1 ১ ইলীহূ কথা বলতে থাকলেন এবং বললেন,

And Elihu adds and says:

2 ২ “আমাকে একটু বেশি দিন কথা বলার অনুমতি দিন এবং আমি আপনাকে কিছু দেখাব কারণ ঈশ্বরের পক্ষে আমার আরও কিছু বলার আছে।

“Honor me a little, and I show you, That yet for God [are] words.

3 ৩ আমি আমার জ্ঞান দূর থেকে সংগ্রহ করব; আমি আমার সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তার যে ধার্ম্মিকতা তা স্বীকার করব।

I lift up my knowledge from afar, And I ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

4 ৪ কারণ সত্যি, আমার কথা মিথ্যা নয়; একজন যে জ্ঞানে সিদ্ধ আপনার সঙ্গে আছেন।

For my words [are] truly not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with you.

5 ৫ দেখুন, ঈশ্বর পরাক্রমী এবং কাউকে তুচ্ছ করেন না; তিনি বুদ্ধি শক্তিতে পরাক্রমী।

Behold, God [is] mighty, and does not despise, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.

6 ৬ তিনি পাপীদের জীবন রক্ষা করেন না, কিন্তু পরিবর্তে যারা কষ্ট পাছে তাদের জন্য ন্যায়বিচার করেন।

He does not revive the wicked, And appoints the judgment of the poor;

7 ৭ তিনি ধার্ম্মিকদের থেকে তাঁর চোখ সরান না, কিন্তু পরিবর্তে ধার্ম্মিককে রাজার মত চিরকালের জন্য সিংহাসনে বসান এবং তাদের উন্নতি হয়।

He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous, And [from] kings on the throne, And causes them to sit forever, and they are high,

8 ৮ যাইহোক, যদি তারা শিকলে বদ্ধ হয়, যদি তারা কষ্টের দড়িতে ধরা পরে,

And if prisoners in chains They are captured with cords of affliction,

9 ৯ তবে তিনি তাদের কাছে প্রকাশ করবেন তারা কি করছে তাদের পাপ এবং তারা কীভাবে অহঙ্কারের সাথে আচরণ করেছে।

Then He declares to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,

10 ১০ তিনি আবার তাদের কান খুলে দেন তাঁর নির্দেশের জন্য এবং তিনি তাদের পাপ থেকে ফিরতে আদেশ দেন।

And He uncovers their ear for instruction, And commands that they turn back from iniquity.

11 ১১ যদি তারা তাঁর কথা শোনেন এবং তাঁর উপাসনা করেন, তবে তারা তাদের দিন গুলো সুখে কাটাবে, তাদের বছরগুলো তৃপ্তিতে কাটবে।

If they hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.

12 ১২ যাইহোক, যদি তারা না শোনে, তারা তলোয়ারের দ্বারা ধ্বংস হবে; তারা মরবে কারণ তাদের জ্ঞান নেই।

And if they do not listen, They pass away by the dart, And expire without knowledge.

13 ১৩ যারা হৃদয়ে অধার্মিক অর্থাৎ ঈশ্বরে বিশ্বাস করে না, তারা ক্রোধ সঞ্চয় করছে; এমনকি যখন ঈশ্বর তাদের বাঁধেন তখনও তারা সাহায্যের জন্য চিত্কার করে না।

And the profane in heart set the face, They do not cry when He has bound them.

14 ১৪ তারা যুবক অবস্থায় মারা যায়; তাদের জীবন অপমানে শেষ হয়।

Their soul dies in youth, And their life among the defiled.

15 ১৫ ঈশ্বর দুঃখীদের তাদের দুঃখ দ্বারাই উদ্ধার করেন; তিনি তাদের উপদ্রবে তাদের কান খোলেন।

He draws out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovers their ear in oppression.

16 ১৬ সত্যি, তিনি আপনাকে যন্ত্রণা থেকে এক উন্মুক্ত জায়গায় বের করে আনতে চান যেখানে কোন কষ্ট থাকবে না এবং যেখানে আপনার মেজ চর্বিযুক্ত খাবারে পূর্ণ থাকবে।

And He also moved you from a narrow place [To] a broad place—no constriction under it, And the sitting beyond of your table has been full of fatness.

17 ১৭ কিন্তু আপনি পাপীদের বিচারে পূর্ণ; বিচার এবং ন্যায় আপনাকে ধরেছে।

And you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked, Judgment and justice are upheld because of fury,

18 ১৮ ধনসম্পদ যেন আপনাকে আকৃষ্ট না করে ঠকানোর জন্য; যেন ঘুষ আপনাকে ন্যায়বিচার থেকে সরিয়ে না নিয়ে যায়।

Lest He move you with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement not turn you aside.

19 ১৯ আপনার সম্পদ কি আপনাকে লাভবান করতে পারে, যাতে আপনি দুঃখে না থাকেন, অথবা আপনার সমস্ত শক্তি কি আপনাকে সাহায্য করতে পারে?

Does He value your riches? He has gold, and all the forces of power.

20 ২০ রাতের আকাঙ্খা করবেন না, অন্যের বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করার জন্য, যখন মানুষেরা নিজেদের জায়গায় মারা যায়।

Do not desire the night, For the going up of peoples in their stead.

21 ২১ সাবধান পাপের দিকে ফিরবেন না, কারণ আপনি কষ্টে পরীক্ষিত হয়েছেন যাতে আপনি পাপ থেকে দূরে থাকেন।

Take heed—do not turn to iniquity, For you have fixed on this Rather than [on] affliction.

22 ২২ দেখুন, ঈশ্বর তাঁর শক্তিতে মোহিমান্বিত; তাঁর মত শিক্ষক কে?

Behold, God sits on high by His power, Who [is] like Him—a teacher?

23 ২৩ কে কবে তাঁর পথের বিষয়ে তাঁকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে? কে কবে তাঁকে বলেছে, তুমি মন্দ করেছ?

Who has appointed to Him His way? And who said, You have done iniquity?

24 ২৪ তাঁর কাজের গৌরব করতে ভুলবেন না, যে বিষয়ে লোকেরা গান গেয়েছে।

Remember that you magnify His work That men have beheld.

25 ২৫ সমস্ত লোকেরা সেই সকল কাজ দেখেছে, কিন্তু তারা সেই সকল কাজ দূর থেকে দেখেছে।

All men have looked on it, Man looks attentively from afar.

26 ২৬ দেখুন, ঈশ্বর মহান, কিন্তু আমরা তাঁকে ভাল করে বুঝতে পারি না; তাঁর বছর সংখ্যা অগণনীয়।

Behold, God [is] high, And we do not know the number of His years, Indeed, there [is] no searching.

27 ২৭ কারণ তিনি জল বিন্দু আকর্ষণ করেন যা তাঁর বাস্প থেকে বৃষ্টির মত চুয়ে পড়ে,

When He diminishes droppings of the waters, They refine rain according to its vapor,

28 ২৮ যা মেঘেরা ঢেলে দেয় এবং প্রচুররূপে মানুষের ওপরে পড়ে।

Which clouds drop, They distill on man abundantly.

29 ২৯ সত্যি, কেউ কি মেঘেদের ব্যপক বিস্তার বুঝতে পারে এবং কেউ কি মেঘের গর্জন বুঝতে পারে?

Indeed, do [any] understand The spreadings out of a cloud? The noises of His dwelling place?

30 ৩০ দেখুন, তিনি তাঁর বিদ্যুতের ঝলক তাঁর চারিদিকে ছড়িয়েছেন; তিনি সমুদ্রকে অন্ধকারে ঢেকেছেন।

Behold, He has spread His light over it, And He has covered the roots of the sea,

31 ৩১ এই ভাবে তিনি লোকেদের শাসন করেন এবং প্রচুররূপে খাবার দেন।

For He judges peoples by them, He gives food in abundance.

32 ৩২ তিনি তাঁর হাত বজ্রে পূর্ণ করেন এবং তাদের আদেশ দেন লক্ষে আঘাত করতে।

By two palms He has covered the light, And lays a charge over it in meeting,

33 ৩৩ তাদের আওয়াজ লোকেদেরকে বলে দেয় ঝড় আসার কথা; গবাদি পশুও তার আসার বিষয়ে জানে।”

His shout shows it, The livestock also, the rising [storm].”
