গীতসংহিতা 12

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর, শমীনীৎ। দায়ূদের একটি গীত। সদাপ্রভুু, সাহায্য কর, কারণ ধার্ম্মিকেরা অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেছে; বিশ্বস্তরা বিলুপ্ত হয়ে গেছে।

For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 ২ সবাই তার প্রতিবেশীকে অনর্থক কথা বলে; যারা দুমনা ও তোষামোদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে।

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু, তোষামোদকারীদের, প্রত্যেক জিভ যারা বড় কথা বলে তাদের উচ্ছিন্ন করবেন।

The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh great things:

4 ৪ এরা তারা যারা বলে, “আমাদের জিহ্বা দিয়ে আমরা জয়ী হব, যখন আমাদের মুখ কথা বলবে, কে আমাদের উপর প্রভুত্ব করতে পারে?”

Who have said, with our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 ৫ সদাপ্রভুু বলেন, দরিদ্রের বিরুদ্ধে হিংস্রতার কারণে, অভাবগ্রস্তদের গভীর আর্তনাদের কারণে, আমি উঠব, আমি তাদের নিরাপত্তা প্রদান করব কারণ যার জন্য তারা আকাঙ্খা করে।

For the spoiling of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety at whom they puff.

6 ৬ সদাপ্রভুুর বাক্য বিশুদ্ধ বাক্য, মাটির ধাতু গলানোর পাত্রে শুদ্ধ করা রূপার মত, সাত বার পরিশোধিত।

The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace on the earth, purified seven times.

7 ৭ তুমি সদাপ্রভুু, তুমি আমাদের রক্ষা কর এবং সবদিন এই দুষ্ট প্রজন্ম থেকে আমাদের রক্ষা করবে।

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 ৮ দুষ্টরা চারিদিকে ঘুরে বেড়ায়, যখন মানুষের সন্তানদের মধ্যে মন্দতা সম্মানিত হয়।

The wicked walk on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
