1 Hina Gode da fedege sia: amane sia: sa, “Ba: bilone! Dia fisu amo fisili, osoboga aligila sa: ili amola osobo su amoga fima. Di da musa: a:fini dunu hame dawa: digi agoane galu. Di da musa: moilai bai bagade, eno dunuga hame hasanasi agoane galu. Be wali dia da asaboi amola noga: iwane ba: su hame gala. Di da bu udigili hawa: hamosu dunu agoai hamoi dagoi.
Down—and sit in the dust, O virgin Daughter of Babylon, Sit on the ground—throneless, Daughter of the Chaldeans; For thou shalt no more be called Tender and Dainty.
2 Widi goudasu igi sisiga: su bebesoma! Widi goudama! Dia abula sawa: figisu fadegama! Dia abula sosone noga: idafa gisa: ma! Hano degemusa: , dia gaeya gogomone gadoma.
Take millstones, and grind meal, —Put back thy veil—tuck up thy train Bare the leg, wade through streams:

Bared shall be thy shame, Yea seen thy reproach, —An avenging, will I take, And will accept no son of earth.
4 Isala: ili ilia Hadigi Gode da ninia hahawane dogolegele masa: ne, logo doasisa. Ea dio da Hina Gode Bagadedafa.
Our Redeemer, Yahweh of hosts, is his name! The Holy One of Israel.
5 Hina Gode da Ba: bilone fi ilima amane sia: sa, “Di ouiya: le gasi ganodini fima. Musa: ilia da di da fifi asi gala huluane ilima hina bagade uda, ilia sia: i. Be agoane bu hame sia: mu.
Sit silent, and get into darkness, Daughter of the Chaldeans! For thou shalt no more be called Mistress of Kingdoms.

I had been provoked with my people, Had profaned mine inheritance, And given them into thy hand, …Thou shewedst them no compassion, Upon the elder, madest thou very heavy thy yoke.
7 Di da eso huluane hina bagade uda agoane esalumusa: dawa: i gala. Be di da dia hou hamobe, amola fa: no misunu hou hame dawa: i.
And thou saidst, Unto times age-abiding, shall I be Mistress, —Insomuch that thou laidst not these things to thy heart, Didst not keep in mind the issue thereof,
8 Ba: bilone! Hahawane hedesu hou hanai dunu! Nabima! Di da hahawane gagili sali dagoi dawa: lala. Dia da Gode defele, gasa bagadedafa esala, amola osobo bagadega eno fi di defele hame esala dawa: lala. Di da didalo hamone, amola dia mano huluane fisimu amo hamedafa dawa: i galu.
Now, therefore hear this, Thou Lady of pleasure Who dwelleth securely, Who saith in her heart, —I, [am], and there is no one besides, I shall not sit a widow, Nor know loss of children.
9 Be hedolodafa eso afadafa amoga, amo hou aduna da dima doaga: mu. Di da fefedoasu hou bagade hamomu, be digua amola mano fisimu.
Yet shall there come to thee—both these, in a moment, in one day, Loss of children and widowhood, —To their full, have they come on thee, Spite of the mass of thine incantations, Spite of the great throng of thy spells.
10 Dia da wadela: i hou hamobeba: le, disu da defele dawa: i galu. Dia hou da enoga ba: mu da hamedei agoane dawa: i galu. Dia da dia bagade dawa: su hou amoma fa: no bobogebeba: le, giadofale asi. Di da dima amane sia: i, “Na da Gode. Eno fi na defele da hame esala.”
And so thou didst trust in thy wickedness, Thou saidst, no one, seeth me, Thy wisdom and knowledge, the same, seduced thee, —Therefore saidst thou in thy heart, I [am], and there is no one besides.
11 Di da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu. Amola dia fefedoasu hou da dia dafasu gaga: mu gogolei. Wadela: su hou, amo di da hamedafa dawa: i galu, da dima doaga: mu.
Therefore shall come on thee—Mischief, Thou shalt not know how to charm it away Yea there shall fall on thee, Ruin, Thou shalt not be able to appease it, —And there shall come on thee suddenly. Desolation. Thou shalt not know.
12 Defea! Gabi liligi amola yagono dawa: su liligi mae fisili gaguma! Dia manohadi esoga, di da amo liligi amoga hamosu. Amabela: ? Amo liligi da di fidima: bela: ? Amoga hamosea, dia ha lai dunu da beda: ma: bela: ? Hamefa!
Take thy stand, I pray thee, With thy spells. And with the throng of thine incantations wherein thou hast wearied thyself from thy youth, —Peradventure thou mayest be able to profit Peradventure thou mayest strike me with terror.
13 Dunu eno da dima fada: i sia: olelesa, be di da gasa hame ba: sa. Dia gasumuni ilia hou hogosu dunu da misini, di gaga: mu da defea. Ilia da gasumuni ilia hou hogole, amola mu amo ea alalo defei ba: sa. Amasea, oubi afae afae hobea dilima doaga: mu hou olelesa.
Thou hast worn thyself out with the mass of thy consultations, —Let them take their stand I pray thee that they may save thee—The dividers of the heavens—The gazers at the stars, They who make known by new moons, Somewhat of the things which shall come upon thee.
14 Be ilia da bioi gisi agoane foga mini asi dagoi ba: mu. Amola, lalu da ili nemu. Ilia da ilisu gaga: mu hamedei ba: mu. Amo lalu sawa: da baligili gia: iba: le, ilia da amoga udigili dogolomu hamedei agoane ba: mu.
Lo! they have become as straw—a fire, hath burned them up, They shall not deliver their own soul from the grasp of the flame, —There is, no live coal to warm them, nor blaze to sit before.
15 Dilia da dia esalusu eso huluane ganodini, amo gasumuni ba: la: lusu dunu ilia sia: ne iasu hogosu. Be ilia da di fidimu hame dawa: Ilia da di fisili, difawane da dia logo hogoi helema: ne yolesimu. Afae da di gaga: mu hamedafa ba: mu.”
Such, have they become to thee, with whom thou hast wearied thyself, —Thy merchants—from thy youth, will every man stagger straight onwards—There is none to save thee.
