1 ১ একটি গীত; সদাপ্রভুু, আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করব, কারণ তুমি আমাকে উঠিয়েছ এবং আমার শত্রুদের আমার উপরে আনন্দ করতে দাওনি।
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House; of David. I will extol thee, O LORD, for Thou hast raised me up, and hast not suffered mine enemies to rejoice over me.
O LORD my God, I cried unto Thee, and Thou didst heal me;
3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু, তুমি আমার প্রাণকে পাতাল থেকে নিয়ে এসেছ; আমাকে জীবিত রেখেছ যেন কবরে না যাই। (Sheol h7585)
O LORD, Thou broughtest up my soul from the nether-world; Thou didst keep me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Sing praise unto the LORD, O ye His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name.
5 ৫ কারণ তাঁর রাগ এক মুহূর্তের জন্য থাকে; কিন্তু তাঁর অনুগ্রহতেই জীবন। কান্না রাতের জন্য আসে, কিন্তু সকালেই আনন্দ আসে।
For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for a life-time; weeping may tarry for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Now I had said in my security: 'I shall never be moved.'
7 ৭ সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার অনুগ্রহের দ্বারা তুমি একটি শক্তিশালী পর্বত হিসাবে আমাকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করো; কিন্তু যখন তুমি তোমার মুখ লুকাও, আমি অস্হির হই।
Thou hadst established, O LORD, in Thy favour my mountain as a stronghold — Thou didst hide Thy face; I was affrighted.
Unto Thee, O LORD, did I call, and unto the LORD I made supplication:
9 ৯ যদি আমি কবরে যাই, আমার মৃত্যুতে কি লাভ? ধূলো কি তোমার প্রশংসা করবে? এটা কি তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা ঘোষণা করবে?
'What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise Thee? shall it declare Thy truth?
Hear, O LORD, and be gracious unto me; LORD, be Thou my helper.'
Thou didst turn for me my mourning into dancing; Thou didst loose my sackcloth, and gird me with gladness;
12 ১২ তাই এখন আমার গৌরবের হৃদয় তোমার প্রশংসা গান করে এবং নীরব থাকে না; সদাপ্রভুু, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি চিরকাল তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ দেব।
So that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent; O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever.
