1 Na da sia: huluane amo ilia Hina Gode da na ilima alofele iasima: ne asunasi, amo dunu fi ilima olelei dagoi.
[So] I finished telling to the people that message from Yahweh our God.
2 Amalalu, A:salaia (Housia: ia egefe) amola Youha: ina: ne (Galia egefe) amola gasa fi dunu huluane da nama amane sia: i, “Di da ogogosa! Ninia Hina Gode da di nini Idibidi sogega esaloma: ne mae masa: ne sia: musa: , di hame asunasi.
But then Johanan and Azariah and some other insolent/arrogant men said to me, “You are lying! Yahweh our God has not told [us] that we should not go to Egypt!
3 Belage (Nilaia egefe) da di ninima hohonoma: ne, nenege degei dagoi. Bai e da Ba: bilone dunu da gasawane nini banenesili, nini medole legemu o Ba: bilone sogega afugili mugululi masunu, e da amo hanai galebe.”
[We think that] Baruch has urged/persuaded you to say this, in order that [if we stay here], the soldiers from Babylonia will seize us and kill us or take us to Babylonia.”
4 Amaiba: le, Youha: ina: ne amola dadi gagui ouligisu dunu amola fi dunu huluane da Hina Gode Ea sia: i (amo da ilia Yuda soge ganodini esaloma: ne) amo hame nabasu.
So Johanan and the other leaders of the [Israeli] soldiers and [many of] [HYP] the other people [who were there] refused to obey Yahweh’s command to stay in Judah.
5 Amalalu, Youha: ina: ne amola dadi gagui ouligisu huluane, da dunu huluane Yuda soge ganodini esalu, amola dunu eno musa: fifi asi gala amoga afagogole buhagi, amo huluane Idibidi sogega oule asi.
Johanan and all the [other] leaders gathered together all the people who had returned from the other countries to which they had been scattered.
6 Ilia da dunu amola uda amola mano amola hina bagade ea idiwi ilia, dunu huluanedafa Nebiusa: la: ida: ne da Gedalaia ouligima: ne yolesi, na amola Belage amola, ilia huluanedafa Idibidi sogega oule asi.
[They included] men, women, children, the king’s daughters, and all those whom Nebuzaradan had left with Gedaliah, and they also took Baruch and me.
7 Ilia da Hina Gode Ea sia: i mae nabawane, Idibidi sogega asili, Daha: banisi moilai bai bagadega doaga: i.
They refused to obey Yahweh, and they took us all [to Egypt], as far as Tahpenes [city].
8 Amogawi, Hina Gode da nama amane sia: i,
[While we were] at Tahpenes, Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
9 “Dia igi bagade ladili, Isala: ili dunu ba: ma: ne, laga osoboga hamoi ga: i (bricks) logo fa: i amo Felou ea hina bagade diasu midadi gala, amoga uli dogone salima.
“While the people of Judah are watching you, take some large rocks and bury them under the brick pavement at the entrance to the king’s palace there at Tahpenes.
10 Amasea, Isala: ili dunu ilima amane sia: ma, ‘Hina Gode Bagadedafa, Isala: ili fi ilia Gode, da amane sia: sa, Na da Na hawa: hamosu dunu Ba: bilone hina bagade Nebiuga: denese ema misa: ne sia: mu. Na da ea hina bagade fisu amo igi hagudu uli dogoi ganodini gala, amo da: iya gagumu. E da ea hina bagade dedebosu abula diasu amo da: iya gagumu.
Then say to the people of Judah, ‘This is what the Commander of the armies of angels, the God whom [you] Israelis [say you belong to], says: “I will summon Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon, who does my work, to come [with his army] to Egypt. I will set up his throne over these stones that I told Jeremiah to bury. And Nebuchadnezzar will set up his tent there [to show that he has become] the King [of Egypt].
11 E da misini, Idibidi fi ilima doagala: mu. Amola nowa da bogoma: ne ilegei, e da medole legemu. Nowa da udigili hawa: hamoma: ne ilegei, e da afugili oule masunu. Nowa da gobiheiga sone medole legema: ne ilegei, e da gobiheiga medole legemu.
When his [army] comes, they will attack Egypt. Then those will die who [I have determined] must die, those who [I have determined] must be captured will be captured, and those who [I have determined] must be killed by swords will be killed by swords.

Nebuchadnezzar’s [soldiers] will burn down the temples of the gods of Egypt. [But before they burn the temples], they will take away their idols [as souvenirs]. His [troops] will clean Egypt like a shepherd cleans lice from his cloak. They will tear down the sacred pillars that are in the temple of their sun god. And then Nebuchadnezzar’s [troops] will leave there, without having been harmed.”’”
13 E da sema dawa: ma: ne igi duni bugi Hilioubalisi moilai bai bagade Idibidi soge ganodini gala, amo wadela: lesimu, amola Idibidi dunu ilia ogogosu ‘gode’ ilia debolo amo laluga ulagimu.
