1 ১ আমার আত্মা শেষ হয়েছে এবং আমার আয়ু শেষ; আমার কবর আমার জন্য তৈরী।

My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.

2 ২ অবশ্যই সেখানে আমার সঙ্গে উপহসকেরা থাকবে; আমার চোখ সবদিন তাদের প্ররোচনা দেখবে।

[Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?

3 ৩ “এখন একটা অঙ্গীকার কর, নিজের কাছে আমার জন্য জামিনদার হও; আর কে আছে যে আমায় সাহায্য করবে?

Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?

4 ৪ তোমার জন্য, ঈশ্বর, তাদের হৃদয়কে বুদ্ধি থেকে দূরে রেখেছেন; এই জন্য, তুমি আমার উপরে তাদের প্রশংসা করবে না।

For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].

5 ৫ যে ব্যক্তি পুরষ্কারের জন্য নিজের বন্ধুর নিন্দা করে, তার সন্তানদের চোখ অন্ধ হবে।

He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

6 ৬ কিন্তু তিনি আমাকে লোকেদের কাছে লোককথা করেছেন; তারা আমার মুখে থুতু দেয়।

He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.

7 ৭ আমার চোখ দুঃখে ক্ষীণ হয়েছে; আমার শরীরের সমস্ত অংশ ছায়ার মত হয়েছে।

My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.

8 ৮ সৎ লোক এর দ্বারা স্তব্ধ হয়ে যাবে; নির্দোষ লোক অধার্মিকদের বিরুদ্ধে উত্তেজিত হয়ে উঠবে।

Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

9 ৯ ধার্মিক লোক নিজের পথে চলবে; যে ব্যক্তি হাত পরিষ্কার করে সে দিন দিন শক্তিতে বৃদ্ধি পাবে।

The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

10 ১০ কিন্তু তোমরা সকলে, এখন এস; আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে কোন জ্ঞানী মানুষ পাব না।

But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.

11 ১১ আমার আয়ুর দিন শেষ, আমার পরিকল্পনা শেষ, এমনকি আমার হৃদয়ের ইচ্ছা গুলো শেষ।

My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.

12 ১২ এই লোকেরা, এই উপহসকেরা, রাতকে দিনের পরিবতন করে; সেই আলোকে, তারা বলে, তা অন্ধকারের কাছে।

They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.

13 ১৩ যেহেতু আমি পাতালকে আমার ঘর হিসাবে দেখি; যেহেতু আমি আমার খাট অন্ধকারে পাতি; (Sheol h7585)

If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol h7585)

14 ১৪ যেহেতু আমি দুর্নীতিকে বলি, তুমি আমার বাবা এবং পোকাকে বলি, তুমি আমার মা, বা আমার বোন;

I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.

15 ১৫ তাহলে আমার আশা কোথায়? আমার আশার বিষয়ে, কে দেখতে পায়?

And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?

16 ১৬ আশা কি আমার সঙ্গে নিচে পাতালের দরজায় যাবে যখন আমরা ধূলোয় নামি?” (Sheol h7585)

They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when [our] rest together [is] in the dust. (Sheol h7585)
