1 Amalalu, Yesu da Ea fa: no bobogesu dunu amola dunu huluane ilima amane sia: i,
Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying,
2 “Sema Olelesu dunu amola Fa: lisi dunu, ilia da Mousese ea Sema olelemusa: ilegei dagoi.
The scholars and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat.
3 Amaiba: le, ilia olelei huluane nabawane hamoma. Be ilia hou amoma mae fa: no bobogema. Ilia da udigili lafidili olelesa. Be ilia hou da ilia olelesu amo defele hame ba: sa.
All things therefore, however many they may tell you to observe, observe and do, but do not ye according to their works, for they say, and do not.
For they bind heavy burdens and difficult to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders, but they do not want to move them with their finger.
Ilia abula fe nodomene, bagade hamosa. Amola ilia esa mano gisa: gi amo ganodini da Gode Sia: Dedei Buga sia: dedei diala, amo ilia da bagade hamosa.
But all their works they do in order to be seen by men. And they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the hems of their garments.
6 Ilia da lolo nasu amoga ahoasea amola sinagoge diasuga ahoasea, ilia da hedolo fisu ida: iwane fawane lasa.
And they love the chief place at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
and the greetings in the marketplaces, and to be designated by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 Be dilia! Eno dunu da dilima ‘Olelesu’ dio asulimu da defea hame. Bai dilia da Olelesu afadafa fawane esala. Amola dilia huluane da yolalali agoane gilisili esala.
But be ye not designated Rabbi, for one is your leader, the Christ, and ye are all brothers.
9 Osobo bagade dunu ilima ‘Ada!’ dio mae asulima. Dilia Ada da afadafa fawane Hebene ganodini esala.
And do not designate a father of you upon the earth, for one is your Father, he in the heavens.
10 Eno dunu da dilima ‘Hina!’ dio asulimu da defea hame galebe. Dilia da Hina afadafa fawane esala, amo Yesu Gelesu.
And be ye not designated leaders, for one is your leader, the Christ.
But the greater of you will be your helper.
12 Nowa dunu da gasa fi hou hamosea, Gode da amo dunu gudu banenesimu. Nowa da ea hou fonobosea, Gode da amo dunu gaguia gadomu,”
And he who will exalt himself will be made low, and he who will make himself low will be exalted.
Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Gode Ea Hinadafa Hou heda: su logo dilia ga: sisa. Dilia da ganodini hame golili ahoa. Amola dilia da eno hanai dunu ilia logo hedofasa.
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye close up the kingdom of the heavens ahead of men. For ye enter not in, nor do ye allow those who are entering to enter in.
But woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye devour widows' houses, and praying long in pretence. Because of this ye will receive greater condemnation.
15 Dilia Sema olelesu dunu amola Fa: lisi dunu da se iasu bagade ba: mu! Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Dilia lalegagui dunu afadafa hamomusa: , hano wayabo bagadega amola osobo bagadega lala. Dunu afadafa dilia hou lalegaguli, ea Helo sa: imu logo dilia fodobeba: le, ea wadela: i hou da dilia wadela: i hou baligisa. (Geenna g1067)
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye encompass the sea and the land to make one proselyte, and when it happens, ye make him twice more a son of hell than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
Woe to you, ye blind guides, who say, Whoever may swear by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.
17 Dilia si dofoi gagaoui dunu! Dilia da hamedafa ba: sa. Debolo Diasu ea hadigi hou da gouli amo hadigi hamobeba: le, Debolo Diasu ea hou da gouli ea hou baligi dagoi.
Ye foolish and blind men, for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
And, Whoever may swear by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gift upon it, he is obligated.
Ye foolish and blind men, for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it, and by all things on it.
And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and by him who dwells in it.
And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits upon it.
23 Dilia Sema olelesu dunu amola Fa: lisi dunu da se iasu bagade ba: mu! Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Dilia fonobahadi hedama: ne fodole nasu liligi (amo ‘minede’, ‘dili’ amola ‘gamini’) amo dawa: le, amo nabuane mogili, afadafa Godema iaha. Be bagade liligi, amo semadafa, moloiwane fofada: su hou, gogolema: ne olofosu hou amola dafawaneyale dawa: su hou, dilia hame hamosa. Amo fonobahadi liligi mae gogolema. Be bagade liligi amola, dilia gilisili hamomu da defea galu.
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye tithe the mint and the anise and the cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law-justice and mercy and faith. These things must be done, and not neglecting those things.
24 Si dofoi logo olelesu dunu! Dilia wadela: i liligi nasa: besa: le, waini dabaga sogadigili, afe fadegasa. Be dilia da ga: mele bagade da: gisa.
Ye blind guides, who strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel.
Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Dilia faigelei amola yaeya dabuagado fawane dodofesa. Be ganodini da ledo agoane uasu amola hanaiba: le lasu hou bagade diala.
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but inside they are full of plunder and unrighteousness.
26 Si dofoi Fa: lisi dunu! Hidadea faigelei ea gelabo ganodini dodofema! Amasea, dilia da dabuagado amola dodofei dagoi ba: mu.
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, so that the outside of them may also become clean.
Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Dilia da bogoi ea gele gelabo soa: iai legesu amoga legei agoane diala. Dabuagado da ida: iwane ba: sa. Be ganodini da bogoi ea gasa, gaha amola ledo fawane diala.
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye are like whitewashed tombs, which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Be ganodini, dilia dogo da ogogosu amola hame nabasu hou amoga nabai diala.
In this way also, ye indeed outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside ye are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29 Dilia Sema olelesu dunu amola Fa: lisi dunu da se iasu bagade ba: mu! Dilia Dabua fawane molole ogogosu dunu! Dilia da balofede dunu bogoi amo ilia gele gelabo hamosa, amola hou ida: iwane dunu bogoi ilia gele gelabo nina: hamosa.
Woe to you, scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and adorn the sepulchers of the righteous,
and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
So then ye testify to yourselves that ye are sons of those who murdered the prophets.
32 Defea, dilia hemone aowalalia hemosu hou dagoma!
Then fill ye up the measure of your fathers.
33 Wadela: i sania fi! (Geenna g1067)
Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how will ye escape from the damnation of hell? (Geenna g1067)
Mogili dilia sinagoge diasu ganodini fegasuga fane, diasu enoga diasu enoga, mae yolele sefasimu.
Because of this, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scholars. And some of them ye will kill and crucify, and some of them ye will scourge in your synagogues, and will persecute from city to city,
so that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.
36 Na dilima dafawane sia: sa! Amo maga: me se iasu dabe huluane, wali fi diala da ba: mu.”
Truly I say to you, that all these things will come upon this generation.
Be dilia da higa: i.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets, and stones those who have been sent to her. How often I wanted to gathered thy children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and ye would not.
Behold, your house is left to you desolate.
For I say to you, ye will, no, not see me henceforth, until ye say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
