< Malasu 25 >

1 Soloumone ea malasu meloa dedei eno da goe. Yuda soge hina bagade Hesigaia, amo ea sia: dedesu dunu ilia da bu dedei.
These also are proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
2 Gode da hou oda wamolegebeba: le, ninia da Ema nodone dawa: sa. Be hina bagade da hou huluane mae wamolegele ninima olelebeba: le fawane, ilima nodone dawa: sa.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
3 Hina bagade dunu ea dawa: su da ninia dawa: mu hamedeidafa. Be ea dawa: su da gadodafa amola hano wayabo lugudu gududafa agoai gala.
The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
4 Dilia da silifa amoga nigima: dialebe amo dodofele fasisia, noga: le momadobe dunu ea liligi amo noga: le nina: hahamonesisu dawa:
Take away the dross from the silver, and there cometh forth a vessel for the refiner;
5 Wadela: i fada: i sia: su dunu da hina bagade ea hou wadela: sa. Be amo dunu fadegale fasisia, hina bagade da ea fi noga: le ouligimu.
Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
6 Di da hina bagade amo ba: la masea, di da asabole fonoboi dunu agoai ba: mu da defea. Di da mimogo gasa bagade ba: ma: ne mae ogogoma.
Glorify not thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men;
7 Dunu ilia da di fa: no aligi sogebi fisili, bisili aligi sogebi amoga heda: ma: ne sia: mu da defea. Be ilia dima bisili aligi sogebi amo fisili, gudu sa: ili, fa: no aligi sogebi masa: ne sia: sea, di da gogosiamu.
For better is it that it be said unto thee: 'Come up hither', than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince, whom thine eyes have seen.
8 Di da dia ba: i liligi amo hedolowane mae fofada: ma. Amola dunu enoga dia sia: gufuli salasea, dia da adi hamoma: bela: ?
Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
9 Dia na: iyado alia da: i dioi amo sia: dasea, alisudafa olofole ado sa: ima. Amola amo sia: dunu enoma mae adole ima.
Debate thy cause with thy neighbour, but reveal not the secret of another;
10 Di da amo sia: hame wamolegesea, dunu eno huluane da dawa: digili, sia: da bagade heda: mu amola di da sia: ouligisu hou hame dawa: ilia dawa: mu. Amasea, di da mae fisili, gogosiane esalumu.
Lest he that heareth it revile thee, and thine infamy turn not away.
11 Dawa: su noga: i amo eno dunuma dawa: ma: ne olelesea, amo da gouli dededei amo silifa bai amoma madelagilisi agoane gala.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
12 Noga: le dawa: su dunu da nabimusa: hanai dunu amoma sisane sia: sea, amo hou da noga: idafaba: le, gegagulu gouliga hahamoi amo baligisa.
As an ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
13 Asunasisu dunu da sia: noga: le alofele iasu dunu ea hou amo hano nanu anegagi hisi agoai ba: sa.
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to him that sendeth him; for he refresheth the soul of his master.
14 Nowa dunu da udigili liligi imunusa: sia: sea be hame iasea, e da fo amola mobi gilisili mabe agoai, be gibu da dabe hame ba: sa.
As vapours and wind without rain, so is he that boasteth himself of a false gift.
15 Di da noga: le gebe dadawa: le sia: sea, dunu da musa: gelalu, ilia hou bu afadenene, bu dafawaneyale dawa: mu. Hina bagade dunu amolawane da dia sia: dafawaneyale dawa: mu.
By long forbearing is a ruler persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
16 Di da agime ea hano dosogele mae moma. Be di da dosogele nasea, di da isomu.
Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
17 Dia na: iyado ema fofoya sofe mae afufuma. Agoane hamosea, dia na: iyado da dia momafubi ba: i helesea, dima higamu.
Let thy foot be seldom in thy neighbour's house; lest he be sated with thee, and hate thee.
18 Gasulusu sia: da gegesu gobihei bagade amola gigi amola dadi agesoi defele medosu liligi agoai ba: sa.
As a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow, so is a man that beareth false witness against his neighbour.
19 Didili hame hamosu dunu da se nabasu doaga: sea, e da dunu eno noga: le hame fidisa. Be di da didili hame hamosu dunu da di noga: le fidimu amo dafawaneyale dawa: sea, amo da bese wagoi amoga ha: i nabe amola emo gasuga: igi amoga ahoabe agoai ba: sa.
Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
20 Di da da: i dioi nabasu dunu ema gesami hea: le gala: sea, e da se nabimu. Di da asugi esala lalu houlalebe dunu ema anegagi esoga ea abula gisa: le, o dunu ea fa: gi da: iya sali legesea, seselebe, amo hou defele ba: sa.
As one that taketh off a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to a heavy heart.
21 Dia ha lai dunu da ha: i galea, ha: i manu ima. Amola e hano hanai galea, hano moma: ne ema dili ima.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink;
22 Amasea, e da da: i dia: ne gogosiamu. Amola Hina Gode da dima bidi imunu.
For thou wilt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD will reward thee.
23 Baligidu sia: su da foga gibu mini mabe agoai, ougi hou gaguli maha.
The north wind bringeth forth rain, and a backbiting tongue an angry countenance.
24 Dunu e da gesa: gesa: i udala gilisili fimu da gasa bagade. Dunu hisu diasu dabua mogoa gado fifi lamu amo ea hou da amo baligisa.
It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than in a house in common with a contentious woman.
25 Sia: ida: iwane gala soge sedaga ganini maha da mage hafoga: iba: le hano nanu anegagi hisi agoai ba: sa.
As cold waters to a faint soul, so is good news from a far country.
26 Moloidafa dunu da dafane, wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia sia: nabasea, amo hou da gu hano ubagei amola hano nasu ulidou ganodini hai amo agoai ba: sa.
As a troubled fountain, and a corrupted spring, so is a righteous man that giveth way before the wicked.
27 Agime hano dosogele nasea, di da dia hou wadela: lesimu. Amola di da dunu enoga dia hou ofa: ma: ne hogoi helesea, amo da dia hou wadela: lesimu.
It is not good to eat much honey; so for men to search out their own glory is not glory.
28 Dia mihanasu hou gumimusa: hame dawa: sea, di da gasa hame moilai bai bagade amo ea gagoi da mugululi sa: i agoai ba: sa.
Like a city broken down and without a wall, so is he whose spirit is without restraint.
