মথি 9
1 ১ পরে তিনি নৌকায় উঠে পার হলেন এবং নিজের শহরে এলেন। আর দেখ, কয়েকটি লোক তাঁর কাছে একজন পক্ষাঘাতীকে আনল, সে খাটের উপরে শোয়ানো ছিল।
And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
And look, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, cheer up. Your sins are forgiven."
And look, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man blasphemes."
But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?
For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Get up, and walk?'
6 ৬ কিন্তু পৃথিবীতে পাপ ক্ষমা করতে মনুষ্যপুত্রের অধিকার আছে, এটা যেন তোমরা জানতে পার,” এই জন্য তিনি সেই পক্ষাঘাতীকে বললেন “ওঠ, তোমার বিছানা তুলে নাও এবং তোমার ঘরে চলে যাও।”
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." (then he said to the paralytic), "Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house."
And he arose and departed to his house.
Now when the crowds saw it, they were afraid and glorified God who had given such authority to men.
9 ৯ সেই জায়গা থেকে যেতে যেতে যীশু দেখলেন, মথি নামে এক ব্যক্তি কর আদায়ের জায়গায় বসে আছে; তিনি তাঁকে বললেন, “আমার সঙ্গে এস।” তাতে তিনি উঠে তাঁর সঙ্গে চলে গেলেন।
And as Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him.
10 ১০ পরে তিনি যখন মথির ঘরের মধ্যে খাবার খেতে বসলেন, আর অনেক কর আদায়কারী ও পাপী মানুষ এসে যীশুর এবং তাঁর শিষ্যদের খাবার খেতে বসল।
And it happened as he sat in the house, look, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
12 ১২ যীশু তা শুনে তাদেরকে বললেন, সুস্থ লোকদের ডাক্তার দেখাবার দরকার নেই, কিন্তু অসুস্থদের প্রয়োজন আছে।
When he heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
13 ১৩ কিন্তু তোমরা গিয়ে শেখো, এই কথার মানে কি, “আমি দয়াই চাই, বলিদান নয়”; কারণ আমি ধার্ম্মিকদের নয়, কিন্তু পাপীদেরকে ডাকতে এসেছি।
But you go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
14 ১৪ তখন যোহনের শিষ্যরা তাঁর কাছে এসে বলল, “ফরীশীরা ও আমরা অনেকবার উপবাস করি, কিন্তু আপনার শিষ্যরা উপবাস করে না, এর কারণ কি?”
Then John's disciples came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
15 ১৫ যীশু তাদের বললেন, “বর সঙ্গে থাকতে কি লোকে দুঃখ করতে পারে?” কিন্তু এমন দিন আসবে, যখন তাদের কাছ থেকে বর চলে যাবেন; তখন তারা উপবাস করবে।
And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
16 ১৬ পুরাতন কাপড়ে কেউ নতুন কাপড়ের তালী দেয় না, কারণ তার তালীতে কাপড় ছিঁড়ে যায় এবং ছেঁড়াটা আরও বড় হয়।
And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
17 ১৭ আর লোকে পুরাতন চামড়ার থলিতে নতুন আঙুরের রস রাখে না; রাখলে চামড়ার থলিগুলি ফেটে যায়, তাতে দ্রাক্ষারস পড়ে যায়, চামড়ার থলিগুলিও নষ্ট হয়; না, কিন্তু লোকে নূতন চামড়ার থলিতে টাটকা দ্রাক্ষারস রাখে, তাতে উভয়েরই রক্ষা হয়।
Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine pours out, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
18 ১৮ যীশু তাদের এই সব কথা বলছেন, আর দেখ, একজন তত্ত্বাবধায়ক এসে তাঁকে প্রণাম করে বললেন, আমার মেয়েটি এতক্ষনে মারা গিয়েছে; কিন্তু আপনি এসে তার উপরে হাত রাখুন, তাতে সে জীবিত হবে।
While he told these things to them, look, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
And Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
20 ২০ আর দেখ, বারো বছর ধরে রক্তস্রাব রোগগ্রস্ত একটি স্ত্রীলোক তাঁর পিছন দিক থাকে এসে তাঁর পোশাকের ঝালর স্পর্শ করল;
And look, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
for she said within herself, "If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."
22 ২২ তখন যীশু মুখ ফিরিয়ে তাকে দেখে বললেন, বৎসে, সাহস কর, তোমার বিশ্বাস তোমাকে সুস্থ করল। সেই দিনে স্ত্রীলোকটী সুস্থ হল।
But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
he said, "Go away, for the girl is not dead, but asleep." And they laughed at him.
But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
And the report of this went out into all that land.
27 ২৭ পরে যীশু সেখান থেকে প্রস্থান করছিলেন, দুই জন অন্ধ তাঁকে অনুসরণ করছিল; তারা চেঁচিয়ে বলতে লাগল, “হে দায়ূদ-সন্তান, আমাদের প্রতি দয়া করুন।”
And as Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, "Have mercy on us, son of David."
28 ২৮ তিনি ঘরের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করলে পর সেই অন্ধেরা তাঁর কাছে এলো; তখন যীশু তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা কি বিশ্বাস কর যে, আমি এটা করতে পারি?” তারা তাঁকে বলল, “হ্যাঁ প্রভু।”
And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They told him, "Yes, Lord."
Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you."
30 ৩০ তখন তাদের চোখ খুলে গেল। আর যীশু তাদের দৃঢ়ভাবে নিষেধ করে দিলেন, বললেন, “দেখ, যেন কেউ এটা জানতে না পায়।”
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, "See that no one knows about this."
But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
And as they went out, look, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
33 ৩৩ ভূত ছাড়ানো হলে সেই বোবা কথা বলতে লাগল; তখন সব লোক অবাক হয়ে বলল, “ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে এমন কখনও দেখা যায়নি।”
And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."
But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons."
35 ৩৫ আর যীশু সব নগর ও গ্রামে ঘুরে বেড়াতে লাগলেন; তিনি লোকদের সমাজঘরে উপদেশ দিলেন ও রাজ্যের সুসমাচার প্রচার করলেন এবং সব রকম রোগ ও সব রকম অসুখ থেকে সুস্থ করলেন।
And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.
36 ৩৬ কিন্তু প্রচুর লোক দেখে তাদের প্রতি যীশুর করুণা হল, কারণ তারা ব্যাকুল হয়ে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে ছিল, যেন পালকহীন মেষপাল।
But when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."
