< Yone 19 >
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged Him.
2 Dadi gagui dunu ilia da aya: gaga: nomei nodomene, habuga hamone, Yesu Ea dialuma da: iya figisi. Ilia da yoi abula ida: iwane gala Ema idiniginisi.
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head,
3 Yesu leloba amogawi misini, ilia amane sia: i, “Yu Hina Bagade! Mae bogole, esaloma!” Amalalu, ilia da Ea odagi loboga fai.
and threw a purple robe about Him, and said, "Hail king of the Jews," and struck Him with their hands.
Pilate therefore came out again, and saith unto them, Behold I bring Him out to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in Him.
So Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, "Behold the man."
When the chief priests therefore and the officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him." Pilate saith unto them, Take Him yourselves, and crucify Him: for I find no fault in Him.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made himself the Son of God.
Now when Pilate heard this he was the more afraid;
Be Yesu da bu hame adole i.
and went into the palace again, and saith to Jesus, From whence art thou? but Jesus gave him no answer.
Pilate therefore saith unto Him, Dost thou not speak to me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above; wherefore he, that delivered me up to thee, hath the greater sin.
Upon this Pilate sought to release Him; but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Cesar's friend; for whosoever maketh himself a king, opposeth Cesar.
Amo sogebi dio amo “Igi Fa: i.” (Hibulu sia: da Ga: bada.)
Therefore when Pilate heard this he brought Jesus forth, and sat down on the tribunal, in a place called the Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
(And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour.) And he saith to the Jews, Behold your king. But they cried out,
15 Ilia bu halale sia: i, “E medoma! E medoma!
Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar.
16 Amalalu, Bailade da Yesu bulufalegeiga fuga: musa: , ilima i dagoi.
Then delivered he Him therefore unto them to be crucified.
And they took Jesus, and led Him away. And He went out, bearing his cross, into a place called the place of a scull, in Hebrew Golgotha:
where they crucified Him, and with Him two others, one on each side, and Jesus in the middle.
19 Bailade da meloa dedene, ea dadi gagui dunu ilia da bulufalegeiga gosagisi. E amane dedei “Yesu Na: salede dunu. Yu dunu ilia Hina Bagade!”
And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross: and there was written, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Many of the Jews therefore read this inscription; for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
And the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Write not "The king of the Jews," but that "He said, I am king of the Jews."
22 Be Bailade da bu adole i, “Amo na dedei, na da dedei dagoi!”
Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
23 Ilia da Yesu bulufalegeiga dabagala: i dagoiba: le, dadi gagui dunu da Ea abula liligi huluane lale, biyaduyale agoane momogili, lai dagoi. Ea abuladafa, amo da disimusa: hame nodomei, afae fawane amuli.
And the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, (and made four parts, to each soldier a part, ) and his coat. Now the coat had no seam in it, being woven from the top throughout:
they said therefore to one another, Let us not cut it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, "They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots." These things therefore the soldiers did.
25 Yesu Ea ame, Ea ame eya Meli (Galiouba: se idua) amola Meli Ma: gadala, ilia da Yesu Ea bulufalegei bai amo gadenene lelu.
Now there stood near the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 Yesu da Ea ame amola Ea dogolegei na: iyado ado ba: su dunu, ela lelebe ba: loba, Ea amema amane sia: i, “Ame! Diagofe goea!”
Jesus therefore seeing his mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, saith to his mother, Woman, behold thy son:
27 Amalalu, Ea ado ba: su dunuma E amane sia: i, “Dia ame goea!” Amalalu, amoganini amo ado ba: su dunu da Yesu Ea ame, amo ea diasuga ouligisu.
and then saith to the disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour the same disciple took her to his own home.
28 Ea hawa hamosu huluane da dagoi, amo Yesu E dawa: i galu. Gode Sia: Dedei dafawaneyale hamoma: ne, E amane sia: i, “Na hano hanai galebe!”
After this Jesus knowing that all things were now finished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Ofodo amogawi dialu. Amo da waini hano amoga nabai galu. Amalalu, ilia da waini nasu amo ganodini abula gele, “hisobe” daguluga gosagili, Yesu moma: ne, Ea lafiga olelei.
Now there was set a vessel there full of vinegar: so they filled a spunge with the vinegar, and putting it upon hyssop, held it up to his mouth.
30 Waini hano nanu, Yesu amane sia: i, “Defea!
And when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished. And reclining his head, He yielded up the ghost.
The Jews therefore, that the bodies might not remain upon the cross on the sabbath-day, because it was now the preparation, (for that sabbath-day was an high-day) desired Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Amalalu, dadi gagui dunu da asili, musa: dunu ea emo gasa fili, asili eno dunu, ea emo gasa fi. Amo dunu ela da Yesu, gilisili bulufalegeiga fuga: i dagoi ba: i.
So the soldiers came, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with Him. But coming to Jesus,
as they saw He was dead already, they did not break his legs:
34 Be dadi gagui dunu afae da Yesu ea afo goge agei amoga sone, maga: me amola hano ahoanebe ba: i.
but one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.
And he that saw it testifieth it, and his testimony is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye may believe.
For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled, Not a bone of Him shall be broken.
37 Gode Ea Sia: eno dedei diala, “Dunu amo da E soi dagoi, ilia E ba: lalumu.”
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.
38 Amalalu, Yousefe, A:limadia dunu, e da Yesu Ea da: i hodo lamusa: , Bailadema adole ba: i. (Yousefe da Yesu ea fa: no bobogesu dunu esalu. Be e da Yu ouligisu dunu ilima beda: iba: le, wamowane fa: no bobogelalu.)
And after these things Joseph of Arimathea (who was a disciple of Jesus, but a concealed one for fear of the Jews) petitioned Pilate, that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him leave: he came therefore and took away the body of Jesus.
39 Nigoudimase (e da musa: gasia Yesuma masu dunu), e da30 gilougala: me agoane gabusiga: manoma legesu liligi aguni, Yousefe sigi asi.
And there came also Nicodemus (who at first came to Jesus by night) and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes about an hundred pound weight.
40 Amo dunu aduna, Yesu Ea da: i hodo lale, abulaga sosone, Yu dunu ilia bogoi ouligisu hou defele, gabusiga: manoma legei.
So they took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
41 Yesu Ea bogoi sogebi amogai da ifabi galu. Amo ganodini gaheabolo bogoi gele gelabo dogoi dialu (amo ganodini bogoi hodo da hamedafa sali).
Now there was a garden in the place where He was crucified; and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which none had ever yet been laid.
There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the Jews preparation-day; for the sepulchre was near.
