1 ১ দায়ূদের একটি বাদ্যযন্ত্র সংযোজন যা তিনি বিন্যামীনীয় কূশের কথার সম্মন্ধে সদাপ্রভুুর কাছে গান করেন। সদাপ্রভুু আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তোমার আশ্রয় নিয়েছি! আমার পিছু নিয়েছে যারা তাদের থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা কর, আমাকে উদ্ধার কর।
“A psalm of David, which he sang to Jehovah, on account of the reproaches of Cush the Benjamite.” O Jehovah, my God! to thee do I look for help; Save me from them that persecute me, and deliver me!
2 ২ অথবা তারা আমাকে, সিংহের মত ছিঁড়ে ফেলবে, টুকরো টুকরো করবে, কেউ আমাকে নিরাপদে আনতে পারবে না।
Lest mine enemy tear me like a lion; Lest he rend me in pieces, while there is none to help.
3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু আমার ঈশ্বর, আমার শত্রুরা যা বলেছে তা আমি কখনই করিনি, আমার হাতে কোন অন্যায় নেই,
O Jehovah, my God! if I have done this, —If there be iniquity upon my hands,
4 ৪ যে কেউ আমার সাথে শান্তিতে থাকে আমি তার কখনও ক্ষতি করিনি, যারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে অজ্ঞান ভাবে আমি তাদেরও ক্ষতি করব না,
If I have rendered evil to my friend, Or have despoiled him that without cause is mine enemy, —
5 ৫ যদি আমি সত্যি না বলি তাহলে আমার জীবনে শত্রুরা আমায় অনুসরণ করুক এবং ধরে ফেলুক, সে আমার জীবন্ত দেহকে মাটিতে পায়ে দলিত করুক এবং তবে আমার সম্মানকে ধূলোতে মিশিয়ে দিক। (সেলা)
Let my adversary pursue and take me; Let him trample me to the ground, And lay me prostrate in the dust! (Pause)
6 ৬ সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার ক্রোধে ওঠো, আমার শত্রুদের ক্রোধের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়াও, আমার জন্য জেগে ওঠ এবং ধার্মিকতার আজ্ঞা সম্পন্ন কর যা তুমি তাদের জন্য আদেশ দিয়েছ।
Arise, O LORD! in thine anger; Lift thyself up against the rage of mine enemies; Awake for me, ordain judgment!
7 ৭ দেশগুলো তোমার চারপাশে একত্রিত হয়; তুমি আরেক বার তাদের উপরে সঠিক জায়গা নাও
Let the assembly of the nations compass thee about, And on their account return to the height!
8 ৮ সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুু, জাতিদের বিচার করো; সদাপ্রভুু আমার বিচার কর, কারণ হে সদাপ্রভুু আমি ধার্মিক ও নির্দোষ।
The LORD judgeth the nations; Judge me, O LORD! according to my righteousness, And requite me according to my integrity!
9 ৯ দুষ্টদের মন্দ কাজ শেষ হোক, কিন্তু ধার্মিক লোকদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত করো, ধার্মিক ঈশ্বর। যিনি হৃদয় ও মনের পরীক্ষা করেন।
Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked be at an end; But establish the righteous! For the righteous God trieth the heart and the reins.
10 ১০ ঈশ্বর আমার ঢাল, তিনি তাদেরকে রক্ষা করেন যারা ন্যায়পরায়ণ।
My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart.
11 ১১ ঈশ্বর ধার্মিক বিচারক, ঈশ্বর যিনি প্রতিদিন ক্রোধ করেন।
God is a righteous judge, And a God who is angry every day.
12 ১২ যদি কোন ব্যক্তি অনুতাপ না করে, তবে ঈশ্বর তাঁর তলোয়ারে শান দেবেন এবং যুদ্ধের জন্য তিনি তাঁর ধনুক প্রস্তুত করবেন।
If he do not desist, He sharpeneth his sword; He bendeth his bow, and maketh it ready;
13 ১৩ তিনি তার বিরুদ্ধে অস্ত্র ব্যবহার করতে প্রস্তুত; তিনি তাঁর তীরকে জ্বলন্ত তীরে পরিণত করেন।
He prepareth for him the instruments of death; He shooteth his burning arrows.
14 ১৪ তাদের কথা ভাব যারা দুষ্টতা গর্ভে ধারণ করে, যারা ক্ষতিকারক মিথ্যার জন্ম দেয়।
Behold, he travailed with iniquity, And conceived mischief, But hath brought forth disappointment!
15 ১৫ সে একটি গর্ত খোঁড়ে এবং সেই গর্ত গভীর করে এবং তারপর সে নিজের ঐ তৈরী করা গর্তের মধ্যে পড়ে যায়।
He made a pit and digged it. And is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 ১৬ তাদের ধ্বংসাত্মক পরিকল্পনা নিজেদের মাথাতে ফিরে আসে, তাদের হিংসা নিজেদের মাথায় ফিরে আসে।
His mischief returneth upon his own head, And his violence cometh down upon his own skull.
17 ১৭ আমি সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুুকে তাঁর ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য ধন্যবাদ দেব, আমি মহান সদাপ্রভুুর উদ্দেশ্যে প্রশংসা গান করব।
I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness; I will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
