1 Abimelege da bogoi dagoloba, Doula (Bua ea mano amola Doudou ea aowa) da Isala: ili dunu amo gaga: musa: misi. Doula da Isaga fi dunu galu. E da Sia: ime moilai bai bagade Ifala: ime agolo soge ganodini esalu.
Now after Abimelech, Tola, the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, became the saviour of Israel; he was living in Shamir in the hill-country of Ephraim.
2 E da Isala: ili dunu huluane ode 23 amanega ouligisu. Amanoba, e da bogole, Sia: ime moilai bai bagade amo ganodini uli dogone sali.
He was judge over Israel for twenty-three years; and at his death his body was put to rest in the earth in Shamir.
3 Doula da bogobeba: le, Gilia: de dunu ea dio amo Ya: ie, da Isala: ili fi ouligima: ne misi. E da Isala: ili dunu ode 22 amoga ouligisu.
And after him came Jair the Gileadite, who was judge over Israel for twenty-two years.
4 Ea dunu mano 30 agoane esalu. Ilia da dougi 30 amo da: iya fila heda: su. Ilia da Gilia: de soge amo ganodini moilai bai bagade 30 agoane lai. Amo moilai bai bagade da wali amola da Ya: ie ea moilai ilia da sia: sa.
And he had thirty sons, who went on thirty young asses; and they had thirty towns in the land of Gilead, which are named Havvoth-Jair to this day.
5 Ya: ie da bogole, ilia da ea da: i hodo Ga: imone sogega uli dogone sali.
And at the death of Jair his body was put to rest in the earth in Kamon.
6 Isala: ili dunu da Hina Godema bu wadela: le hamoi. Ilia da ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi amo Ba: ile amola A: sadade elama nodone sia: ne gadoi. Amola ilia da Silia, Saidone, Moua: be, A:mone amola Filisidia dunu fi ilia ogogosu ‘gode’ ilima nodone sia: ne gadoi. Ilia Hina Gode amo fisili, Ema hame nodone sia: ne gadoi.
And again the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord, worshipping the Baals and Astartes, and the gods of Aram and the gods of Zidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the children of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines; they gave up the Lord and were servants to him no longer.
7 Amaiba: le, Hina Gode da Isala: ili dunu ilima ougi galu. E da Filisidini dunu amola A: mounaide dunu ili hasalima: ne, logo doasi dagoi.
And the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and he gave them up into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the children of Ammon.
8 Amo dunu da ode 18 amoga, Isala: ili dunu da A: moulaide soge Yodane Hano eso mabadili la: idi Gilia: de soge ganodini esalu, ilima gegene, se bagade iasu.
And that year the children of Israel were crushed under their yoke; for eighteen years all the children of Israel on the other side of Jordan, in the land of the Amorites which is in Gilead, were cruelly crushed down.
9 Amo hou baligili, A:mounaide dunu da Yodane Hano degele, Yuda fi, Bediamini fi amola Ifala: ime fi ilima gegesu. Isala: ili dunu da se bagade nabasu.
And the children of Ammon went over Jordan, to make war against Judah and Benjamin and the house of Ephraim; and Israel was in great trouble.
10 Amalalu, Isala: ili dunu da Hina Godema se nabawane wele sia: i. Ilia da amane sia: i, “Dafawane! Ninia da Dima wadela: le hamoi. Di da ninia Godedafa, be ninia da Di fisili, ogogosu Ba: ile ‘gode’ ilima nodone sia: ne gadosu.”
Then the children of Israel, crying out to the Lord, said, Great is our sin against you, for we have given up our God and have been servants to the Baals.
11 Hina Gode da ilia wele sia: i nabi. E da ilima bu adole i, amane, “Musa: , Idibidi dunu, A:moulaide dunu, A:mounaide dunu, Filisidini dunu,
And the Lord said to the children of Israel, Were not the Egyptians and the Amorites and the children of Ammon and the Philistines
12 Saidounia dunu, Ama: legaide dunu amola Ma: ionaide dunu da musa: dilima se bagade iasu. Dilia da Nama wele sia: beba: le, Na da hedolo dili fidila misi amola ili dili mae hasalasima: ne, dili gaga: i.
And the Zidonians and Amalek and Midian crushing you down, and in answer to your cry did I not give you salvation from their hands?
13 Be dilia da amo hou mae dawa: le, Na fisili, ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi ilima nodone sia: ne gadosu. Amaiba: le, Na da dili bu hame gaga: mu.
But, for all this, you have given me up and have been servants to other gods: so I will be your saviour no longer.
14 Dilia ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi ilima fa: no bobogemu hanaiba: le, defea, ilima wele sia: ma. Dilia se nabasea, ilia da dili gaga: mu da defea.”
Go, send up your cry for help to the gods of your selection; let them be your saviours in the time of your trouble.
15 Be Isala: ili dunu da Hina Godema amane sia: i, “Dafawane! Ninia da wadela: le hamoi dagoi. Dia hanaiga, ninima hamoma. Be wali eso nini gaga: ma.”
And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We are sinners; do to us whatever seems good to you: only give us salvation this day.
16 Amalalu, Isala: ili dunu da ga fi ilia ‘gode’ liligi ilia lai, amo fadegale, Hina Godema fawane fa: no bobogei. Amola Hina Gode da ilia se nabasu ba: beba: le, ilima asigiba: le se nabi.
So they put away the strange gods from among them, and became the Lord's servants; and his soul was angry because of the sorrows of Israel.
17 Amalalu, A:mounaide dadi gagui gilisisu da ilima gegemusa: misini, Gilia: de sogega fi dialu. Isala: ili dunu huluane da gilisili, Misiba moilai Gilia: de soge ganodini amoga, ilia awalia ahoasu moilai gagui.
Then the children of Ammon came together and put their army in position in Gilead. And the children of Israel came together and put their army in position in Mizpah.
18 Amogawi Isala: ili fi ouligisu dunu huluane da gilisili sia: dasu, amane, “Ninia A: mounaide dunu ilima gegesea, nowa da ninima bisili ilibi gagui hamoma: bela: ? Nowa dunu ninia da ilibi gaguma: ne ilegesea, e da Gilia: de soge ganodini esalebe dunu huluane ilima ouligisu ba: mu.”
And the people of Israel said to one another, Who will be the first to make an attack on the children of Ammon? We will make him head over all Gilead.
