1 Hina Gode da amane sia: i “Dama: sagase da moilai bai bagadedafa agoane bu hame ba: mu. E da wadela: lesi dagoi, isu legesu agoane ba: mu.
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
2 Silia moilai bai bagade huluane da wadela: lesi dagoiba: le, amo ganodini fa: no ahoanu dunu da hamedafa esalumu. Sibi amola bulamagau fawane da amo ganodini gisi manu, amola amo enoga sefasimu da hamedei ba: mu.
The cities of Aroer [are] forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make [them] afraid.
3 Isala: ili fi amo gaga: mu da hamedei ba: mu, amola Silia hina bagade da Dama: sagase moilai bai bagade ganodini hame ba: mu. Silia dunu bagahamedafa esalebe da Isala: ili dunu defele, gogosia: i dafawane ba: mu. Na, Hina Gode Bagadedafa, da sia: i dagoi.”
The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
4 Hina Gode da amane sia: i, “Isala: ili fi da wali gasa bagade. Be eso da misunu, amoga ilia gasa da ebelei dagoi ba: mu, amola ilia bagade gagui hou da afadenene, hamedafa gagui agoane ba: mu.
And in that day it shall come to pass, [that] the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
5 Isala: ili da gagoma ifabi Lefa: ime soge ganodini amoga gagoma da faili, hedofale, nabado agoane dialebe agoane ba: mu.
And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
6 Dunu bagahame fawane esalebe ba: mu. Isala: ili soge da olife ifa amoga fage huluane da fai dagoi, be ifa gadodili fage afae afae o dudu amoda amoga fage afae afae dialebe, ea dunu fi da agoaiwane ba: mu. Na, Isala: ili Hina Gode, da sia: i dagoi.”
Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two [or] three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four [or] five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
7 Amo eso da doaga: sea, Isala: ili dunu da ilia Hahamosu dunu, Hadigi Isala: ili Gode Ema sinidigili, E da ili fidima: ne Ema adole ba: mu.
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
8 Ilia da wali ‘oloda’ ilia loboga hamoi (amo da ogogosu uda ‘gode’ liligi A: sela dawa: digisu liligi amola amoga gabusiga: manoma gobemusa: hamoi) amoga dafawaneyale dawa: sa. Be amo esoga ilia da amo hou fisimu.
And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect [that] which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
9 Amo eso da doaga: sea, noga: le gaga: i moilai da fisi dagoi ba: mu. Amola Haifa: ide amola A: moulaide dunu da musa: Isala: ili dunuma hobea: iba: le, ilia moilai bai bagade da fisi dagoi amola wadela: lesi dagoi ba: i, amo defele, Isala: ili moilai bai bagade da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu.
In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
10 Isala: ili fi dunu! Dilia da Gode, dilia Gaga: su dunu, E da igi bagadedafa agoane dili gaga: sa, amo dilia da gogolei. Be Ema mae dawa: le, dilia da ga fi ogogosu ‘gode’ liligi ilima sia: ne gadomusa: , sema ifabi bugisa.
Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
11 Be fedege agoane, amo bugi da hahabe dilia bugi amo ganodini sono heda: le, fage legela: loba, dilia da fage faimu hame ba: la: loba. Be bidi hamosu amola maedafa uhima: ne se nabasu fawane ba: mu.
In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: [but] the harvest [shall be] a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
12 Gasa bagade dunu fifi asi gala da gasa bagade fili, gegemusa: manebeba: le, hano wayabo bagade ea gafului bagade sia: defele naba.
Woe to the multitude of many people, [which] make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, [that] make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13 Ilia da hano gafului foga ahoabe defele manebe, be Gode da gagabole sia: beba: le, ilia da sinidigili hobeasa. Ilia da osobo su o gisi bioi, foga mini asi, amo ea ahoabe defele ba: sa.
The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but [God] shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
14 Daeya ilia manebeba: le, dunu huluane da beda: i bagade. Be hahabe doaga: sea, ilia da asi dagoi ba: mu. Nowa da ninia soge wadela: lesili, liligi huluane lamusa: dawa: sea, da agoaiwane wadela: lesili hamedafa ba: mu.
And behold at eveningtide trouble; [and] before the morning he [is] not. This [is] the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
