বংশাবলির প্রথম খণ্ড 13
Forsothe Dauid took counsel with tribunes, and centuriouns, and alle princes;
2 ২ তারপর তিনি ইস্রায়েলীয়দের গোটা দলটাকে বললেন, “আপনারা যদি ভাল মনে করেন আর এটাই যদি আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর থেকে হচ্ছে তবে আসুন, আমরা ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত এলাকায় আমাদের বাদবাকী ভাইদের কাছে ও তাদের সঙ্গে যে সব যাজক ও লেবীয়েরা তাদের নগরে আছে তাদের কাছে খবর পাঠিয়ে দিই যেন তারা এসে আমাদের কাছে একত্র হয়।
and seide to alle the cumpeny of the sones of Israel, If it plesith you, and if the word which Y speke goith out fro oure Lord God, sende we to `oure residue britheren to alle the cuntrees of Israel, and to preestis and dekenes that dwellen in the subarbis of citees, that thei be gaderid to vs,
3 ৩ আসুন, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষ্য সিন্দুকটি আমাদের কাছে ফিরিয়ে আনি; শৌলের রাজত্বকালে আমরা তো সিন্দুকটির দিকে কোন মনোযোগ দিইনি।”
and that we brynge ayen to vs the arke of oure God; for we souyten not it in the daies of Saul.
And al the multitude answeride, that it schulde be don so; for the word pleside al the puple.
5 ৫ কাজেই কিরিয়ৎ যিয়ারীম থেকে ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুক নিয়ে আসবার জন্য দায়ূদ মিশরের সীহোর নদী থেকে হমাতের সীমা পর্যন্ত সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়দের একত্র করলেন।
Therfor Dauid gaderide togidere al Israel, fro Sior of Egipt til thou entre in to Emath, that he schulde brynge the arke of God fro Cariathiarim.
6 ৬ যিহূদা দেশের বালা, অর্থাৎ কিরিয়ৎ যিয়ারীম থেকে ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সিন্দুকটি নিয়ে আসবার জন্য দায়ূদ ও তাঁর সঙ্গে সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা সেখানে গেলেন। এই সিন্দুকটি সদাপ্রভুর নামে পরিচিত, কারণ তিনি সেখানে করূবদের মাঝখানে থাকেন।
And Dauid stiede, and alle the men of Israel, to the hil of Cariathiarym, which is in Juda, that he schulde brynge fro thennus the arke of the Lord God sittynge on cherubyn, where his name was clepid.
7 ৭ লোকেরা অবীনাদবের বাড়ি থেকে ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুকটি বের করে একটা নতুন গাড়ির উপরে বসিয়ে নিয়ে চলল। উষঃ ও অহিয়ো সেই গাড়িটা চালাচ্ছিল,
And thei puttiden the arke of the Lord God on a newe wayn fro the hous of Amynadab; forsothe Oza and hise britheren driueden the wayn.
8 ৮ আর দায়ূদ ও সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তাঁদের সমস্ত শক্তি দিয়ে গান গাইছিলেন এবং সুরবাহার, বীণা, খঞ্জনী, করতাল ও তূরী বাজাচ্ছিলেন।
Forsothe Dauid and al Israel pleieden bifor the Lord, with al miyt, in songis, and in harpis, and sautries, and tympans, and cymbalis, and trumpis.
Forsothe whanne thei hadden come to the cornfloor of Chidon, Oza strechide forth his hond to susteyne the arke; for the oxe wexynge wielde hadde bowid it a litil.
10 ১০ এতে উষের উপর সদাপ্রভু ক্রোধে জ্বলে উঠলেন। সিন্দুকে হাত দেওয়ার দরুন তিনি তাকে আঘাত করলেন। এতে সে ঈশ্বরের সামনেই সেখানে মারা গেল।
Therfor the Lord was wrooth ayens Oza, and smoot hym, for he hadde touchide the ark; and he was deed there bifor the Lord.
11 ১১ উষের উপর সদাপ্রভুর এই ক্রোধ দেখে দায়ূদ অসন্তুষ্ট হলেন। আর সেই জায়গাটার নাম পেরষ উষঃ [উষঃ আক্রমণ] রাখলেন; আজও সেই নাম প্রচলিত আছে।
And Dauid was sori, for the Lord hadde departid Oza; and he clepide that place The Departyng of Oza `til in to present dai.
12 ১২ দায়ূদ সেই দিন ঈশ্বরকে খুব ভয় পেলেন। আর তিনি বললেন, “ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুকটি তবে কি করে আমার কাছে আনা যাবে?”
And Dauid dredde the Lord in that tyme, and seide, How may Y brynge in to me the arke of the Lord?
13 ১৩ সিন্দুকটি তিনি দায়ূদ শহরে নিজের কাছে নিয়ে গেলেন না, তিনি সেটি নিয়ে গাতীয় ওবেদ ইদোমের বাড়িতে রাখলেন।
And for this cause he brouyte not it to hym, that is, in to the citee of Dauid, but he turnede it in to the hows of Obededom of Geth.
14 ১৪ ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুকটি তিন মাস ওবেদ ইদোমের বাড়িতে তার পরিবারের কাছে থাকল; এতে সদাপ্রভু তার পরিবারকে ও তার সব কিছুকে আশীর্বাদ করলেন।
Therfor the arke of God dwellide in the hous of Obededom of Geth thre monethis; and the Lord blessid his hows, and `alle thingis that he hadde.
