1 Di da hame gaguiwane be moloidafa esalumu da defea. Be di da gagaoui ogogosu dunu agoai ba: mu da defea hame.
Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.
2 Di da dawa: su hame galea, be hahawane mae dawa: le momabo hamomusa: dawa: sea, amo da defea hame galebe. Amane hamosea, di da se nabimu.
It isn’t good to have zeal without knowledge, nor being hasty with one’s feet and missing the way.
3 Dunu mogili da hi hanai hou hamobeba: le, wadela: lesi dagoi ba: sa. Amasea, ilia da udigili, “Hina Gode da na wadela: lesi dagoi,” amane sia: sa.
The foolishness of man subverts his way; his heart rages against the LORD.
4 Dunu bagohame ilia bagade gagui dunu ilima dogolegemusa: dawa: Be hame gagui dunu da dogolegei bagahame fawane gala, amola ilia dogolegei da ili hedolo yolesisa.
Wealth adds many friends, but the poor is separated from his friend.
5 Dia fofada: nana amo ganodini ogogosea, di da se iasu ba: mu. Amola hobeamu logo hame ba: mu.
A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.
6 Dunu huluane da mimogoa dunu amo ilia nodoi ba: ma: ne hamosa. Amola dunu huluane da dunu amo da ilima hahawane dogolegele iaha, amo dunuma dogolegemusa: dawa:
Many will entreat the favor of a ruler, and everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts.
7 Dunu huluane amola ea sosogo fi da hame gagui dunu amo hame dogolegesa. E da dogolegei dunu hogoi helele, hamedafa ba: sa.
All the relatives of the poor shun him; how much more do his friends avoid him! He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.
8 Dina: di fidima! Dawa: su hou hogoi helema! Amasea, dia dawa: lai amo mae gogolema. Amasea, di da bagade gaguiwane ba: mu.
He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.
9 Nowa da fofada: su ganodini ogogosea, e da se iasu amoga hobeale masunu logo hame ba: mu. E da se iasu dafawanedafa ba: mu
A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish.
10 Gagaoui dunu da liligi noga: idafa gaguli esalumu da defea hame. Amola udigili hawa: hamosu dunu da hina bagade ilia mano amoma hinawane esalumu da defea hame.
Delicate living is not appropriate for a fool, much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
11 Dawa: su dunu da ea mihanasea hedolo hedofasu dawa: Dunu da dima wadela: le hamosea, amo mae dawa: le, gogolema: ne olofomu da noga: idafa.
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger. It is his glory to overlook an offense.
12 Hina bagade ea ougi hou da laione wa: me ea gesenesu bagade agoane, be ea hahawane fidisu hou da gibu noga: le dabe agoai ba: sa.
The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
13 Gagaoui mano da ea eda bagadewane gugunufinisimu. Amola gesa: gesa: i uda ea hou da hano dadadibi agoai gala.
A foolish son is the calamity of his father. A wife’s quarrels are a continual dripping.
14 Dunu da diasu amola muni amo ea sosogo ilima nana labe dawa: Be Hina Gode Hifawane da uda amo da dawa: su noga: idafa gala, ema imunusa: dawa:
House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.
15 Di da hihi dabuli hou hanai galea, defea, udigili hihiwane esalu golabada. Be di da ha: i bagade ba: mu.
Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep. The idle soul shall suffer hunger.
16 Gode Ea sema nabawane hamosea, di da fifi asi sedagimu. Be Gode Ea sema amo dia higasea, di da hedolo bogomu.
He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.
17 Di da hame gagui dunu ilima iasea, amo da Hina Gode Ema fa: no bu lamusa: iasu defele agoai gala. Amola Hina Gode da dia iasu defele dima dabe imunu.
He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD; he will reward him.
18 Dia mano ilia manohadi esoga dawa: lamusa: dawa: beba: le, ilima dawa: ma: ne se iasu ima. Hame amasea, di da ilisu ilila: wadela: lesima: ne fidisa.
Discipline your son, for there is hope; don’t be a willing party to his death.
19 Hedolo mi hanasu dunu amo e da ea hamoi defele se nabimu da defea. Amaiwane dunu mae gaga: ma. Di da eso enoga amo hou bu hamosa: besa: le, mae gaga: ma.
A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty, for if you rescue him, you must do it again.
20 Di da fada: i sia: noga: le nabasea amola bu noga: le dawa: ma: ne hanai galea, di da fa: no bagade dawa: su dunu agoane esalumu.
Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.
21 Dunu da ilia hanai liligi hamomusa: ilegesa. Be Gode Ea hanaiga dawa: i amo fawane hamoi dagoi ba: mu.
There are many plans in a man’s heart, but the LORD’s counsel will prevail.
22 Uasu hou da gogosiasu agoai gala. Hame gagui dunu ilia hou da ogogosu dunu ilia hou baligisa.
That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness. A poor man is better than a liar.
23 Di da Hina Godema nabasu hou hamosea, esalusu sedade ba: mu. Amola di da gaga: le hahawane esalumu.
The fear of the LORD leads to life, then contentment; he rests and will not be touched by trouble.
24 Dunu mogili da baligili hihi dabuliba: le, ilia ha: i manu loboga lale manu higasa.
The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
25 Gasa fi hame dawa: su dunu ilima dawa: ma: ne se imunu da defea. Amasea, dawa: su hame dunu ilia da houdafa dawa: mu. Di da bagade dawa: su galea, dunu eno da dima dawa: ma: ne olelesea, di da dawa: lamu.
Flog a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.
26 Nowa da edama giadofale hamosea o ea ame ea diasuga mae esaloma: ne sefasisia, amo da wadela: le gugunufinisisu dunu.
He who robs his father and drives away his mother is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
27 Nagofe! Di da dawa: lamusa: hogolalu yolesea, di da dia musa: dawa: lai amola bu gogolemu.
If you stop listening to instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.
28 Giadofabe ba: su dunu da eno dunuma se imunusa: dawa: sea, moloidafa fofada: su hou da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: sa. Wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia da wadela: i hou hamomu bagade hanai gala.
A corrupt witness mocks justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down iniquity.
29 Gasa fi gagaoui dunu da se nabima: ne fasu dafawane ba: mu.
Penalties are prepared for scoffers, and beatings for the backs of fools.
