1 Moloidafa mano e da eda ea sia: sea o olelesea, noga: le naba. Be gasa fi dunu da, e giadofai dagoi hamedafa sia: sa.
A wise son listens to his father's instruction, but a scoffer doesn't listen to rebuke.
2 Moloidafa dunu da ilia sia: sia: beba: le, bidi noga: iwane lamu. Be ogogosu dunu da mosolamu hanai galebe.
By the fruit of his lips, a man enjoys good things; but the unfaithful crave violence.
3 Dia lafidili sia: noga: le ouligima. Amoga di da dia esalusu gaga: mu. Be udigili sia: dasu dunu da hina: fawane wadela: lesisa.
He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
4 Hihi dabuli dunu da liligi lamu bagade hanasa. Be e da hame lamu. Be gasa bagade hawa: hamosu dunu da ea hanai liligi huluane lamu.
The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied.
5 Moloidafa dunu da ogogosu hou higasa. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia sia: da wadela: idafa amola gogosiama: ne adosa.
A righteous man hates lies, but a wicked man brings shame and disgrace.
6 Moloidafa hou da wadela: i hame hamosu dunu amo gaga: sa. Be wadela: i hou da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia dafasu agoai galebe.
Righteousness guards the way of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
7 Dunu mogili ilia da bagade gaguiyale sia: sa, be ilia da liligi bagade hame gagui ba: sa. Mogili ilia da ogogole ilia da liligi hame gagui sia: sa, be ilia da liligi bagade gagui dunu ba: sa.
There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing. There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.
8 Bagade gagui dunu da ea muniga ea esalusu logo gaga: sa. Be gasa fi dunu da hame gagui dunu ema hame magagisa.
The ransom of a man's life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.
9 Moloidafa dunu da gamali amo da noga: lewane digagala: su agoai ba: sa. Be wadela: i dunu da gamali gegela: i agoai ba: sa.
The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.
10 Gasa fi hamosu da mosolasu fawane hamosa. Be eno dunu ilia fada: i sia: ne iasu amo adole ba: mu da defea.
Pride only breeds quarrels, but with ones who take advice is wisdom.
11 Di da muni bagade hedolowane asabole lasea, hedolowane fisimu. Be muni lamu logo da gasa bagade ba: sea, di da hobea bagade gaguiwane ba: mu.
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.
12 Di da hobea misunu hahawane hou hanai galea, amola amo hou da hame doaga: sea, di da se bagade naba. Be dia hanai da dafawane doaga: i dagoi ba: sea, di da hahawane bagade ba: sa.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.
13 Di da dima fada: i sia: ne iasu noga: idafa amo higasea, mosolasu da hedolowane doaga: mu. Be di da amo fada: i sia: amoga fa: no bobogesea, di da gaga: su ba: mu.
Whoever despises instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command will be rewarded.
14 Bagade dawa: su dunu ilia olelesu da esalusu hano bubuga: su agoai galebe. Dima bogoma: ne mosolasu doaga: sea, ilia da dima hobeale ahoasu logo olelemu.
The teaching of the wise is a spring of life, to turn from the snares of death.
15 Dunu da bagade dawa: su dunu ilima nodosa. Be ogogosu dunu da wadela: su logo amoga ahoana.
Good understanding brings favor; but the way of the unfaithful leads to calamity.
16 Bagade dawa: su dunu da hou huluane dadawa: lalu fawane hamosa. Be gagaoui dunu da hame dawa: beba: le, dunu huluane da ilia hou ba: sa.
Every prudent man acts from knowledge, but a fool exposes folly.
17 Ogogosu sia: alofele ia ahoasu dunu da moloiwane hame sia: sea, mosolasu hamosa. Be moloidafa sia: alofele ia ahoasu dunu da olofosu gaguli maha.
A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy gains healing.
18 Nowa dunu da olelesu hame nabasea da hame gaguiwane amola gogosia: iwane ba: mu. Be dunu da gagabole sia: su noga: le nabasea, dunu eno da ema nodomu.
Poverty and shame come to him who refuses discipline, but he who heeds correction shall be honored.
19 Dia hanai liligi labeba: le, di da hahawane bagade ba: sa. Be gagaoui dunu da ilia wadela: i hou yolesimu higasa.
Longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil.
20 Di da bagade dawa: su dunu ilima gilisimu da defea. Amasea, di da asigi dawa: su lamu. Be di da gagaoui dunu ilima sama hamosea, di da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu.
One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
21 Mosolasu da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilima fa: no bobogesa. Be moloidafa hamosu dunu da bidi ida: iwane gala lamu.
Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.
22 Moloidafa dunu da liligi bagade gaguiba: le, amo eaowa ilia da fa: no lamu. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia gagui da fa: no moloidafa dunu ilia fawane da lamu.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.
23 Udigili dialebe soge ganodini da ha: i manu bagade gala. Amola hame gagui dunu ilia da amo lamu da defea galu. Be moloi hame dunu da molole hame fofada: su hamobeba: le, ilia da amo sogega ifabi hamomu hamedei ba: sa.
An abundance of food is in poor people's fields, but injustice sweeps it away.
24 Di da dia manoma se iasu hame iasea, di da dia manoma hame asigisa. Be di da dia manoma asigi galea, ea hou hahamoma: ne, se iasu ema ima.
One who spares the rod hates his son, but one who loves him is careful to discipline him.
25 Moloidafa dunu da ha: i manu ili sadimu defele ba: sa. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu da eso huluane ha: aligiwane esala.
The righteous one eats to the satisfying of his soul, but the belly of the wicked goes hungry.
