The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin,
2 ২ যিহূদার রাজা আমোনের ছেলে যোশিয়ের রাজত্বের তেরো বছরের দিন সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য যার কাছে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল।
to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 ৩ যোশিয়ের ছেলে যিহূদার রাজা যিহোয়াকীমের রাজত্বের দিনে, যোশিয়ের ছেলে যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয়ের এগারো বছরের রাজত্বের পঞ্চম মাসে যিরূশালেমের লোকদের বন্দী করে নিয়ে যাওয়ার দিনের ও সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আবার উপস্থিত হয়েছিল।
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away captive of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
Now the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
5 ৫ “তোমাকে গর্ভে গঠন করার আগেই আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছি এবং তুমি গর্ভ থেকে বেরোনোর আগেই আমি তোমাকে পবিত্র করেছি। আমি জাতিদের কাছে তোমাকে ভাববাদী হিসাবে নিযুক্ত করেছি।”
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee. I have appointed thee a prophet to the nations.
Then I said, Ah, lord Jehovah! Behold, I know not how to speak, for I am a child.
7 ৭ কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আমাকে বললেন, “তুমি বোলো না, ‘আমি খুব ছোট’। তুমি অবশ্যই যাবে যেখানে আমি তোমাকে পাঠাব এবং আমি যা আদেশ করব তুমি তাই বলবে।
But Jehovah said to me, Say not, I am a child. For to whomever I shall send thee thou shall go, and whatever I shall command thee thou shall speak.
Be not afraid because of them, for I am with thee to deliver thee, says Jehovah.
9 ৯ তারপর সদাপ্রভু তাঁর হাত বাড়িয়ে আমার মুখ স্পর্শ করলেন এবং আমাকে বললেন, “এখন, আমি আমার বাক্য তোমার মুখে দিলাম।
Then Jehovah put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 ১০ আজ আমি তোমাকে জাতি ও রাজ্যগুলির উপরে, উপড়িয়ে ফেলতে, ভেঙে ফেলতে, ধ্বংস এবং সর্বনাশ করতে, নির্মাণ ও রোপণ করতে নিযুক্ত করলাম।”
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.
11 ১১ সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল: “তুমি কি দেখছ, যিরমিয়?” আমি বললাম, “আমি বাদাম গাছের একটা ডাল দেখছি।”
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do thou see? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Then Jehovah said to me, Thou have well seen. For I watch over my word to perform it.
13 ১৩ সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে দ্বিতীয় বার উপস্থিত হল এবং তিনি বললেন, “তুমি কি দেখছ?” আমি বললাম, “আমি একটি ফুটন্ত পাত্র দেখতে পাচ্ছি, যেটি উত্তর দিক থেকে হেলে আছে।”
And the word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, What do thou see? And I said, I see a boiling caldron, and the face of it is from the north.
Then Jehovah said to me, Out of the north evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 ১৫ কারণ আমি উত্তর দিকের রাজ্যগুলির সমস্ত গোষ্ঠীকে ডাকছি,” সদাপ্রভু ঘোষণা করেন। “তারা আসবে এবং যিরূশালেমের প্রবেশপথের ফটকগুলিতে, তার চারপাশের সমস্ত দেয়ালের সামনে এবং যিহূদার সমস্ত শহরগুলির সামনে প্রত্যেকে নিজের সিংহাসন স্থাপন করবে।
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says Jehovah. And they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls of it round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 ১৬ আমি তাদের সমস্ত মন্দতার জন্য তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আমার বিচার ঘোষণা করব, তারা আমাকে ত্যাগ করেছে, তারা অন্য দেবতাদের উদ্দেশ্যে ধূপ জ্বালিয়েছে এবং নিজেদের হাতের তৈরী বস্তুর আরাধনা করেছে।
And I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
17 ১৭ নিজেকে প্রস্তুত কোরো! উঠে দাঁড়াও এবং আমি তোমাকে যা আদেশ করি তা তুমি তাদের বল। তাদের সামনে ভেঙে পোড়ো না, নাহলে আমি তাদের সামনে তোমাকে ধ্বংস করব!
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak to them all that I command thee. Be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.
18 ১৮ আর দেখ! আজ আমি তোমাকে সমস্ত দেশের বিরুদ্ধে, যিহূদার রাজাদের, তার শাসনকর্ত্তাদের, তার যাজকদের ও দেশের লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে একটি সুরক্ষিত শহর, একটি লোহার থাম ও একটি ব্রোঞ্জের দেয়ালের মত বানালাম।
For, behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the rulers of it, against the priests of it, and against the people of the land.
19 ১৯ তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবে, কিন্তু তারা তোমাকে হারাতে পারবে না, কারণ তোমাকে উদ্ধার করার জন্য আমি তোমার সঙ্গে থাকব,” সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।
And they shall fight against thee. But they shall not prevail against thee, for I am with thee, says Jehovah, to deliver thee.
