1 Na da dunu huluane ilima Hina Gode ea sia: i amane olelei, “Nowa dunu da Yelusaleme ganodini ouesalea, e da gegesu o ha: bagade o olosu amoga bogomu. Be nowa da gadili ahoasea, Ba: bilone fi ilima e gagulaligima: ne olelesea, e da medole legei dagoi hame ba: mu. E da esalumu. Na da Hina Gode Ea sia: i eno ilima olelei, amane,” Na da moilai bai bagade amo Ba: bilone dadi gagui wa: i ilima imunu, amola ilia da huluane gesowale lale dagomu.” Siefadaia (Ma: da: ne egefe), Gedalaia (Ba: sie egefe), Yihuga: le (Sielemaia egefe) amola Ba: sie (Ma: legaia egefe) ilia da na sia: nabi dagoi.
And, when Shephatiah son of Mattan and Gedaliah son of Pashhur and Jucal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malchiah, heard the words which Jeremiah was speaking unto all the people saying:
Thus saith Yahweh, He that remaineth in this city shall die, by sword by famine, or by pestilence, —whereas, he that goeth forth unto the Chaldeans, shall live, so shall he have his life for a spoil, and shall live.
Thus, saith Yahweh, —This city shall surely be given, into the hand of the force of the king of Babylon, and he shall capture it.
4 Amalalu, ilia da hina bagadema asili, amane sia: i, “Amo dunu medole legemu da defea. E da amane sia: dalebeba: le, dadi gagui dunu da beda: su laha. Amola e da dunu huluane moilai ganodini esalebe, ilima ili beda: ma: ne sia: sa. E da dunu hame fidisa. E da ili se nabima: ne fawane hanai galebe.”
Then said the princes unto the king, —Let this man we pray thee, be put to death, for in this way, is he weakening the hands of the men of war who are left in this, city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking unto them such words as these; for, this man, is not seeking prosperity for this people but misfortune.
5 Hina bagade Sedegaia da amane adole i, “Defea! Dilia hanaiga ema hamoma! Na da dilia logo ga: musa: hame dawa: !”
Then said King Zedekiah, —Lo! he is in your hand; for the king is not one who is able to do anything against you.
6 Amaiba: le, ilia da na gagulaligili, efega la: gili, hina bagade egefe Ma: legaia amo ea hano uli dogoi ganodini sanasi. Hano uli dogoi ganodini da hano hame dialu, fafu fawane dialebe ba: i. Amo ganodini na da bosona sa: i dagoi.
Then took they Jeremiah and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah son of the king, which was in the guard-court, and they let Jeremiah down with ropes, —now, in the dungeon, was no water only mire, so Jeremiah sank in the mire.
7 Be Ibedemilege (amo da Suda: ne soge gulusu danai dunu, e da hina bagade diasu ganodini hawa: hamonanu), ilia da na hano uli dogoi ganodini sanasi amo nabi. Amo esoga, hina bagade da Bediamini Logo Ga: su amoga fofada: su hamonanu.
When Ebed-melech the Ethiopian one of the eunuchs, he being in the house of the king, heard that they had delivered Jeremiah into the dungeon, —the king being seated in the gate of Benjamin,
8 Amaiba: le, Ibedemilege da amoga asili, hina bagadema amane sia: i,
then went forth Ebed-melech out of the house of the king, and spake unto the king, saying:
9 “Hina bagade! Amo dunu ilia da wadela: le hamoi. Ilia da Yelemaia amo hano uli dogoi amo ganodini sanasi. Amogawi, e da dafawane bogomu. Bai moilai bai bagade amo ganodini da ha: i manu hame gala.”
My lord, O King! wickedly, have these men done all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom indeed they have cast into the dungeon, —since he would have died where he was because of the famine, for there is no bread any longer, in the city.
10 Amalalu, hina bagade Sedegaia da Ibedemilege ema e da dunu udiana oule asili, na bogosa: besa: le, hano uli dogoi amoga hiougili gadoma: ne sia: i.
Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian saying, —Take with thee from hence thirty men, and lift Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon before he die.
11 Amaiba: le, Ibedemilege da amo dunu oule asili, hina bagade liligi ligisisu diasu amoga hea abula lale, efega la: gili nama sanasi.
So Ebed-melech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence pieces of cast-off clothes, and old rags, —and let them down unto Jeremiah in the dungeon with the ropes.
12 E da na efega se nabasa: besa: le, amo hea abula na lobo haguduga ligisima: ne sia: i. Na da amo hamoi dagoi.
Then said Ebed-melech the Ethiopian unto Jeremiah, —Put, I pray thee the pieces of cast-off clothes and the old rags under thine arm-joints, under the ropes, And Jeremiah did so,
13 Amalalu, ilia da efega na hano uli dogoi yolesima: ne, hiougili gadoi. Fa: no na da hina bagade diasu gagoi amo ganodini gagili ga: i agoane esalebe ba: i.
Then drew they Jeremiah with the ropes, and lifted him up out of the dungeon, —and Jeremiah remained in the guard-court.
14 Eso enoga, hina bagade Sedegaia da, ilia na Debolo ea logo osoda amoga oule misa: ne sia: i. E da nama amane sia: i, “Na da dima adole ba: mu galebe. Di da dafawane sia: huluanedafa nama ima.”
Then King Zedekiah sent and fetched Jeremiah the prophet unto him, in the third entrance, which is in the house of Yahweh, —and the king said unto Jeremiah—I am going to ask thee a thing, do not hide anything from me.
15 Na da bu adole i, “Na da dafawane sia: huluanedafa dima sia: sea, di da na medole legemusa: sia: mu. Amola na da dima fada: i sia: adole iasea, di da amo sia: hame lalegagumu.”
Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, When I tell thee, wilt thou not, surely put me to death? And when I counsel thee, thou wilt not hearken unto me.
16 Amaiba: le, hina bagade Sedegaia da wamowane nama amane sia: ne ilegei, “Na da Fifi Ahoanusu Gode E (amo Gode da esalusu ninima iasu) amo Ea Dioba: le agoane ilegesa. Na da di hamedafa medole legemu. Amola na da dunu amo di medole legemusa: hanai, amo ilia lobo da: iya di hame iasimu.”
So King Zedekiah aware unto Jeremiah secretly saying, —By the life of Yahweh who made for us, this soul, I will in no wise put thee to death, Neither will I deliver thee into the hand of these men who are seeking thy life.
17 Amalalu, na da Sedegaiama, Hina Gode Bagadedafa, Isala: ili fi ilia Gode, amo Ea sia: alofele sia: i, “Di da Ba: bilone hina bagade ea ouligisu dunu amo di gagulaligima: ne ahoasea, di da hame bogomu amola amo moilai bai bagade laluga ulagi dagoi hame ba: mu. Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah—Thus, saith Yahweh God of hosts, God of Israel—If thou wilt, indeed go forth, unto the princes of the king of Babylon, then shall thine own soul live, and, this city, shall not be burned with fire, —but thou shalt live, thou and thy house.

But, if thou wilt not go forth unto the princes of the king of Babylon, then shall this city be delivered into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and, thou, shalt not escape out of their hand.
19 Be hina bagade da nama bu adole i, “Na da ninia fi dunu amo da hohonone, Ba: bilone dadi gagui fidimusa: asi, ilima beda: i galebe. Amabela: ? Ba: bilone dunu da na ilima ianu, ilia da nama se bagade imunu.”
Then said King Zedekiah unto Jeremiah: I am afraid of the Jews who have fallen away unto the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me, into their hand, and they maltreat me.
20 Na da ema amane sia: i, “Ilia da di amo dunuma hame imunu. Dia Hina Gode Ea adole iasu nabima: ne, na da dima edegesa. Amasea, di da hahawane ba: mu, amola dia esalusu hame fisimu.
But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver!—Hearken I pray thee unto the voice of Yahweh in what I am speaking unto thee, that it may be well with thee and thy soul live.
21 Be Hina Gode da na esala ba: su amo ganodini, di ilima gagulaligima: ne hame olesea, fa: no misunu hou nama olelei.
But if thou art refusing to go forth, this, is the thing which Yahweh hath shewed me: —
22 Na esala ba: su ganodini, na da uda huluane Yuda hina bagade diasu ganodini hame bogoi esalebe amo huluane Ba: bilone hina bagade ea dadi gagui ouligisu dunu ilima doaga: ma: ne, oule ahoanebe ba: i. Ilia da ahoasea, sia: dalebe nabima, amane, ‘Hina bagade ea dogolegei dunu ilia da ema ogogoi. Ilia da ea sia: banenesi dagoi. Amola e da wali fafuga bosona sa: i dagoiba: le, ea dogolegei ilia da e yolesi dagoi.”
behold, then, all the women that are left in the house of the king of Judah, brought forth unto the princes of the king of Babylon, —and, those very women, saying, The men thou wast wont to salute, have goaded thee on and prevailed upon thee, —Thy foot having sunk in the mire, they have turned away back.
23 Amasea, na da eno amane sia: i, “Dia uda amola mano huluane da Ba: bilone dunu ilima oule asi dagoi ba: mu. Amola ilia da di gagulaligimu. Ba: bilone hina bagade da di udigili hawa: hamosu hamoma: ne gagulaligimu, amola e da Yelusaleme laluga nene dagoma: ne ulagimu.”
Yea thou shalt behold all thy wives and thy children brought forth unto the Chaldeans, and thou, shalt not escape out of their hand, —but by the hand of the king of Babylon, shalt thou be taken, and, this city, shall be burned with fire.
24 Sedegaia da bu adole i, “Di da nama sia: dalebe amo eno dunuma maedafa olelema. Amasea, di da mae bogole, esalumu.
Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah—Do not let, any man, know of these words, and thou shalt not die.
25 Eagene ouligisu dunu da na da dima sia: dalu nabasea, ilia da misini amola adi sia: dalula: adole ba: mu. Ilia da di da sia: huluane ilima adosea, di mae medole legema: ne ilegele sia: mu.
But, when the princes hear that I have spoken with thee and they come in unto thee and say unto thee—Do tell us we pray thee what thou didst speak unto the king, do not hide it from us so will we not put thee to death, —and what spake the king unto, thee?
26 Be di amane sia: ma, ‘Na da Sedegaiama e da na bogoma: ne, bu gagili ga: i diasuga mae asunasima: ne edegenanoma: ne fawane sia: i.’”
Then shalt thou say unto them, —I was causing my supplication to fall prostrate before the king, —that he would not cause me to return to the house of Jonathan, to die there.
27 Amalalu, ouligisu dunu huluane da nama misini, nama adole ba: i. Na da hina bagade Sedegaia ea nama sia: i liligi defele, ilima bu adole i. Ilia da eno hou hamoma: ne hame ba: i. Bai dunu eno da ania sia: dasu hame nabi.
Then came in all the princes unto Jeremiah and asked him, and he told them according to all these words which the king, had commanded, —so they turned in silence from him, for the matter, had not been reported.
28 Amola na da hina bagade diasu gagoi ganodini udigili hawa: hamosu dunu agoane hamonanebe ba: i. Ba: bilone dunu da Yelusaleme lai dagoiba: le fawane yolesi.
So Jeremiah remained in the guard-court, until the day when Jerusalem, was captured; thus it fell out when Jerusalem, was captured.
