1 Youna e da Gode Ea hamoi hou amo ba: le, amola ougi galu.
And it was vexing unto Jonah, with a great vexation, —and it angered him.
2 Amabeba: le, e amane Godema sia: ne gadoi. “Hina Gode! Na sia: Dia nabima! Na da na sogebi amo hame yolesi amola na da Dia wali hamoi amo dawa: i dagoi. Amaiba: le, na hobeale masunusa: dawa: iba: le na da Dasase amoga asi. Na dawa: , Gode Di da asigisu hou amo hamosa, amola hedolo hame ougisu hou amo hamosa, amola hedolo hame ougisa. Amola Di da bagade asigisa, amola Dia asigi dawa: su afadenene se iasu Dia ilegei amo mae ima: ne momagei ouesala.
So he prayed unto Yahweh, and said—Ah now! Yahweh! Was not, this, my word, while I was yet upon mine own soil? For this cause, did I hasten to flee unto Tarshish, —because I knew that, thou, art a GOD of favour and compassion, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and art grieved over calamity.
3 Hina Gode! Na esalusu amo Dia samogema! Na da bogomu goga da na hanai, amola esalumu hihi gala.
Now, therefore, O Yahweh, take, I pray thee, my life from me, —for it were better for me, to die, than, to live.
4 Gode da bu adole ba: i, “Abuliba: le di da ougibala: ?”
Then said Yahweh, Art thou rightly angry?
5 Be Youna da moilai bai bagade ea eso mabe gusudili la: idi amoga asili amola hisu diasu gaguli amola amo diasu ea ougiga esalea e da Ninefe amo ganodini adi hou doaga: ma: bela: le sosodolalu.
But Jonah, went forth, out of the city, and abode on the east side of the city; and made for himself there, a hut, and sat under it, in the shade, until he should see what would become of the city.

Now Yahweh God appointed a gourd, and caused it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shade over his head, to deliver him from his vexation, —and Jonah rejoiced over the gourd, with great rejoicing.
7 Be dia hahabe Gode Ea bugi amo bioma: ne, daba: asunasi. Amo daba: da bugi doagala: le, bugi da bioi amola bogoi.
But God appointed a worm, at the uprisings of the dawn, the next day, —and it smote the gourd, that it withered.
8 Be eso diga: gala: le amola Gode Ea dogoloi fo gia: i bagade eso mabe amodili diga: gala: i amoga, Youna ea busagi amo dogolole amola E da sidini, bogomu ba: i. Be Youna da bogoiyale dawa: i galu, amola E da amane sia: i, “Na da bogomu defea.”
And it came to pass, at the breaking forth of the sun, that God appointed a sultry east wind, and the sun smote upon the head of Jonah, that he became faint, —and asked his life, that he might die, and said, It were better for me, to die, than, to live.
9 Be Gode Ea ema amane sia: i. “Abuliba: le di da bugi bioiba: le ougibala: ?” Youna da amane sia: i, “Na da ougimu da defea! Na da ougili bogomu hanai!”
Then said God unto Jonah, Art thou rightly angry over the gourd? And he said, I am rightly angry, unto death.
10 Be Hina Gode da amane sia: i, “Goe bugi da gasi afadafa heda: le amola gasi enoga asi dagoi ba: i. Be dia da amo bugi hame hamoi, amola alema: ne hame hamoi. Be amomane dia da bugi amoma asigisa.
Then said Yahweh, Thou, wouldest have spared the gourd, for which thou hadst not toiled, neither hadst thou made it grow, —which, as the off-spring of a night, came up, and, as the offspring of a night, perished;
11 Be Ninefe amo ganodini dunu fi 120,000 amo baligi esala. Ilia da hame dawa: su dunu. Ohe fi amola bagade esala. Amaiba: le, Na da amo moilai bai bagade fi ilima abuliba: le hame asigima: bela: ? Na da ilima asigisa. Sia: Ama Dagoi
And was not, I, to spare Nineveh, the great city, —wherein are more than twelve times ten thousand human beings, who cannot discern between their right hand and their left, besides much cattle?
