গীতসংহিতা 48

1 ১ একটি সঙ্গীত। করোহ-সন্তানদের একটি গীত। সদাপ্রভুু মহান এবং অত্যন্ত প্রশংসনীয়, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের শহরে, তাঁর পবিত্র পর্বতে।

A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2 ২ সুন্দর উচ্চ ভূমি, সমস্ত পৃথিবী আনন্দ স্থল, উত্তর দিকের সিয়োন পর্বত, মহান রাজার শহর।

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 ৩ ঈশ্বর তাঁর আশ্রয়স্থানের মধ্যে প্রাসাদের বলে নিজের পরিচয় দিয়েছেন।

God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 ৪ কারণ দেখ, রাজারা নিজেদের একত্র করে; তারা একসঙ্গে চলে গেলেন।

For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 ৫ তারা দেখলেন, তারপর তারা অবাক হলেন; তারা হতাশ ছিল এবং দ্রুত চলে গেল।

They saw it, and so they wondered; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6 ৬ সেখানে তাদের কম্পন ধরল, প্রসবকারিনী মহিলার মত তার ব্যথা ধরল।

Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 ৭ তুমি পূর্ব বায়ু দিয়ে তুর্শীশের জাহাজ ভাঙ্গো।

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 ৮ আমরা যেমন শুনেছিলাম, তাই আমরা বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুুর শহর দেখলাম, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের শহর; ঈশ্বর এটি চিরদিনের র জন্য স্থাপন করবেন। (সেলা)

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

9 ৯ আমরা তোমার নিয়মের বিশ্বস্ততা সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করেছি, ঈশ্বর, তোমার মন্দিরের মাঝখানে।

We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 ১০ যেমন তোমার নাম ঈশ্বর, তেমনি তোমার প্রশংসা পৃথিবীর শেষ সীমা পর্যন্ত; তোমার ডান হাত ধার্মিকতার দ্বারা পরিপূর্ণ।

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 ১১ সিয়োন শহর আনন্দ করুক, যিহূদার লোকেরা আনন্দ করুক, তোমার ধার্মিক শাসনের জন্য।

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 ১২ তোমরা সিয়োনের কাছাকাছি হেঁটে চল, তার চারিদিকে ভ্রমণ করে, তার দূর্গ গণনা করে।

Walk about Zion, and go around her: number her towers.

13 ১৩ তার দেয়ালে মনোযোগ কর এবং তার প্রাসাদের দিকে তাকাও যাতে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে তা বলতে পার।

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 ১৪ কারণ এই ঈশ্বরই চিরদিনের র জন্য আমাদের ঈশ্বর; তিনি চিরকাল আমাদের পথ পথদর্শক হবে।

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even to death.
