2 Na da da: i dioi bagade. Na dogo ganodini mae yolesili se naba.
how terribly sad I am, how I have never-ending pain in my heart,
3 Bai na da na osobo bagade fi dunu amo dawa: beba: le, se naba. Amo hou da na fi fidimu ganiaba, na da Godema gagabusu aligi amola Gelesu amoma afafae hame higala: loba.
for my own people, my brothers and sisters. I would rather be cursed myself, separated from Christ, if that would help them.
4 Ilia da Gode Ea fi dunu esala. E da ili amo Ea mano hamone, Ea hadigi ili ba: ma: ne ilima olelei. E da ilima Ea gousa: su hou olelei amola ilima Sema i dagoi, Ilia da sia: ne gadosu houdafa dawa: Gode Ea hahawane dogolegele iasu ilegele sia: i liligi huluane da ilima doaga: i dagoi.
They are my fellow-Israelites, God's chosen people. God revealed to them his glory and made agreements with them, giving them the law, true worship, and his promises.
5 Ilia da musa: Hibulu siba fi dunu bagade amo ilia mano esala. Yesu Gelesu da osobo bagade dunu ea da: i hodo lale, ilia fi amo ganodini lalelegei. Gode da liligi huluane amoma ouligisuwane esalebeba: le, Ema eso huluane nodonanumu da defea. Ama. (aiōn g165)
They are our forefathers—ancestors of Christ, humanly-speaking, the one who rules over everything, the eternally-blessed God. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Gode Ea fi dunuma hahawane dogolegele imunu ilegele sia: i, - amo da yolesi dagoi na da hame sia: sa. Isala: ili dunu mogili da Gode Ea fi dunu, mogili da Gode Ea fi dunu hame.
It's not that God's promise has failed. For not every Israelite is a true Israelite,
7 Amola A: ibalaha: me ea fi dunu mogili ilia da Gode Ea mano hame. Gode da A: ibalaha: mema amane sia: i, “Aisage ea mano lalelegesea, amo fawane da digaga manodafa fi Na da dima ilegele sia: i defele, esalumu.”
and all those who are descended from Abraham are not his true children. For Scripture says, “Your descendants will be counted through Isaac,”
8 Bai agoane diala. Mano da osobo bagade dunu ilia hou defele lalelegesea da Gode Ea mano hame. Be Gode Ea hahawane dogolegele ilegele sia: beba: le lalelegei mano, ilia fawane da Gode Egaga fidafa.
so it's not Abraham's actual children who are counted as God's children, but only those children of God's promise who are considered his true descendants.
9 Gode da hahawane dogolegele iasu imunusa: amane ilegele sia: i, “Na eso ilegei amoga Na da bu masea, Sela da dunu mano lalelegemu.”
This is what the promise was: “I will return next year and Sarah will have a son.”
10 Be amo fawane hame. Lebega ea dunu mano aduna da eda afadafa fawane esalu. Elea eda da ninia aowa Aisage esalu.
In addition Rebecca's twin sons had the same father, our forefather Isaac.
But even before the children were born, and before they'd done anything right or wrong, (so that God's purpose could continue, proving God's calling of people is not based on human performance),

she was told, “The older brother will serve the younger one.”
13 Amo defele Gode Sia: da agoane dedei diala, “Na Ya: igobema asigiba: le ilegei. Be Na da Iso hame hanaiba: le yolesi dagoi.
As Scripture says, “I chose Jacob, but rejected Esau.”
14 Amaiba: le Gode Ea hou da defele hame, moloi hame, amo ninia da sia: ma: bela: ? Hame mabu!
So what should we conclude? That God was unjust? Certainly not!
15 Gode da Mousesema amane sia: i, “Nowa dunuma Na da gogolema: ne olofomusa: dawa: sea, Na da ea hou gogolema: ne olofomu. Nowa dunuma Na asigimu dawa: sea, Na da ema asigimu.”
As he said to Moses, “I will be merciful to whoever I should show mercy, and I will have compassion on whoever I should show compassion.”
16 Amaiba: le, hou huluane bai da dunu ilia hanaiba: le o hawa: hamobeba: le hame, be bai da Gode Ea hanaiba: le gogolema: ne olofosu hou fawane ba: sa.
So it does not depend on what we want, or our own efforts, but the merciful nature of God.
17 Gode Sia: da agoane dedei diala, “Gode da Idibidi Ouligisu dunuma amane sia: i, ‘Na gasa olelema: ne amola osobo bagade fifi asi gala dunu huluane Na hou dawa: ma: ne, Na da di Idibidi ouligisu ilegei dagoi!’”
Scripture records God saying to Pharaoh: “I put you here for a reason—so that through you I could demonstrate my power, and so that my name could be made known throughout the earth.”
18 Amaiba: le, Gode da nowa dunuma olofosu imunusa: dawa: sea, E da amo dunuma olofosu iaha. Amola nowa dunu ea dogo E da igiwane hamomusa: dawa: sea, E da amo dunu ea dogo igiwane hamosa.
So God is merciful to those he wishes to be, and hardens the attitude of those he wants to.
19 Be dunu afae da nama agoane adole ba: mu, “Gode da agoane hamoi dagoiba: le, e da abuliba: le osobo bagade dunuma fofada: sala: ? Gode Ea hanai hou afadenemu da ninima hamedei galebe.”
Now you'll argue with me and ask, “So why does he still blame us then? Who can resist the will of God?”
20 Be agoane sia: mu galea, na da bu adole imunu, “Na: iyado! Di da Godema bu gagabole sia: mu da hamedei. Ofodo amo da laga osoboga hamoi, da amo ofodo hahamosu dunuma bu gagabole amane sia: mu, “Dia da abuliba: le na agoane hamobela: ? amo sia: mu da hamedei!” na amane adole imunu.
That's no way to speak, for who are you—a mere mortal—to contradict God? Can something that is created say to its creator, “Why did you make me like this?”
21 Ofodo hahamosu dunu, hi fawane da ea hanai defele osobo hamone, ofodo hisu hisu hamomu da defea. E da ofodo afadafa eso bagade lolo nabe eso agoane ganodini ha: i manu ligisimusa: hisu hamosa, eno da eso fonobahadi ganodini ha: i manu ligisimusa: hisu hamomu da defea.
Doesn't a potter have the right to use the same batch of clay to make both a decorative bowl and an everyday pot?
22 Gode Ea hou hamoi da amo defele diala. E da wadela: i hou amoga Ea ougi hou amola Ea gasa bagade hou, amo olelemusa: dawa: i. Be E da dunu hobea Ea wadela: ma: ne fofada: su ba: mu dunu, ilima E da hedolo hame se dabe iasu i.
It's as if God, wanting to demonstrate his opposition to sin and to reveal his power, bears patiently with these “pots destined for destruction,”
23 Eno amola E da Ea baligiliwane hadigi hou olelemusa: dawa: i. Amo hou E da nini (Ea gogolema: ne olofosu lai dagoi dunu, Ea hadigi lama: ne E da hahamoi) ninima Ea hadigi hou E da baligiliwane i dagoi.
so that he might reveal the greatness of his glory through these “pots of mercy” which he has prepared in advance for glory.
24 Gode da Yu dunuma fawane hame wele sia: su, be Dienadaile dunu amola ilima wele sia: i dagoi. Ninia da amo fi diala.
This is who we are—people he has called, not just from among the Jews, but from among the foreigners too...
25 Gode da Hosia meloa ganodini agoane sia: sa, “Musa: fi dunu amo da Na fi dunu hame Na sia: i. Be Na da hobea amo fi dunu da Na fi dunu sia: mu. Fi dunu da musa: Na da ilima hame asigi, amo fi dunuma Na da amane sia: mu, ‘Dilia da Na dogolegei fi!’
As God said in the book of Hosea, “Those who are not my people I will call my people, and those who are not loved I will call the ones I love,”
26 Amola sogebi amo ganodini Na da musa: ilima sia: i, ‘Dilia da Na fi dunu hame!’ amo sogebi ganodini Na da ilima amane sia: mu, ‘Dilia da Esalebe Gode Ea mano!’
and, “It will happen that at the place where they were told, ‘You're not my people,’ there they will be called the children of the living God.”
27 Gode Sia: eno da agoane dedei diala. Aisaia da Isala: ili dunu ilia hou olelemusa: amane sia: sa, “Isala: ili dunu ilia idi da sa: i amo hano bagade bega: diala, amo ea idi defele gala ba: sa ganiaba, bagahame fawane da Gode Ea gaga: su hou ba: mu.
Isaiah cries out regarding Israel: “Even if the children of Israel have become as numerous as the sands of the sea, only a small number will be saved.
28 Bai Gode Ea wadela: ma: ne fofada: su da osobo bagadega hedolowane doaga: mu!”
For the Lord is going to quickly and completely finish his work of judgment on the earth.”
29 Amola Aisaia da Isala: ili fi ilia hou dawa: beba: le, amane sia: i, “Hina Gode Bagadedafa da ninigaga fi ganodini afae afae hame fane legei ganiaba, ninia da Sodame moilai fi amola Goumola moilai fi, agoaiwane ba: la: loba.”
As Isaiah previously said, “If the Lord Almighty had not left us some descendants, we would have become just like Sodom and Gomorrah.”

What shall we conclude, then? That even though the foreigners were not even looking to do right, they did grasp what is right, and through their trust in God did what was morally right.
31 Be Gode Ea fidafa dunu da sema hamobeba: le, ilia da Gode da ili hahawane moloidafa hamoi dagoi dawa: i galu. Be amo logo hogoi helele, hame ba: i.
But the people of Israel, who looked to the law to make them right with God, never succeeded.
32 Ilia dafawaneyale dawa: su hou mae dawa: le, be ilisu hawa: hamobe amo dawa: beba: le, logo hame ba: i. Amaiba: le fedege agoane, ilia igi amoga emo udagagubiba: le, dafai.
Why not? Because they relied on what they did rather than trusting in God. They tripped on the stumbling-block,
33 Amo igi ea hou olelema: ne, Gode Sia: da amane dedei diala, “Ba: ma! Na da dunu ilia emo udagaguli dafama: ne, Saione moilai amo ganodini igi ligisimu. Dunu da amo igiga dafamu. Be nowa dunu da Gode Ea hou dafawaneyale dawa: sea, amo da hamedafa gogosiamu.”
just as Scripture predicted: “Look, I'm placing in Zion a stumbling-block, a rock that will offend people. But those who trust in him won't be disappointed.”
