1 Musa: , Ifala: ime fi da sia: beba: le, Isala: ili fi eno da beda: i galu. Ilia da Ifala: ime fi ilima nodone ba: i. Be ilia da Ba: ilema nodone sia: ne gadobeba: le, wadela: le hamoi. Amo hamobeba: le, ilia da bogosu dabe lamu.
“When Ephraim speaks tremblingly, He has been lifted up in Israel, When he becomes guilty in Ba‘al he dies.
2 Ilia da wadela: i hou hamonana. Ilia da loboga ogogole ouli ‘gode’ hamone, ilima nodone sia: ne gadomusa: , hamosa. Ilia silifaga ogogole ‘gode’ hamosa. Amo ilia da asigi dawa: su ganodini dawa: le, loboga hamosa. Amasea, ilia da amane sia: sa, “Amoga gobele salasu hou hamoma!” Mafua dunu da habodane udigili loboga hamoi bulamagau gawali amo nonogoma: bela: ?
And now they sin, And make for themselves a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding—idols, A work of artisans—all of it, Of them they say, who [are] sacrificers among men, The calves let them kiss.

Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.
4 Hina Gode da amane sia: sa, “Na da dilia Hina Gode! Na da dili Idibidi sogega esalu fisili masa: ne gadili asunasi. Dilia da eno Gode hame, Na fawane. Nisu da dilia Gaga: su Dunu.
And I [am] your God YHWH from the land of Egypt, And you do not know a God besides Me, And a Savior—there is none except Me.
5 Na da hafoga: i wadela: i soge ganodini dili ouligi.
I have known you in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.

They are satiated according to their feedings, They have been satiated, And their heart is lifted up, Therefore they have forgotten Me,

And I am to them as a lion, I look out as a leopard by the way.

I meet them as a bereaved bear, And I tear the enclosure of their heart, And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field tears them.
9 Isala: ili fi dunu! Na da dili wadela: lesimu. Amasea, dili fidima: ne, nowa esalabala?
You have destroyed yourself, O Israel, But in Me [is] your help;
10 Dilia da hina bagade amola ouligisu dunu lama: ne adole ba: su. Be ilia da habodane dilia fi gaga: ma: bela: ?
Where [is] your king now—And he saves you in all your cities? And your judges of whom you said, Give a king and heads to me?
11 Na da dilima ougiba: le, hina bagade ili dilima i. Amola Na da baligiliwane ougiba: le, amo hina bagade ili fadegai.
I give to you a king in My anger, And I take away in My wrath.
12 Isala: ili ea wadela: i hou da dedena sa: i dagoi, amola amo dedena sa: i da noga: le momagele legei diala.
Bound up [is] the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden [is] his sin,
13 Isala: ili da fifi masunu gala. Be e da gagaouiba: le, fifi masunu da hamedei ba: mu. E da mano dudubu lalelegemu gadenei gala, amo da ea ame ea hagomo yolesimu hihini dialebe, amo agoaiwane gala.
Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He [is] not a wise son, For he does not remain [at] the time for the breaking forth of sons.
14 Na da amo fi dunu da bogoi soge amoga mae sa: ima: ne amola bogosu ea gasaga mae fama: ne, hamedafa gaga: mu. Bogosu! Dia olo gia: su amo oule misa! Bogoi soge! Dia wadela: su oule misa! Na da amo dunu fi ilima bu hame asigimu. (Sheol )
Will I ransom them from the hand of Sheol? Will I redeem them from death? Where [is] your plague, O death? Where your destruction, O Sheol? Comfort is hid from My eyes. (Sheol )
15 Be Isala: ili da wadela: i gagalobo defele, hahawane heda: i dagoi ba: sa ganiaba, Na da gia: i bagade gusudili mabe fo hafoga: i sogega misi amo iasili, amo da ilia gu hano bubuga: su amola hano uli dogoi hafoga: mu. Amo fo da ilia noga: i liligi huluanedafa mini fasimu.
Though he produces fruit among brothers, An east wind comes in, a wind of YHWH, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it dries up his fountain, And his spring becomes dry, It—it spoils a treasure—every desirable vessel.
16 Samelia fi da Nama lelei dagoiba: le, ilia da se dabe iasu ba: ma: mu. Samelia fi dunu da gegesu ganodini bogomu. Mano dudubu da osoba gisalugala: i dagoi ba: mu. Amola abula agui uda ilia da: i da dudugai dagoi ba: mu.”
Samaria becomes desolate, Because she has been rebellious against her God, They fall by sword, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!”
