Ya:mese 3
1 Na fi dunu! Dilia fi ganodini dunu bagahame fawane olelesu hou lamu da defea. Gode da nini olelesu dunu ninima fofada: su hou da eno dunuma fofada: su hou baligimu, amo dilia dawa:
Be not many teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment.
2 Ninia huluane da giadofasu hou eso bagohame hamosa. Be nowa da giadofasu hame hamosa, amo dunu da moloidafa hamoi amola e da hi da: i hodo liligi huluane amoma ouligisu esala, amo ba: sa.
For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.
3 Ninia da hosi ema nabasu hou olelema: ne amola logo eno logo eno amoga hiougima: ne, hosi ea lafi amo ganodini ouli genonesisu liligi sala
Now if we put the horses’ bridles into their mouths, that they may obey us, we turn about their whole body also.
4 Dusagai bagade dawa: ma! Amo da liligi bagade. E da fo bagade amoga fabeba: le ahoa. Be “lada” fonobahadi amoga genonesisu dunu da dusagai logo eno logo eno amoga hiougisa.
Behold, the ships also, though they are so great, and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whither the impulse of the steersman willeth.
5 Dunu ilia gona: su da agoaiwane diala. Gona: su da fonobahadi, be e da gasa fi bagade sia: musa: dawa: Lalu fonobahadi da nene heda: le, iwila bagade da nene dagosu dawa:
So the tongue also is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how much wood is kindled by how small a fire!
6 Gona: su da lalu agoane. Amo da wadela: i liligi ninia da: i hodo ganodini. Wadela: i sia: sia: beba: le, ninia da: i hodo liligi huluanedafa da wadela: sa. Helo lalu da gona: su amoga dunu ilia esalusu huluane gia: iwane nenana. (Geenna g1067)
And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell. (Geenna g1067)
7 Osobo bagade dunu da fi liligi huluane fofomusa: dawa: Ilia da ohe fi, sio fi, sania fi amola menabo fi, huluane fofomusa: dawa:
For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind:
8 Be dunu da gona: su ea hou fofomusa: hame dawa: Gona: su da wadela: idafa, nabasu hou hame dawa: amola saya: be ea bogosu defo hano agoane nabai gala.
but the tongue can no man tame; [it is] a restless evil, [it is] full of deadly poison.
9 Ninia gona: su afadafa amoga ninia gilisili ninia Hina Gode amola Ada, amoma nodone sia: sa amola ninia na: iyado dunu amo Gode da hi ba: su amo defele hamoi, ilima ninia da gagabusu aligima: ne sia: sa.
Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the likeness of God:
10 Nodosu sia: amola wadela: ma: ne gagabusu sia: da gilisili lafi afadafa amoga maha. Na fi dunu! Amo da noga: i hame.
out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Hano nasu afadafa amoga hano ida: iwane amola hano gamogaiwane, gilisili dimu da hamedei.
Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet [water] and bitter?
12 Figi ifa da olife fage hame legesa. Waini efe da figi fage hame legesa. Gamogai hano nasu amoga hano ida: iwane dimu da hamedei galebe.
Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a vine figs? neither [can] salt water yield sweet.
13 Dunu afae da dilia gilisisu amo ganodini bagade dawa: su hou amola asigi hou lalegagui esalabela: ? Defea! E da ea fonoboiwane amola dawa: iwane hou amoga ea hou da moloidafa olelemu da defea.
Who is wise and understanding among you? let him shew by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom.
14 Be dia dogo ganodini mudasu hou, ougi hou amola uasu hou, amo galea, di da dafawane hou amoma ogogosa: besa: le, di da hidale amola ogogole bagade dawa: su hou lai dagoi maedafa sia: ma!
But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.
15 Agoaiwane bagade dawa: su hou da Hebene amogainini hame maha. Amo dawa: su hou da A: silibuga hame olelei, osobo bagade hou fawane. Amo hou da Fio a: silibu fawane olelesa.
This wisdom is not [a wisdom] that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 Be dunu ilia hou amo ganodini mudasu hou amola uasu hou ba: sea, wadela: i hou amola wili gala: su hou da gilisili ba: mu.
For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.
17 Be bagade dawa: su hou amo Hebenega mabe hou da ledo hame ba: sa. Amo hou da olofosu hou, gebewane hou, na: iyado hou amola asigidafa hou, agoaiwane ba: sa. Amo bagade dawa: su hou dialebeba: le, dunu ilia fidisu hou bagade hamonanebe ba: sa. Bagade dawa: su dunu da eno dunu hame higale ba: sa amola ilia hou da bagadedafa ilisu da hidale hame olelesa.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
18 Fedege agoane, olofosu dunu da olofosu hawa: agoane bugibiba: le, hou ida: iwane ha: i manu agoane faisa.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.
