1 Hina Gode da balofede dunu Ha: bagage ema sia: ne iasu iasi.
The prophecy which Habakkuk the prophet foresaw.
2 “Hina Gode! Na da habowali seda Dima fidima: ne wema: bela: ? Ba: bilone dunu da ninima bagadewane gegene nimi daha. Di da habogala na wesu nabalu, nini gaga: ma: bela: ?
How long, O Lord, have I entreated [thee], and thou wouldst not hear? [how long] shall I cry out unto thee [because of] violence, and thou wilt not save?
3 Dia da abuliba: le na da bidi hamosu bagadedafa ba: ma: ne hamosala: ? Dia da abuliba: le agoai wadela: i hamosu hou udigili ba: lala: ? Gugunufinisisu hou amola gegene nimi dasu hou huluane da na sisiga: sa. Amola gegesudafa amola sia: ga gegesu da soge huluane nabalesi diala.
Why wilt thou let me see wickedness, and wilt look on trouble, and the robbery and violence [that are] before me: while there is strife, and contention lifteth up [its head]?
4 Fofada: su hou da gasa hame amola hamedei agoane ba: sa. Moloidafa hou hamobe da hamedafa ba: sa. Wadela: i hamosu dunu da moloidafa hamosu dunu ilima osa: le heda: sa. Amaiba: le, moloidafa fofada: su da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: sa.
Therefore is the law powerless, and justice cometh not forth victorious; for the wicked encompasseth about the righteous; therefore doth justice come forth perverted.
5 Amalalu, Hina Gode da Ea fi dunu ilima amane sia: i, “Dilia fifi asi gala huluane dilima sisiga: i dialebe, amo mae fisili, ba: laloma. Amasea, dilia da fofogadigimu. Bai, Na da hou bagade hamomu. Amola dilia da amo hamobe dilia gega nabimu ganiaba, dafawaneyale hame dawa: la: loba. Amaiba: le, ba: laloma!
Look ye about among the nations, and behold and be astonished and astounded; for [God] will fulfill a work in your days, ye would not believe it, if it were only told you.
6 Ba: bilone dunu da nimi bagade dodona: gi dunu. Amo dunu fi da eno osobo bagade fi ouligimusa: , Na da ilima gasa iaha. Ilia da eno soge hasanasimusa: , osobo bagadeba: le mogodigili ahoa.
For, lo, I will raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and impetuous nation, that march to the wide spaces of the earth to conquer dwelling-places that are not theirs.
7 Ilia habi ahoasea, dunu huluane da beda: gia: sa. Ilia da gasa fili, ilisu da ouligisu hou gagui dagoi dawa: lala.
Terrible and dreadful are they: from themselves go forth their judicial laws and their dignity.
8 Ilia hosi ilia hehenasu hou da ‘lebade’ ea hehenasu baligisa, amola ilia ougi hou da wufi wa: me ea ha: iba: le ougi baligisa. Ilia hosi da: iya fila heda: i dadi gagui dunu da soge badilia amoga manebe ba: sa. Ilia hosi da osoba gidilagidilasa. Ilia da buhibaga sage famusa: dabe, amo defele, gogili daha.
And swifter than leopards are their horses, and fiercer than the evening wolves; and their horsemen spread themselves abroad: and their horsemen will come from afar; they will fly like the eagle hastening to eat.
9 Ilia dadi gagui wa: i da gegene nimi dahawane midadi mogodigili ahoa. Amola dunu huluane da ilia mabeba: le beda: sa. Ilia doagala: le samogele lai dunu ilia idi da sa: iboso defele, idimu gogolei ba: sa.
They all will come for violence: the front of their faces is like the east wind, and they gather captives as the sand.
10 Ilia da hina bagade ilima higale ba: sa, amola ouligisudafa dunu amoba: le oufesega: sa. Gagili sali diasu da ilia logo hedofamu hamedei. Ilia da amo ea gagoi beba: le osobo gasa: le lelegela heda: le amodili golili sa: ili, doagala: le laha.
And they will make sport with kings, and princes will be a play unto them: at every strong-hold will they laugh, and they will cast up earth-mounds and capture it.
11 Amasea, ilia da fo ahoabe defele, bu asi dagoi ba: mu. Amo dunu ilia gasa da ilima ‘gode’ gala.
Then doth their spirit become arrogant, and they are surpassingly proud, and offend, [imputing] this their power unto their god.
12 Hina Gode! Musa: dafaganini, Di da Gode galu. Di da na Gode! Di da hadigidafa amola Fifi Ahoanusudafa. Hina Gode! Na Gode amola na Gaga: su! Di da Ba: bilone dunu ilegei dagoi. Di da ili gasa fufugilisili, ilia ninima se dabe ima: ne gasa fufugilisi.
Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O Lord, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O Protector, thou hast appointed them to correct [nations].
13 Be Di da abuliba: le amo wadela: i hamosu dunu amola hohonosu dunu ilima asigiwane ba: sala: ? Dia si da hadigidafaba: le, Di da wadela: i hou amola wadela: i hamobe dunu amo ba: mu gogolesa. Amaiba: le, Di da Ba: bilone dunuma, amo dunu da ilia moloi hou baligisa dunu, amo gugunufinisilalebe ba: sea, Di da abuliba: le ouiya: le esalabala?
Thou, who art too pure of eyes to behold evil, and canst not look on trouble, wherefore wilt thou look upon those that deal treacherously, be silent when the wicked swalloweth up him that is more righteous than he?
14 Menabo fi amola sage fi da ilima olelema: ne, ouligisu dunu hame gala. Di da abuliba: le Dia fi dunu ilima menabo amola sage fi ouligibi defele ouligisala: ?
And [why] makest thou men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
15 Ba: bilone dunu ilia da eno dunu menabo agoane ma: go amoga hiougisa. Ilia da dunu gasa: su amuni ganodini sa: i, hiouginana ahoa. Ilia da dunu gaguiba: le, hahawane nodone wele sia: sa.
All of them he bringeth up with the angle, he draggeth them up in his net, and gathereth them in his drag: therefore he rejoiceth and is glad.
16 Ilia da ilia menabo gasa: su amoma nodone sia: ne gadosa amola amoma gobele salasu hou hamosa. Bai ilia gasa: su amuni da ilima baligili noga: idafa liligi ilima iaha.
Therefore he sacrificeth unto his net, and burneth incense unto his drag; because through them is his portion fat, and his food marrowy.
17 Ilia da eso huluane, mae fisili ilia gegesu gobihei amoga fifi asi gala dunu ilima mae asigili, gugunufinisilaloma: bela: ?
Shall he therefore [always] empty his net, and continually slay nations without sparing?
