; তুমি আমাদেরকে সঞ্জীবিত কর, আমরা তোমার নামে ডাকি।

So will not we go back from you: quicken us, and we will call upon your name.

19 ১৯ সদাপ্রভুু, বাহিনীগনের ঈশ্বর, আমাদেরকে ফেরাও; তোমার মুখ উজ্জ্বল কর, তাতে আমরা পরিত্রান পাব।

Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
