গীতসংহিতা 56
1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর যোনৎ এলম-রহকীম। দায়ূদের একটি গীত। মিকতাম। যখন পলেষ্টীয়েরা গাতে তাকে ধরল, তখন। ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রতি দয়া কর, কারণ কেউ আমাকে গ্রাস করতে চাইছে; সে সারা দিন যুদ্ধ করে আমাকে মারধর করে।
To the chief Musician. On Jonathelem-rechokim. Of David. Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be gracious unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up: all the day long fighting he oppresseth me.
Mine enemies would swallow [me] up all the day long; for they are many that fight against me haughtily.
In the day that I am afraid, I will confide in thee.
4 ৪ ঈশ্বরে (আমি তাঁর বাক্যের প্রশংসা করব), আমি ঈশ্বরে বিশ্বাস করেছি, ভয় পাব না; মাংস আমার কি করতে পারে?
In God will I praise his word, in God I put my confidence: I will not fear; what can flesh do unto me?
All the day long they wrest my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 ৬ তারা একসাথে হয়ে ঘাঁটি বসায়, তারা নিজেকে লুকায় এবং তারা আমার পদক্ষেপ লক্ষ্য করে, যেন মনে হয় তারা আমার জীবনের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে।
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves; they mark my steps, because they wait for my soul.
Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.
Thou countest my wanderings; put my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
Then shall mine enemies return backward in the day when I call: this I know, for God is for me.
In God will I praise [his] word; in Jehovah will I praise [his] word.
In God have I put my confidence: I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thanks unto thee.
13 ১৩ তুমি মৃত্যুর মধ্যে থেকে আমার জীবনকে উদ্ধার করেছ; তুমি কি পতন থেকে আমার পা উদ্ধার কর নি, যেন আমি জীবিতদের আলোতে ঈশ্বরের সামনে চলাফেরা পারি?
For thou hast delivered my soul from death; [wilt thou] not [keep] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
