1 Yuda fi dunu amola Bediamini fi dunu ilia ha lai dunu da mugululi asi dunu da buhagili, Isala: ili Hina Gode Ea Debolo diasu gagubi nabi.
And they that afflicted Juda and Benjamin heard, that the children of the captivity were building a house to the Lord God of Israel.
2 Amaiba: le, ilia da Selubabele amola Isala: ili fi ouligisu dunu ilima asili, amane adole ba: i, “Ninia amola da Debolo diasu gagumusa: fidimu da defeala: ? Ninia Godema sia: ne gadosu da dilia Godema sia: ne gadosu amo defele sia: ne gadosa. Amola Asilia hina bagade Isaha: done da sia: beba: le ninia guiguda: misi, amo fa: no ninia da Godema gobele salasu hou huluane hamonana.”
And they drew near to Zorobabel, and to the heads of families, and said to them, We will build with you; for as ye [do], we seek [to serve] our God, and we do sacrifice to him from the days of Asaradan king of Assur, who brought us hither.
3 Selubabele, Yosiua amola Isala: ili fi ouligisu dunu da ilima amane adole i, “Ninia da Hina Gode Ea Debolo diasu gagusia, eno fidisu dunu hame lamu. Ninisu amo Besia hina bagade Sailase amo ea sia: i defele, gagumu.”
then Zorobabel, and Jesus and the rest of the heads of the families of Israel said to them, [It is] not for us and you to build a house to our God, for we ourselves will build together to the Lord our God, as Cyrus the king of the Persians commanded us.
4 Amalalu, dunu da musa: Isala: ili sogega esalu da Yu dunu beda: ma: ne gasa fi hamosu. Ilia da Yu dunu ilia Debolo gagumu hawa: hamosu hedofamusa: dawa: i galu.
And the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Juda, and hindered them in building,
5 Ilia da Besia eagene dunu amo Yu dunu ilia Debolo gagusu hawa: hamosu hedofama: ne, hano suligili muni ilima i. Amo hou ilia da Sailase ea Besia soge ouligisia amola fa: no Da: liase da Besia soge ouligisia, amo esoha ilia da mae fisili hamosu.
and [continued] hiring [persons] against them, plotting to frustrate their counsel, all the days of Cyrus king of the Persians, and until the reign of Darius king of the Persians.
6 Hina bagade amo Segesisi da Besia ouligisu hou lai dagoi. Ea ouligisu degabo laloba, dunu amo Yuda soge amola Yelusaleme ganodini esalu, ilima ha lai dunu da ilima fofada: musa: meloa dedene i.
And in the reign of Assuerus, even in the beginning of his reign, they wrote a letter against the inhabitants of Juda and Jerusalem.
7 Fa: no, hina bagade eno amo Adasegesisi da Besia soge ouligisia, ha lai dunu amo Bisila: me, Mililida: de amola Da: ibia: le ilia da Adasegesisima meloa dedene i. Amo meloa ilia da A: lama: ia: ge sia: ga dedei. Idisia, ilia da bu Besia sia: amoga afadenema: ne sia: i.
And in the days of Arthasastha, Tabeel wrote peaceably to Mithradates and to the rest of his fellow-servants: the tribute-gatherer wrote to Arthasastha king of the Persians a writing in the Syrian tongue, and [the same] interpreted.

Reum the chancellor, and Sampsa the scribe wrote an epistle against Jerusalem to King Arthasastha, [saying, ]
9 “Lihame (eagene hina dunu), Simisai (soge dedesu dunu), ela fidisu dunu, fofada: su dunu amola ouligisu dunu eno huluane (amo huluane da musa: Ila: me soge moilai bai bagade amo Ilege, Ba: bilone amola Susa amoga misi) amola
Thus has judged Reum the chancellor, and Sampsa the scribe, and the rest of our fellow-servants, the Dinaeans, the Apharsathachaeans, the Tarphalaeans, the Apharsaeans, the Archyaeans, the Babylonians, the Susanachaeans, Davaeans,

and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Assenaphar removed, and settled them in the cities of Somoron, and the rest [of them] beyond the river.
11 Ilia da meloa agoane dedene i, “Ninia da di, hina bagade Adasegesisi, ninia da dia hawa: hamosu dunu Guma: dini Iufala: idisi soge amo ganodini esala, dima meloa dedene iaha.
This [is] the purport of the letter, which they sent to him: Thy servants the men beyond the river to king Arthasastha.
12 Hina bagade! Di da Yelusaleme amoma doaga: i hou dawa: mu da defea. Yu dunu da dia soge eno amoga misini, Yelusaleme amo ganodini fili, ilia amo wadela: i amola hame nabasu moilai bai bagade amo bu gagulala. Ilia amo moilai bai bagade gagoi gagulala amola ea gagui da gadenenewane dagomu ba: sa.
Be it known to the king, that the Jews who came up from thee to us have come to Jerusalem the rebellious and wicked city, which they are building, and its walls are set in order, and they have established the foundations of it.
13 Hina bagade! Amo moilai bu gagusia amola amoea gagoi dagosea, Yu fi dunu da dima su muni iasu hou fisimu, amola dia su labe da ebelemu agoai ba: mu.
Now then be it known to the king, that if that city be built up, and its walls completed, thou shalt have no tribute, neither will they pay [anything], and this injures kings.
14 Di da nini huluane ouligisa. Amaiba: le, agoai hou doaga: mu ninia higa: i ba: mu. Ninia agoane dawa: ,
And it is not lawful for us to see the dishonour of the king: therefore have we sent and made known [the matter] to the king;

That examination may be made in thy fathers' book of record; and thou shalt find, and thou shalt know that city [is] rebellious, and does harm to kings and countries, and there are in the midst of it from very old time refuges for [runaway] slaves: therefore this city has been made desolate.
16 Amaiba: le ninia da agoane dawa: Ilia da amo moilai bai bagade amola ea gagoi bu gagusia, di hina bagade, da Guma: dini Iufala: idisi soge ouligimu hamedeiwane ba: mu.” Ilia da amo meloa Adasegesisi ema dedene i.
We therefore declare to the king, that, if that city be built, and its walls be set up, thou shalt not have peace.
17 Adasegesisi da ilima dabe meloa amane dedene i, “Dilia! Lihame (eagene hina dunu), Simisai (soge dedesu dunu) amola ela fidisu dunu Samelia soge amola Guma: dini Iufala: idisi soge amo ganodini esala. Asigi sia: sia: sa!
Then the king sent to Reum the chancellor, and Sampsa the scribe, and the rest of their fellow-servants who dwelt in Samaria, and the rest beyond the river, [saying, ]Peace; and he says,
18 Dilia nama meloa dedene iasi amo na sia: alofele iasu dunu da afadenene, nama idili i.
The tribute-gatherer whom ye sent to us, has been called before me.
19 Na sia: beba: le, na fidisu dunu da aowalali ilia meloa dedei amo hogolala ba: i. Dafawane! Musa: amola amo fa: no, Yelusaleme fi dunu da hina bagade ilia sia: hame nabasu, amola amo ganodini hame nabasu dunu amola nimi bagade dunu bagohame ba: su.
And a decree has been made by me, and we have examined, and found that city of old time exalts itself against kings, and that rebellions and desertions take place within it.
20 Gasa bagade Ba: bilone hina dunu da Yelusaleme amola Guma: dini Iufala: idisi soge huluane ouligisu. Ilia da su (da: gisi) muni amo dunuma lasu.
And there were powerful kings in Jerusalem, and they ruled over all the [country] beyond the river, and abundant revenues and tribute were given to them.
21 Amaiba: le, amo dunuma ilia Yelusaleme bu gagusu go fisima: ne sia: ma. Na da bu gaguma: ne sia: sea fawane, ilima bu gaguma: ne sia: ma.
Now therefore make a decree to stop the work of those men, and that city shall no more be built.
22 Ilia da na hou bu wadela: sa: besa: le, amo sia: hedolo adoma!” Adasegesisi da amo meloa dedene iasi.
[See] that ye be careful of the decree, [not] to be remiss concerning this matter, lest at any time destruction should abound to the harm of kings.
23 Sia: alofele iasu dunu da amo meloa Lihame amola Simisai amola ela fidisu dunu ilima idili i. Ilia da Yelusalemega hedolo asili, Yu dunu ilia moilai bai bagade gagusu logo hedofai dagoi.
Then the tribute-gatherer of king Arthasastha read [the letter] before Reum the chancellor, and Sampsa the scribe, and his fellow-servants: and they went in haste to Jerusalem and through Juda, and caused them to cease with horses and an [armed] force.
24 Debolo diasu bu gagusu logo da hedofaiba: le, ilia da hame hawa: hamosu. Amalalu, hina bagade eno ea dio amo Da: liase da Besia soge ouligisu hou lai. E da ode aduna ouligilalu,
Then ceased the work of the house of God in Jerusalem, and it was at a stand until the second year of the reign of Darius king of the Persians.
