1 Wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia hou hamobeba: le, mae da: i dioma! Giadofale hamobe dunu da liligi bagade lasea, mae mudale ba: ma!
Do not be bothered/upset by what wicked [people do]. Do not desire to have the things that people who do wrong/evil have,
2 Ilia da gisi amo da hedolo bioi gia: su defele, hedolowane alalolesimu. Ilia da bugi amo bioi gia: su defele, hedolo bogomu.
because they will soon disappear, like grass withers [in the hot sun] and dries up. Just like some green plants [come up but] die [during the hot summer], evil people will soon die also.
3 Dilia! Hina Gode Ea hou dafawaneyale dawa: le, moloidafa hou hamoma! Soge amoga fifilale, gaga: iwane esaloma!
Trust in Yahweh, and do what is good; if you do that, you will live safely in the land [that he has given you], and you will live peacefully [MET].
4 Hina Gode Ea hou amo ganodini hahawane hou hogoi helema! E da dia dogoga, hanasu hou hamoma: mu.
Be delighted with all that Yahweh [does for you]; if you do that, he will give you the things that you desire most.
5 Dina: disu Hina Godema ima, amola Ema dafawaneyale dawa: ma! Amasea, E da di fidimu.
Commit to Yahweh all the things that you plan to do; trust in him, and he will do [whatever is needed to help you].
6 E da dima moloidafa hou hahamonesimu. Amola Ea hamobeba: le, di da esomogoa eso diga: be agoai ba: mu.
He will show [as clearly] as the sunlight that you (are innocent/have done nothing that is wrong); he will show [as clearly] as [the sun at] noontime [SIM] that all the things that you have decided are just.
7 Hina Gode Ea hanaiga hamoma: ne, ha: aligima! Wadela: i dunu ilia da liligi bagade gagusia, amola hahawane wadela: i ilegesu hou amo hamosea, mae da: i dione ba: ma.
Be quiet in Yahweh’s presence, and wait patiently for him [to do what you want him to do]. Do not be bothered/upset when what evil men do is successful, when they are able to do the wicked things that they plan.
8 Da: i dione amola ougili mae hamoma! Amoga da bidi hamosu fawane ba: mu.
Do not be angry [about what wicked people do]. Do not want to punish them yourself. Do not be envious of such people because you will only harm [yourself if you try to envy them].
9 Be nowa dunu ilia da Hina Godema dafawaneyale dawa: sea, ilia fawane da osobo bagade ouligimu. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu da gadili sefasi dagoi ba: mu.
[Some day Yahweh] will get rid of wicked people, but those who trust in Yahweh will live [safely] in the land [that he has given to them].
10 Wadela: i hamosu dunu da hedolowane alalolesi dagoi ba: mu. Dia da ili hogoi helemu, be hame ba: mu.
Soon the wicked will disappear. If you look for them, they will be gone.
11 Bodogi dunu da osobo bagade ouligimu. Amola bagade gaguiwane amola olofoiwane esalebe ba: mu.
But those who are humble will live safely in their land. They will happily enjoy living peacefully and having the other good things [that Yahweh gives them].
12 Wadela: i hamosu dunu da noga: le hamosu dunu amo wadela: lesimusa: ilegesa, amola ema higale ougili ba: sa.
Wicked people plan to harm righteous/godly people; they snarl at them [MET] [like wild animals].
13 Be Hina Gode da wadela: le hamosu dunu iliba: le, ousa. Bai E dawa: Ilia da hedolowane gugunufinisi dagoi ba: mu.
But Yahweh laughs [at them] because he knows that some day [MTY] [he will judge and punish] the wicked people.
14 Wadela: i hamosu dunu da hame gagui dunu amola moloidafa hamosu dunu medole legemusa: , ilia gegesu gobihei amo duga: le gadosa, amola ilia oulali disa.
Wicked people pull out their swords/daggers and they put strings on their bows, ready to kill people who are poor [DOU] and to slaughter those who live righteously.
15 Be ilia da ilila: gegesu gobihei amogawane ilila: fane legei dagoi ba: mu. Amola ilia oulali da fifili sali ba: mu.
But they will be killed by their own swords/daggers, and their bows will be broken.
16 Moloidafa dunu ea fonobahadi gagui da wadela: i hamosu dunu huluane ilia bagade gagui amo baligisa.
It is good to be righteous/godly even if you do not have many possessions, but it is bad to be wicked, even if you are very wealthy,
17 Bai Hina Gode da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia gasa fadegale fasimu. Be E da molole hamosu dunu ili gaga: mu.
because [Yahweh] will completely take away the strength of wicked people, but he will (sustain/take care of) people who live righteously.
18 Hina Gode da Ea sia: nabawane hamosu dunu amo noga: le ouligisa. Amola Ea nana liligi da eso huluane ilia: fawane dialumu.
Every day Yahweh cares about those who have not done any evil things; the things that Yahweh gives them will last forever.
19 Wadela: i eso da doaga: sea, ilia da se hame nabimu. Ha: i da doaga: sea, ilia da hame ha: gia: mu.
They will survive when calamities occur; when there are famines, they will still have plenty to eat.
20 Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia da bogogia: mu. Hina Godema ha lai dunu, ilia da mosoi gilidabe defele gilisa: i dagoi ba: mu. Mobi da hedolowane geale asi. amo defele ilia da hedolowane alalolesi dagoi ba: mu.
But wicked people will die; [just] like the beautiful wild flowers in the fields [die under the hot sun] and disappear like smoke [MET], Yahweh [will cause] his enemies to suddenly disappear.
21 Wadela: i hamosu dunu da fa: no bidi imunusa: liligi udigili laha be fa: no hame iaha. Be noga: i dunu da hahawane mae dawa: iwane iaha.
The wicked people borrow [money], but they are not able to repay it; righteous/godly people, [in contrast, have enough money that] they can give generously [to others].
22 Nowa dunu ilia da Hina Gode Ea hahawane dogolegele ba: su galea, ilia da osobo bagade nana liligi defele amo lamu. Be nowa da Ea gagabui amoga aligi galea, ilia da gadili sefasi dagoi ba: mu.
Those whom Yahweh has blessed will live safely in the land that he has given to them, but he will get rid of those people whom he has cursed.
23 Hina Gode da dunu Ea masa: ne dawa: i logo, amoga masa: ne noga: le ouligisa. Amola E da nowa dunu amo da E nodoma: ne hamosa, amo noga: le gaga: sa.
Yahweh protects those who do what is pleasing to him, and he will enable them to walk confidently, wherever they go;
24 Ilia da dafasea, gebe gudu hame dialumu. Bai Hina Gode da ili wa: legadolesimu.
even if they stumble, they will not fall down, because Yahweh holds them by his hand.
25 Na da waha da: i hamoi dagoi. Na da fifi misi helei. Be na da Hina Gode noga: i dunu afae fisiagai amo hamedafa ba: i. Amola noga: i dunu ea mano ha: i manu hameba: le, edegenanebe hamedafa ba: i.
I was young [previously], and now I am an old man, but [in all those years], I have never seen righteous/godly people being abandoned by Yahweh, nor have I seen that their children [needed to] beg for food.
26 Noga: i dunu da eso huluane udigiliwane enoma sagosa. Amola e da enoma liligi bu hi lamusa: hahawane iasisa. Amola ea mano da eno dunuma hahawane dogolegele hamosa.
Righteous/Godly people are generous, and happily lend [money to others], and their children are a blessing to them.
27 Wadela: i hamonanu fisiagale, moloidafa hou hamoma. Amasea, digaga fifi manebe da eso huluane esalalalumu.
Turn away from [doing] evil, and do what is good. If you do that, you [and your descendants] will live in your land forever.
28 Bai Hina Gode da moloidafa hou amoma asigisa. Amola E da Ea dafawaneyale dawa: be dunu amo hame fisiagasa. E da mae fisili, ili gebewane gaga: lala. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu iligaga fifi manebe dunu da gadili sefasi dagoi ba: mu.
[That will happen] because Yahweh likes to see people doing what is just, and he will never forsake righteous/godly people. He will protect them forever; but he will get rid of the children of wicked people.
29 Moloidafa dunu ilia da osobo bagade nana liligi agoane amo lale, amola amo ganodini, eso huluane fifi lalalumu.
Righteous/Godly people will own the land [that Yahweh promised to give to them], and they will live there forever.
30 Noga: idafa dunu ea sia: da bagade dawa: su gala. Amola e da eso huluane moloidafa hou hamonana.
Righteous people give wise [advice to others], and they [MTY] say what is just/fair.
31 E da ea Hina Gode Ea malasu sia: ea dogo ganodini dawa: i diala. Amola e da amo malasu nabawane hamonaneawane hamedafa yolesisa.
They continually think about God’s laws; they do not stray from [God’s] path.
32 Wadela: i hamosu dunu da noga: idafa dunu amo ba: lala. Amola e fane legemusa: logo hogosa.
Those who are evil wait in ambush for righteous people in order to kill them [as they walk by].
33 Be noga: i dunu da ema ha lai dunu ea gasaga wadela: lesi, amo hamedafa ba: mu. Amola fofada: su ganodini, se dabe hame lamu. Bai Hina Gode da e fisiagamu hamedafa dawa:
But Yahweh will not abandon righteous people, and allow (them to fall into their enemies’ hands/their enemies harm them). And he will not allow righteous people to be condemned when someone takes them to a judge [to be put on trial].
34 Hina Gode da dima hobea misunu hou amo ouligimu, amo dafawaneyale dawa: ma, amola Ea hamoma: ne sia: i, amo nabawane hamoma. Amasea, E da dima nodoma: ne, soge dima imunu. Amola, di da wadela: i hamosu dunu gadili sefasi dagoi ba: mu.
Be patient and trust that Yahweh [will help you], and (walk on his paths/do what he wants you to do). [If you do that], he will honor you by giving you the land [that he promised], and when he gets rid of the wicked, you will see it happen.
35 Na da ha afaega, gasa fi wadela: i hamosu dunu dawa: i galu. E da dolo ifa gahe Lebanone sogega hahawane lelebe agoai ba: i.
I have seen that wicked people who (act like tyrants/terrify people) [sometimes] prosper, like trees that grow well in fertile soil,
36 Be fa: no na amo baligisa ba: loba, e da amogai hame ba: i. Na da e hogoi be hame ba: i.
when I looked [later], they were gone! I searched for them, but [Yahweh had caused] them to disappear.
37 Dilia! Dunu noga: i amo noga: le hogole ba: ma! Ea moloidafa hou noga: le hogoma! Olofole hamosu dunu da egaga fifi ahoanebe ba: mu.
Notice the people who have not done evil things, those who act righteously: their descendants will have peace in their inner beings.
38 Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia da wadela: lesidafa ba: mu. Amola iligaga fi da halesali dagoi ba: mu.
But Yahweh will get rid of the wicked; he will also get rid of their descendants (OR, as a result, they will not have any descendants).
39 Hina Gode da moloidafa dunu ili gaga: sa. Bidi hamosu eso da ilima doaga: sea, E da ili gaga: sa.
Yahweh rescues righteous people; in times of trouble he protects them [MET].
40 E da ili fidisa amola gaga: sa. Wadela: i hamosu dunu da ili wadela: lesisa: besa: le, E da ili gaga: sa. Bai ilia da ilila: gaga: ma: ne, Ema ahoa.
Yahweh helps them and saves them; he rescues them from [being attacked/harmed by] wicked people because they go to him to be protected [MET].
