Bisisu 2
1 Hina Gode Ea a: igele dunu da Giliga: le fisili Bougimi sogega asili, Isala: ili dunuma amane sia: i, “Na da dili Idibidi sogega esalu amo fisili masa: ne samogele, oule asili, soge amo Na da dilia aowalali ilima imunu ilegele sia: i, amoga oule asi. Na da amane sia: i, ‘Na da gousa: su hou dilima hamoi, amo hamedafa yolesimu.
And the messenger of Yahweh came up from Gilgal, unto Bochim. And he said—I led you up out of Egypt, and brought you into the land, which I had sworn unto your fathers, And I said, I will not break my covenant with you, to times age-abiding;
2 Be dilia gousa: su eno Ga: ina: ne soge fi dunuma maedafa hamoma. Ilia oloda amo dilia mugululi wadela: lesima.’ Be dilia da Na sia: hamedafa nabasu.
But, ye, must not solemnise a covenant with the inhabitants of this land, Their altars, must ye tear down, —But ye have not hearkened unto my voice, what is this ye have done?
3 Amaiba: le, dilia da gusuba: i ahoasea, Na da amo dunu gadili hame sefasimu. Ilia da dilima ha laiwane esalumu, amola ilia ogogole ‘gode’ liligi ilima nodone sia: ne gadosu hou da fedege sia: agoane dilima sani dialumu.”
Wherefore also I said, I will not drive them out from before you, —but they shall be your adversaries, and, their gods, shall become unto you a snare.
4 A: igele dunu da amo sia: sia: beba: le, Isala: ili dunu huluane da dinanu.
And it came to pass, when the messenger of Yahweh had spoken these words unto all the sons of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
5 Amaiba: le, ilia da amo sogega Bougimi (disu) dio asuli. Amogawi, ilia da Hina Godema gobele salasu hamosu.
So they called the name of that place, Bochim, and offered sacrifice there, unto Yahweh.
6 Yosiua da Isala: ili dunu asunasili, ilia da afae afae amo sogebi ilima ilegei, amo gesowale fimusa: asi.
Now, when Joshua had let the people go, the sons of Israel went their way, every man to his inheritance, to take possession of the land.
7 Yosiua da esalea, amola e da bogoloba, ouligisu dunu da ilia siga Hina Gode Ea Isala: ili fidimusa: gasa bagade hou ba: i, amo dunu amola esalea, Isala: ili dunu da Hina Godema fa: no bobogei.
And the people served Yahweh all the days of Joshua, —and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of Yahweh which he had wrought for Israel.
8 Amalalu, Hina Gode ea hawa: hamosu dunu Yosiua (Nane egefe) da ea esalu ode110amo gidigisia, bogoi dagoi.
So then Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, —being a hundred and ten years old.
9 Ilia da ea da: i hodo amo hihima ilegei soge amoga uli dogone sali. Amo soge da Dimina: de Sila moilai Ifala: ime agolo soge ganodini, Ga: ia: sie Goumi amoga gagoe (north) dialu.
And they buried him within the bounds of his inheritance, in Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, —on the north of Mount Gaash.
10 Amo musa: fifi misi dunu huluanedafa da bogogia: i dagoi. Amola fa: no fifi misi dunu ilia da Hina Gode Ea gasa bagade Isala: ili dunuma fidi amo gogolei, amola Hina Gode hamedafa dawa: i.
All that generation also, were gathered unto their fathers, —and there arose another generation, after them, who had not known Yahweh, nor even the work which he had wrought for Israel.
11 Amalalu, Isala: ili dunu da Godema wadela: le hamoi. Ilia da ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi ilia dio amo Ba: ile ilima fa: no bobogesu.
So the sons of Israel did the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, —and served the Baals;
12 Hina Gode, amo da ilia aowalalia Gode, amola E da ili Idibidi sogega fisili masa: ne asunasi. Be ilia da Hina Gode yolesili, amo hame lalegagui dunu ilia soge ganodini esalu, amo ilia ‘gode’ liligi amoma nodone sia: ne gadosu. Ilia da amo ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi ilima dawa: le begudubiba: le, Hina Gode da ougi bagade ba: i.
and forsook Yahweh, the God of their fathers, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt, and went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were round about them, and bowed themselves down unto them, —and angered Yahweh.
13 Ilia da Hina Godema nodone sia: ne gadosu hou fisili, Ba: ile amola A: sadalode ogogosu ‘gode’ amoma fa: no bobogei.
Yea, they forsook Yahweh, —and did service unto the Baal and unto Ashtaroth.
14 Amaiba: le Hina Gode da ougi bagade ba: i. Ilima ha lai dunu da ilima doagala: musa: amola ilia liligi wamolamusa: manoba, Hina Gode da ilia logo hame hedofai. E da Isala: ili dunu hame fidibiba: le, ilia ha lai dunu da ilima sisiga: le disi, amo da ili hasalasi. Isala: ili dunu da ilima bu gegemu hamedeiwane ba: i.
Then kindled the anger of Yahweh upon Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of spoilers, who plundered them, —and he sold them into the hand of their enemies round about, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.
15 Hina Gode Ea sia: i defele, ilia da gegemusa: ahoanoba, Hina Gode da ilima gegebe ba: i. Ilia da se bagade nabi.
Whithersoever they went out, the hand of Yahweh was found to be against them for misfortune, as spake Yahweh, and as sware Yahweh unto them, —and they were distressed exceedingly.
16 Amalalu, Hina Gode da bisisu dunu Isala: ili dunuma i. Bisisu dunu da gasa bagade gegebeba: le, ilia da Isala: ili dunu ilia ha lai dunu ilima gaga: i.
And, though Yahweh raised up judges, —who saved them out of the hand of them that plundered them,
17 Be Isala: ili dunu da ilia bisisu dunu sia: hame nabasu. Ilia Hina Gode Ea hou fisili, eno ‘gode’ liligi ilima hawa: hamosu. Ilia aowalali eda ilia da Hina Gode Ea sema amoma fa: no bobogesu. Be gaheabolo fi dunu da amo hou hedolowane yolesi.
yet, even unto their judges, did thy not hearken, for they went unchastely astray after other gods, and bowed themselves down to them, —they turned aside speedily out of the way wherein their fathers who hearkened unto the commandments of Yahweh, walked, they did not so.
18 Eso bagohame, Hina Gode da Isala: ili dunuma bisisu iasu. Amo bisisu dunu da esalea, Hina Gode da e fidibiba: le, Isala: ili dunu ilia ha lai dunu ilima gaga: i. Hina Gode da ilia se nabasu amola gogonomasu amo nababeba: le, E da ilima asigiba: le, ili gaga: i.
And, when Yahweh raised them up judges, then was Yahweh with the judges, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies, all the days of the judge, —for Yahweh was grieved at their outcry, because of them who oppressed them, and ill-treated them.
19 Be bisisu da bogoloba, Isala: ili dunu da ilia musa: wadela: i hou amoma sinidigili, ilia wadela: i hou da ilia ada ilia wadela: i hou baligisu. Ilia da ogogosu ‘gode’ ilima nodone sia: ne gadosu, amola hawa: hamosu. Ilia da musa: wadela: i hou hamedafa yolesi.
But, when the judge was dead, they again broke faith more than their fathers, by going their way after other gods, by serving them, and bowing themselves down to them, —they ceased not from their doings nor from their stubborn way.
20 Amo ba: beba: le, Hina Gode da Isala: ili fi ilima ougi bagade ba: lalu, amane sia: i, “Amo dunu da gousa: su amo Na da ilia aowalali ilima noga: le nabima: ne sia: i, amo ilia da Na sia: hame nababeba: le, wadela: lesi dagoi.
So then the anger of Yahweh kindled upon Israel, and he said—Forasmuch as this nation have transgressed my covenant, which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice,
21 Amaiba: le, dunu fi da Yosiua esalebe eso amoga, Ga: ina: ne soge ganodini ba: i, amo Na da gadili hame sefasimu.
I also, will no further dispossess a man from before them, —from among the nations which Joshua left remaining, when he died;
22 Na da wali esalebe Isala: ili dunu da ilia aowalali defele Nama fa: no bobogema: bela: ? amo adoba: ma: ne, Na da ilima ha lai dunu Ga: ina: ne soge ganodini fima: ne yolesimu.”
that I may, by them, put Israel to the proof, —whether they are going to be observant of the way of Yahweh, to walk therein as their fathers observed it, or not.
23 Amaiba: le, amo dunu fi da Isala: ili soge ganodini bu esaloma: ne, Hina Gode da logo doasi dagoi. Hina Gode Ea hamobeba: le, Yosiua da amo dunuma hame hasali, amola Yosiua da bogoloba, Hina Gode da amo dunu gadili hame sefasi.
Thus then Yahweh left these nations, not dispossessing them speedily, —neither had he delivered them into the hand of Joshua
