God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
2 Ea fawane da na gaga: sa. E da na Gaga: sudafa. Amaiba: le na da enoga hamedafa hasali dagoi ba: mu.
Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
3 Nama ha lai huluane, dilia! Na gasa da gagoi gadelale sa: i, amo defele gala. Amaiba: le, habowali seda dilia da nama doagala: ma: bela: ?
When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
4 Dilia da udigili fawane amo nama, na nodosu sogea amogainini gudu sa: ima: ne hamosa amola dilia da ogogole nodosu hamosa. Dilia da nama nodoma: ne sia: sia: sa, be dilia dogo ganodini da nama gagabusa.
My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
5 Na da Godema fawane fa: no bobogesa. Na dafawane hamoma: beyale dawa: su da Ema fawane gala.
God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
6 Gode Hisu fawane da na Gaga: sudafa gala. Amaiba: le na da enoga hamedafa hasali dagoi ba: mu.
Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
7 Gode Hi fawane da hamonanebeba: le, na da gaga: i dagoi, amola eno dunu da nama nodone dawa: sa. E da na Gaga: su gasa bagadedafa gala. E da na ougihalesisu gala.
God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
8 Na dunu! Eso huluane Godema dafawaneyale dawa: ma! Dilia bidi hamosu huluane Ema adoma! Bai E da ninia wamoaligisu sogebi gala.
[You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
9 Osobo bagade dunu huluane da mifo afae fulabolesibi agoai gala. Dunu bagade amola fonobahadi huluane, da defele hamedei amola wadela: i gala. Ilia da dioi defesu da: iya ligisili ba: sea, dioi defesu da heda: i hamedafa ba: sa, ilia da mifo fulaboi afae ea hagi defele hagi gala.
People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
10 Dilia dafawaneyale dawa: su amoga gasa fili, eno dunu banenesimusa: mae dawa: ma. Liligi wamolale bagade gagumusa: mae dawa: ma. Amola dilia liligi gagui da bagade heda: sea, amoma bagade mae fa: no bobogema.
Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
11 Na da Gode Ea agoane sia: be enoenoia nabi. “Gasa bagade hou da Na: fawane, amola mae fisili asigidafa hou da Na: fawane.” Hina Gode! Di Disu fawane, dunu ilia hou hamobe defele, ilima bidi iaha!
I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
