The word of the Lord which came to Sophonias the son of Chusi, the son of Godolias, the son of Amorias, the son of Ezekias, in the days of Josias son of Amon, king of Juda.
2 Hina Gode da amane sia: i, “Na da osobo bagadega esalebe liligi huluane gugunufinisisimu.
Let there be an utter cutting off from the face of the land, says the Lord.
3 Na da dunu fi huluane, ohe fi, sio amola menabo huluane wadela: lesimu. Wadela: i hamosu dunu huluane dafama: ne, Na da wadela: lesimu. Na da dunu fi huluane wadela: lesisia, dunu afae esalebe da hame ba: mu. Na, Hina Gode, da sia: i dagoi.
Let man and cattle be cut off; let the birds of the air and the fishes of the sea be cut off; and the ungodly shall fail, and I will take away the transgressors from the face of the land, says the Lord.

And I will stretch out mine hand upon Juda, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will remove the names of Baal out of this place, and the names of the priests;

and them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and swear by the Lord, and them that swear by their king;

Fear you before the Lord God; for the day of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared his sacrifice, and has sanctified his guests.
8 Hina Gode da amane sia: sa, “Amo medole legesu esoga, Na da eagene hawa: hamosu dunu, amola hina bagade ea mano, amola nowa da ga fi ilia sia: ne gadosu hou hamonana, amo huluane ilima se imunu.
And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord's sacrifice, that I will take vengeance on the princes, and on the king's house, and upon all that wear strange apparel.
9 Na da nowa dunu da hame lalegagui agoane nodone sia: ne gadosa, amola ilia ouligisu dunu ea diasu wamolai liligi amoga nabama: ne wamolasa amola medole legesa, amo dunu huluane ilima Na da se bagade imunu.
And I will openly take vengeance on the porches in that day, [on the men] that fill the house of the Lord their God with ungodliness and deceit.
10 Hina Gode da amane sia: sa, “Amo esoga dilia da Yelusaleme moilai bai bagade Menabo Logo Ga: su amoga dibi sia: bagade nabimu. Yelusaleme moilai bai bagade gaheabolo la: idiga, dilia da didigia: su nabimu. Amola agolo damana agolo agebe ea ga: defele nabimu.
And there shall be in that day, says the Lord, the sound of a cry from the gate of men slaying, and a howling from the second [gate], and a great crashing from the hills.
11 Amo nabasea, dilia moilai bai bagade hagudu la: idi esalebe dunu, didiga: ma amola dima! Bai dilia bidi lasu dunu huluane da bogogia: i dagoi.
Lament, you that inhabit the [city] that has been broken down, for all the people has become like Chanaan; and all that were exalted by silver have been utterly destroyed.
12 Amasea, amo esoga, Na da gamali lale, Yelusaleme ganodini hogomu. Nowa dunu da hahawane hi hou da defele dawa: lebe, amola ilisu da, ‘Hina Gode da hamedei. E da hawa: hamomu hame dawa: ,’ amane sia: sa, amo huluanema Na da se imunu.
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will search Jerusalem with a candle, and will take vengeance on the men that despise the things committed to them; but they say in their hearts, The Lord will not do any good, neither will he do any evil.
13 Ilia gagui liligi wamolai dagoi ba: mu, amola ilia diasu wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu. Ilia da diasu ili gagubi amoga hamedafa fifi ahoanumu, amola ilia waini efe sagabe amo ea waini hano hamedafa nanamu.”
And their power shall be for a spoil, and their houses for utter desolation; and they shall build houses, but shall not dwell in them; and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine of them.
14 Hina Gode Ea eso bagade da doaga: mu gadenesa. Amola gadeneidafa amola hedolowane doaga: mu. Amo eso da se nabasu bagadedafa ba: mu. Amola nimi bagade dadi gagui dunu da lobo healeiba: le, didigia: mu.
For the great day of the Lord [is] near, [it is] near, and very speedy; the sound of the day of the Lord is made bitter and harsh.

A mighty day of wrath is that day, a day of affliction and distress, a day of desolation and destruction, a day of gloominess and darkness, a day of cloud and vapour,

a day of the trumpet and cry against the strong cities, and against the high towers.
17 Hina Gode da amane sia: sa, “Na da se nabasu bagadedafa dunu fifi asi gala huluane ilima imunu. Amaiba: le, ilia da si dofoi dunu agoane ahoanumu. Ilia da Nama wadela: le hamoiba: le, ilia maga: me da hano agoane sogadigimu, amola ilia bogogia: le, ilia da: i hodo da udigili osoboga dasagia: ma: ne dialumu.”
And I will greatly afflict the men, and they shall walk as blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; therefore he shall pour out their blood as dust, and their flesh as dung.
18 Amo esoha, Hina Gode da Ea ougi bagade hou olelesea, ilia silifa amola gouli gagui amo da ili hame gaga: mu. Osobo bagade huluane da Gode Ea ougi lalu agoane amoga wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu. E da hedolodafa dunu huluane osobo bagade amoga esalebe, amo ilia esalusu dagolesimu.
And their silver and their gold shall in nowise be able to rescue them in the day of the Lord's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealously; for he will bring a speedy destruction on all them that inhabit the land.
